On the International Day of Peace (21st September 2023), The Tamar Valley Peace Festival hosted a forum to discuss the theme of the power and potential of festivals to be a driver of positive social change through awareness, education and change and the opportunity this creates to build more peaceful communities.
Rhoda Roberts AO provided an insight on the potential of festivals to draw communities together to celebrate and tackle the issues of our time.
Following her address, Rhoda was joined by Rose Boccalatte (Equality Tasmania) and Natalie De Vito (creative producer/curator, arts and festivals consultant) to discuss how festivals can drive change especially if we stop, listen and learn.
