Yeah, it was Covid. I had a job though, as a marketing coordinator of a shopping center in Melbourne, and I really loved that job, but I was earning sixty k a year and I was still living at home and I really wanted to move out, and I financially couldn't afford to move out of home. My end goal at that time was to buy a house one day, and I was like, how am I going to buy a house one day if I can't even move out of home to rent somewhere. What was your game plan? You're a smart woman, you know a lot about marketing. You obviously didn't just go into it for a lark. You knew what you were trying to do, So what was the strategy?

So I had about eight thousand subscribers when I had the free subscription model, and so I knew when I switched to paid that I would lose a lot of them, and I ended up going down to about seven hundred subscribers at that time, so I lost like so many. But the way that I looked at at the time was, well, the people that I've lost probably won't really paint for content. The people that have stayed are the ones that are actually mostly buying the content. And it was a bit stressful for like a month or two there. I think it was like June July twenty twenty two that this was happening. But then yeah, eventually I just put in the hard work and I rebuilt my subscribe account and now I'm at like seven thousand paid subs.

Yes, So that was a big part of it. And TikTok was my main source of marketing that I was using get subscribers, and I was doing very well on TikTok at that time, so it was translating very very well. The other thing that you need to keep in mind is that you need to figure out a way to keep these subscribers. So if you're just posting, oh, one video here or another video three weeks later, like it's all over the place, they're going to be like, what the hell we want consistency. So I was very strict with myself and made sure that I was sending out a piece of content, a video, a full video, and a photo every single day so that they would see that I was consistent with it and they would want to stay on my page.

She was worried about what I'm going to do in five years, or what's going to happen when the money drives up, or what's my future plan? How am I going to find a partner and all that kind of thing. What am I going to tell my kids when I have them? And I had an answer for literally every single thing that she brought up, and once we had that phone call, ever since then, she's been one hundred percent supportive.

You know exactly what you're doing and what you're not doing. Have you seen some pitfalls and some traps that you've specifically tried to avoid.

What I see a lot these days is these girls thinking that they're going to create an account and become millionaires overnight, and that is not it. Like, you have to work so hard to get followers, to get subscribers, to make sure your videos, like your social media videos, get seen, and really make a name and a brand for yourself. It is such hard work, and people really don't realize that. So I've seen a lot of girls start an account having this idea in their head, and then you know, realizing, wait a second, is actually so much harder than I thought. This is too much work, I'm not being successful, And they try and go back to a job and they can't because they've gotten enough coverage or enough media coverage or whatever, you know that no one will take them back. So that's something I see a lot that's really sad.
