As many of you will be aware, COVID-19 has had a significant impact on our community as we were asked to change our approach to how we do things, including staying home to save lives.

It has been a busy time in our hospitals also across the country who were tasked with preparing for the potential rise in COVID-19 cases while at the same time working to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

With us this morning is Counties Manukau Health Chief Executive Officer, Fepulea’i Margie Apa, to provide an update on the approach the DHB has taken at national Alert Level 2, particularly around visitor restrictions that are still in place at the hospital and across other DHB sites.
