In 2016, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room during Fashion Week, where masked thieves tied her up and stole about $10 million worth of jewelry—most notably her diamond ring—before fleeing. She wasn’t physically harmed, but the incident led her to drastically change her security and public social-media habits.
