Chinese calligraphy is known as shūfǎ (書法/书法). Chinese calligraphy is a 4,000–5,000-year-old art form originating from Shang Dynasty oracle bones, evolving from pictographs into a refined aesthetic practice representing cultural, moral, and, from the 4th century onwards, elite artistic expression.

Quek Keng Hwang is the Founder of Brush & Ink - Chinese Calligraphy & Fine Arts Studio. Keng's students comprise of different nationalities and ethnic backgrounds.
