Denver ballot initiative 309, which would've banned slaughterhouses in the city limits of Denver, failed 65 percent to 35 percent. This is a huge win for the sheep industry and agriculture. 

Dale Flikkema of Bozeman was recently awarded a second best in the nation award for his dryland spring wheat achieving over 113 bushels an acre. The award came from the National Wheat Foundation and their annual wheat yield contest.
