Music offers many advantages for learning languages and Niuean musician Jackson Hekesi has used his musical gifts to maintain Vagahau Niue.  He was born in New Zealand before his family moved to Niue when he was 4 years old, a move he is grateful for.  Jackson is married to O'love and together they have four daughters who have also inherited the musical genes.

Sani as he is known to many in the Niuean community was originally part of Niuean family band known as Island Pride and also continues to produce his own music as one half of J’Love.
