What has inspired ambitious African development plans over the last two decades and what has become of them?

View descriptionShare

We spoke to lecturer at King's College London, Dr. Barnaby Joseph Dye about how contemporary economic challenges in Africa appear to be shifting the continent into a new era of development.

A study by Dr. Dye and Dr. Biruk Terrefe, lecturer & Postdoctoral Researcher at Bayreuth University has looked into how Rwanda and Ethiopia tried to shape the future of development in Africa and explores the inspiration behind ambitious African national plans over the last two decades and assumptions made about how development happens and how it should look like.
