Dan Leo is a former Samoan international rugby player who was born in New Zealand to Samoan parents and 39 caps for Manu Samoa between 2005 and 2014 when he was dropped from the team for asking questions of Samoan Rugby Union about the management of hundreds of thousands of pounds most of which was raised by public donations.

In an attempt to find understand why Samoa, Tonga and Fiji’s international sides continue to struggle to perform at top level despite the undoubted talent pool as their disposal Dan Leo set out to find answers in a documentary called Oceans Apart, Greed, Betrayal and Pacific Rugby.
