Ko Kumā Mo Feke is the long anticipated Tongan/English edition of The Mouse and the Octopus, which was a finalist in the 2017 NZ Book Awards For Children and Young Adults. With two languages on each page, this newest addition to the Island Fables picture book series brings the Tongan trickster mouse to more young readers.

The Tongan language element of Ko Kumā Mo Feke is a poetic retelling by well known Tongan academic Dr Sitiveni Halapua. 

Known for his vibrant work, New Zealand-Tongan author and illustrator Lisala Halapua has written and illustrated three books: The Mouse and the Octopus, The Worm and the Whale and The Mouse and the Ant.
