The Ocean Sands Hotel in Enniscrone has won a national hospitality award.

Earlier this week the hotel claimed the Pet Friendly Destination of the Year award at the Georgina Campbell Irish Food & Hospitality Awards in Dublin.

General Manager at the Ocean Sands Jennifer Howley believes it's proof that the hotel is moving in the right direction:

Enniscrone hotel claims Irish hospitality award

A new collection of WB Yeats' poetry has been launched.

It's targeted at adult learners who may have difficulty interpreting the Sligo poet's works.

The collection was created with the help of adult learners and was released earlier this week.

Sports clubs across Sligo are being urged to apply for funding under the new Community Sports Facilities Fund.

The funding round opens/opened for registration on Monday and will allow grants of up to €750,000

The application window will open next month and remain open until February of next year.

Sligo County Council Leas Cathaoirleach Thomas Walsh says there are three tiers in the system:

An Apple Day Festival is set to take place in Rossinver tomorrow.

The Ull Abu Festival is being supported by Failte Ireland and Leitrim Tourism, and will celebrate Irish food, seasonal produce, resilience and local culture.

It's set to get underway from 12-4pm tomorrow at the Organic Centre in Rossinver.
