Dan Ken Aiono is a former lecturer and researcher at the University of Hawaii and Kapiolani Community College.  

He learned and studied Samoan culture and the performing arts under his father Aiono Keneti Sataraka, the founder and Director of the (W)Samoa National Cultural Group under the auspices of the Samoa Department of Education and the Government of Samoa.

He was an Entertainer/Musician for TAVANA SPECTACULAR (Moana Hotel), the best Polynesian Show ever, and later worked for TIHATI PRODUCTIONS in the 1980s.  

 He is the owner and recording engineer for Taupou Recording Studios which has produced and recorded over 100 Samoan and Polynesian CD/albums.  His band Le Pasefika has recorded 7 CDs.  

Dan Ken Aiono is the only Samoan photo-journalists to be credentialed by the World Rugby Cup for the Rugby World Cup, NCAA and the National Football League (NFL).  He is a former Editor and Publisher for the Samoa International News. He  also hosts a Radio show interviewing “Whos Who of Samoa Worldwide” for Radio Samoa - New Zeal
