The centenary of Fianna Fail is being celebrated with a commemoration event near Leitrim Village in the coming weeks.

The event is taking place in Drumhierny, which was the home place of M.J. O'Connor, a longtime associate of Eamon De Valera.

Debates and panels between local and national Fianna Fail members will be held on the day.
