The number of child protection and welfare cases awaiting allocation in the North West has been described as alarming.
Tusla figures show 812 cases are awaiting allocation in the region up to the second quarter of this year.
The figure is said to be the highest in the country, outside Dublin.
Aontú representative for Donegal Mary T Sweeney says the reality is that these are
cases of vulnerable children that urgently need a key worker:
