Le Taupou-Manaia started in 1999 in American Samoa, a traditional performing arts academy that was set up to promote and preserve traditional Samoan arts, dance and crafts. This weekend it will be celebrating 20 years of teaching young women the siva fa’a taupou and also celebrating the launch of its New Zealand branch to be based in Auckland. Academy president Tuifa’asisina Korina Seiuli Lee joins us for more.
