Simon Lim puts the spotlight on writer and poet, Theophilus Kwek. Theophilus' first book of creative non-fiction has been published and it is titled "ODEON: AN ODE".
If you grew up in a time when Odeon Cinema was still around, you will find this book a most interesting read. Even if you never had the chance to step into Odeon Cinema (because it was before your time), you will be intrigued as Theophilus transports you to different times and brings you his reimagination through his writing. Delve into the many lives of 331 North Bridge Road: as rubber factory, postwar cabaret, trade union headquarters and more.
This book traces the stories of two individuals as they thread through this unlikely window between worlds.
Get to know the erudite and sagacious Theophilus Kwek who will share more about his first book of creative non-fiction "ODEON: AN ODE".
