It's been confirmed that another small rural school will close in the North West on Friday.
Killavil National School in Ballymote will not be reopening in September.
The closure of the school is linked to falling student numbers and comes despite the school running a strong campaign to attract additional students.
Michelle Brennan Shyabo is a former local election candidate and a member of the Sinn Fein Ard Comhairle, she says it's another example of the decline of rural Ireland:
