In our "Art has a Place' feature we speak to Africa's  leading art auction house, Strauss & Co. 

Despite a decrease in global art sales Strauss and Co. was able to achieve an increase of annual results of $19.7 million for 2023, up 2% from the previous year. According to the recently released ArtTactic report auction sales of modern, contemporary African artists have declined however remain healthy.
