Urgent clarity is being sought over why the two main North West hospitals were seemingly excluded from a nationwide rollout of specialist crisis nursing teams.

Ten hospitals across the country are set to benefit from new specialist mental health teams in a bid to strengthen crisis supports out-of-hours in emergency departments.

However, neither Sligo nor Letterkenny University Hospital have been included in the rollout.
