Chinese calligraphy is known as shūfǎ (書法/书法). Chinese calligraphy is a 4,000–5,000-year-old art form originating from Shang Dynasty oracle bones, evolving from pictographs into a refined aesthetic practice representing cultural, moral, and, from the 4th century onwards, elite artistic expression.
On this podcast, Simon Lim features Quek Keng Hwang (also known as Keng), an accredited Chinese calligraphy instructress. Keng is a member of the Hong Kong Association of Calligraphy and Painting.
Quek Keng Hwang is the Founder of Brush & Ink - Chinese Calligraphy & Fine Arts Studio.  Keng's students comprise of different nationalities and ethnic backgrounds.
