AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL OUTLINES THE RAMICAFICATIONS OF TEEN PREGNANCY

View descriptionShare

According to Amnesty International the increase in adolescent childbearing in South Africa is a cause for concern.

The statistics show a concerning situation with the number of births by young and adolescent girls between the ages 10 and 14 years increasing by 48.7%.

This is unfortunate as most of these girls have to leave school and hence fall behind with their school work.

In this conversation #OntheMove chats with Amnesty International South Africa’s Casssandra Dorasamy, who is a research consultant for the organisation.
