Selina Alesana Alefosio is a  Tusitala mentee and author of Hiva & Heartbeats. A proud Tokelau creative, Selina teaches Tokelau dance and co-founded the arts collective The Kupega Affect.  Inspired by her own upbringing in Petone, her debut middle grade novel weaves family, 90s R’n’B, and identity into a heartfelt coming-of-age story that celebrates the rhythms of culture and growing up Pasifika in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
