View descriptionShare

Yesterday it was announced that two people in Tokoroa had tested positive with COVID.  This has sparked unease for vulnerable rural areas.

The South Waikato Pacific Islands Community Services was established back in 1991 to deliver a range of community health, social and Whanau Ora services to the people of Tokoroa.  It is also a member of Aere Tai.

Cook Islander Akarere Henry was born and raised in Tokoroa a place wher she says the Pasifika community is thriving.  Akarere is the C.E.O for South Waikato Pacific Islands Community Services Trust.
