Right here in the A here you is Ai, So Joe, Joe Johnson, what's up? It's going on? What's so? What's up? Oh Joe? What y'all got going on?
Man?
Hey, we appreciate you staying up late at night. Boys, Bro, we appreciate this.
I don't know problem, man, I couldn't miss says, I appreciate y'all for having me on the show, all the success you guys have. Man, it continues to say, so, I really appreciate y'all. I'm a huge fan.
Yes, all right, appreciate this.
The Warriors beat the Lakers won twenty three, one sixteen. The Lakers cut the lead once sixteen point fourth quarter lead. They got it down to five, but they couldn't get over the hub. The Dubs bench outscored the Lakers bench twenty sixty seven. Lebron thirty three points, nine assists, five rebounds, Austin Reeves thirty one points, six rebounds, Really twenty four points, six rebounds. Luca had nineteen points on six and seventeen shooting, eight rebounds, seven assists.
Brat.
In the first half, Pods outscored Luca and Lebron. Lebron he had twenty two. They combined for sixteen. I think the kind of the difference in this ball game, Joe, correct me if I'm wrong, and I know you watched it was the bench. The bench production one team bench gave them twenty six because you kind of got okay, Steph had thirty seven, but Lebron gave you thirty three. And then when you factor in aust Reeves, Okay, so that's a push. Now, Jimmy Butler and Draymond lucakt of offset them. But so if you get offset offset, now where's that production gonna come from?
And you see the Golden State Warriors bench, they.
Outscored the Lakers bench by nineteen and the difference in the ball game, I think was what seven points, one twenty three to one sixteen. When you watch this ball game, what did you like or what didn't you like from what you saw in this ball game? First off, when I seen Broun come in with them purple overhalls, now I know it's gonna be some trouble.
Oh he came to watch.
You say, ain't coming to work today.
But I thought it was a great game. Man.
They got off to a hot start. Both teams was on fire to start the game. And yeah, it came down to the bench. And that's kind of what it's gonna be like in the playoffs. You know that game gonna kind of slow down a little bit, and I like what the Warriors got. They got a bunch of guys over there, man who ain't scared to take the big shot, make big plays and create big opportunities. So they came into La with it on their mind tonight because normally the Lakers have had their way with the Warriors. Over the last several years they've had Lebron has been sensational. He was sensational again tonight. What would be ten or fifteen. He didn't take a whole lot of shots. He was very, very efficient. I thought sometimes Joe he overpassed the ball, and I think if you watch him now, starts the game in pass mode. He's not looking to attack. He's looking, Okay, Austin, you go do your thing. Okay, Luca, you do your thing. He's not in a mode where he's like, okay, I can go get mine. And if you go back and look to say, the last seven eight games, the first half he has not played well.
He's most of.
The time he's under double digits in the first half, and then he picks it up as he goes. This was by far the best game that he's played since that injury. Me seeing it and you I watch all the game, Joe, But I thought this was his best game. The second half he became aggressive. He wasn't aggressive to start with twenty five points in the second half. I think he had fourteen in the third quarter, eleven in the uh leven in the fourth in the fourth quarter. But what did you like, boy, what you saw from Lebron tonight as opposed the previous night coming back from this injury. Yeah, this seemed like it was probably the best game he's had since his injury.
He was in pretty good rhythm.
But yeah, he does it seems like he kind of comes out a little unselfish early to kind of get those guys in rhythm and get them going, and sometimes it kind of hurts him kind of late because you know what I mean.
But I seen him.
He did the same thing today, and it's like in the second half he feel like, Okay, I got to give us something in order for us to win. But I think sometimes him being a little too unselfish, I think it kind of, you know, hurts his rhythm because in basketball, bro, you know the scores, and I know he do a lot of things for the Lakers, a lot of good.
Things for him as well.
Uh, you know, scoring is a rhythm game, you know what I mean, So they don't have to just you know, with him coming out he may have ten to twelve assists in the first half, but offensively, he'll have a rhythm to get his own, you know, and it takes him a little while.
Hey, I don't think somebody like Lebron that's experienced as Lebron. He can't come into a game and facilitate first, knowing that the games he's had previously, they haven't been as he hasn't been Lebron, the Lebron that we're used to seeing. He can't come into a game and facilitate and allow the game to come to him instead of being aggressive out front.
Man, I think Broun, No, he can do whatever he wanted at this point. Honestly, I think you got you gotta he gotta. He knows he has another level of two he's gonna have to go, especially when the playoffs starts. Right right now, they just trying to finish the season obviously get great seating, but he knows when the playoffs start, Yes, sir.
We're gonna feel a whole different Lebron.
We're gonna have to I think the difference is now though, O Joe, you say, Kitty's just facilitate, but now he has another ball handler.
Yes, so where it.
Was just him and Auster Reeves, now he's gonna get his shots. Now you got Luca. Luca's gonna get twenty plus shots tonight. Right, Auster Reeves wants somewhere between fifteen to twenty shots tonight.
There's only so many shots can go.
Around, so where he could normally get his rhythm because he knows he's gonna be able to get those shots now Luca and Ouster Reeves, because he's coming into his own they're cutting into that.
So he can't wait like he wants could.
To just go get his shots because they're gonna come few and far between. Because now if Luca gets going, now you're not gonna get in shots because you don't want to take him out of this risk. We've seen oster Reeves get going, you don't want to take him out of his rhythm. And the farther they get going and stay in their rhythm, the further you get removed from being in your rhythm. So it gets harder and harder as we get the older. And now he has two guys that can take up some of the score and slack.
Yeah, I agree. What do you think about that, Joe?
I think, uh, tonight, with Austin Reeves and everybody getting off to such a great start, he kind of fed out that. That's kind of he goes really into real passive mode and he keeps feeding him until you know, they kind of pol off, and then that's when he tries to pick up. And I think that's the thing. They kind of heard him from time to time. But like I said, man, when the playoffs start, it's gonna be a whole, totally different ball game. I'm looking forward to it. But what did you like about what you saw from stuff? Because Stephan he saw Pods have it going early, he didn't. He didn't force anything. Now all of a sudden, he's putting the ball before you gotta try to run him off the three.
He knows you're gonna try to run him off the three.
So now he has the ability to side step you still get off the three, or put the ball on the on the floor and get to the rim. Even though he's not above the rim player, he's magic around the basket. He don't have to be above the rim player because he shoots so great from the outside that if he raises eyebrown, you're gonna jump.
So he knows that. He knows that.
So his in between games is so good, whether he's shooting floaters or whether he dished Draymond for he's the Layers, or spraying out to Moody for three. So you know he has a defense in a huckle buck. And if you go run out there with some emphasis on some urgency, you know what's going either.
Yeah. Right.
And also if you think about it, he and Draymond, because you know, because they shoot so many three, they fetter rebounding team that you think even though they're small, because they get up so many three and the balls coming off everywhere and guys are scrambling and they get the rebound. So they're gonna out rebound a lot of teams even though they're small. You thinking like, oh man, we're gonna punish them on the glass.
No you're not.
You know you're not, because you got Draymond and Jimmy Butler, who are Bluke Collin gurkers, and they're gonna do all the little things, box down, rebound and do the nasty dirty work that a lot of guys not gonna do and it's gonna resold into a lot of sick and chance opportunities for those guys to kick out and shoot threes.
Listen.
I don't know how the NBA season will go. I'm not sure, but when the playoffs come, the Lakers Warriors playoff, I think NBA fans would love this. I think it's something like that that would be really really dope. A seven game series with these with with these two teams playing, and as far as Steff goes on, listen, somebody like that that can put the ball on the floor, can shoot and score from from all three all three levels, there's.
No way to stop that.
And obviously the Lakers, the Lakers, eventually they got they got to do much, They got to do much better if just so happened. Hypothetic speaking, they happen to meet up and it's in a in a seven game series, and like you say, two paste, copy and paste.
Lakers and five.
I think because because Draymond, Draymond and and and and Steph has played the well so long together, they understand, they get that rebound and Draymond just bouncing behind his back, he doesn't even he ain't not even look it, but he knows Steph and they did a great job tonight.
If you notice Joe, every they ran picked No, I want that one.
I want Luka whoever, whoever, Luca garn bring your vans to let me so. Just as much as the Lakers gonna try to pick on Steph and close Rudy hotch Man and all those guys and work, we're gonna do the same thing to look and bring him all down here.
We're gonna get the switch and we're gonna make it.
Move with him, puppets, man, he gotta move, move him feet. Yeah, it's a blessing of the curse. Because he can only move so fast. He's never gonna be a He's no, he's never gonna be a great defender, especially because they have him out in space.
Now he's I mean, you're not gonna be able to just back him down.
But if you get him out of space, okay, he might stop the initial, but now can you stop the second? Can he stopped the third? Because at first time the move that Steph loved Joe. He has step at the first step said okay, you got that a good job, you got the good challenge. Oh, let me go back over here. Oh, I think I got your leader. And now you've got the float to the realm. I've been there, man, I've been there. It's gonna be challenging, you know, because they gonna seek Luca every play down the great defensive.
They gonna make him play defense. He's not just.
Gonna baby use all his use all his energy for offense. And that's how teams feel like they're gonna pick on the Lakers. Yes, yeah, you got to because because if you look at if you look at it, Joe uh Austin reeves, your Luca are great defenders. Okay, let me then, I don't take great out of it. They're not there there, their average to below average defenders. So now you got two of those. Now you only got one big, which is Jackson Hayes. And he's a you know, he can get some foul troub. I mean he comes and going. I mean he like all over the damn place. He looking at the stars like that. So he's all over the place. So now that puts a lot of emphasis on a guy like Lebron. And look and Lebron coming off injury, you know he's not gonna do too much because he don't want to do anything sudden jump and Red and re injure that growing absolutely, Hayes out. They're really small team they are, man, they need they need they need some help in it, in that paint to help Jackson Hayes and Lebron because.
That's how gonna get it in the playoffs. Man, he's gonna need way more than that.
You know, every player is intensified in the playoffs, and you know, a knick knack or an ankle spraying or something minor can happen. You know, it's a playoff series, so it's gonna it's gonna linger. Man, they ain't gonna hear up to all seasons. So they need some help.
They need.
You got to think about it about we've been saying they need help all this time. We talked about Jackson Hayes obviously being the only big, the only person that can play the five. Lebron could switch and go to the fire sometime depending on circumstance in the game, depending on the situation. But Joe, what Joe just said, they need they need a big It's not gonna work in the playoffs, Ain't nobody.
It's too late.
Now that it's too late now at this point to go and get somebody. So you got to figure out how to do it. Plan small and then you also have to figure out how to do it. But you got two light believes on defense and Rings and Luca, and make sure all the energy in their output is spent putting up points on offense.
Yeah, because they had the unfortunate case.
Uh, we're not getting the Mark Williams kid, you know, not have the center.
It's hurting him because he could. He could do a lot of justice for them. Man, he could.
He caners looking a lot better than what they've been looking these past a few games. Because now you start Mark Williams and you bring Jackson Hayes off the bench, which is the role he's best suited for. Now those fifteen minutes you playing now they're spread out at the tail in you let Mark Williams take the lion's year. Now you bring him in now at all times, you got somebody to protect the paint right now with jack When Jackson Hayes goes out, they don't have anybody to protect the rem So basically it's a layup line because once they're gonna keep Luka.
They're going to keep Luca in the pick and roll.
The Lakers don't have once Once Jackson Hayes go out the game, the Lakers don't have their live through it anymore. And uh, it's kind of bunching up the game. And you can tell they just penetrated kicking. A lot of times guys do have their in between games, but they kicking out for three so much that it's making them hard.
From the score.
They went into a lass day to where it took him a while, you know, to score some points.
So and the playoffs is gonna slow down. And Brown knows that.
And I'm sure, like I said, he's gonna go to another level or two. But man, they needs to helping them paint. Yeah, unfortunately that's not coming until next year unless they could do something in the art.
Unless they can, they can't. They can't pick up nobody's for the playoffs. No, ain't nobody.
They picked up Alex Lynn and he just right now he's just waiting to be the tallest coach ever because he he terrible as a player right now, Joe, I mean, I mean, ain't nowhere around it. Ain't nowhere around it. They put him in the game, and he ain't. They gonna have to kill you on the rocks. They gonna need that body, man, I'm telling they gonna need that body.
He gonna that's all he is. That's all you know what I'm saying.
Oh Joe, you Joe, you're from Arkansas, right, Yeah, from Little Rock? Okay, so you know being from the cutch Trap.
You from Little Rock.
I'm from South Georgia. We care for whole car in the backyard to take parts apop it. He wasn't worth the damn but we just use it for spare parts.
What we do it with a lee.
He's just gonna be out there taking He's gonna be out there taking them space.
That's it. I ain't listen. I ain't listen. Man.
Them people get in find trouble and in them playoffs, they gonna need somebody to step in there and give him three.
Four five founds.
Yeah, I'm telling you, but but that's all he that's all he he. Oh Joe, we go out there, Hey, man, we need to corporate him. They're gonna see it that. Hey, we need a man of forore pants. We just camlet confirmed regularly. Whatever Sparks was or something righting, go ahead, go ahead.
Yeah, piece it up, trying to make it work.
We gotta do it that we can to buy some time, especially venim guys, especially Jackson Hayes, getting into any type of foul trouble. Man, y'all gotta throw somebody out there. Y'all can't have Broun playing in the center.
Bro So.
And the thing is with Jackson Hayes, he's gonna get in foul trouble because because of the way he plays, he's out of position a lot, and he he doesn't really control his body that well, and he's he ludging into guys and stuff like that, and he.
Spent pro mm hmm.
Hey, they not listening to you talking you talked about Hey, that wasn't the pot, bro. Ain't nobody listening to you talking to the official. They just like juning you out.
Hey, he used to playing at all these minutes? Man, they leaning on that. There they are, they are.
Listen sometime the owners got to be on Lebron. Listen. Once we get to the playoffs, he got to talk to Jackson and Hayes. Listen. You don't have to challenge everything. You don't have to challenge everything. Early on in the game. There's no need to get in foul trouble man, young boy, don't have me going to the five exert and all that goddamn in is you on defense?
Having played y'all, he ain't trying to get in fire trouble, bro, Yeah, he ain't trying to.
I know.
He a look wild out there. That man excited. Look somehow, So he ended up as an only bid for the Lakers. He's like, oh yeah, he I'm playing with Luke and lebron Man.
After the time his.
Life death, I mean, he came from the Pelicans.
Think about it, and he probably not gonna have it this good again.
But I think I think the Warriors have to be really pleased because Jimmy Butler didn't give him a whole lot tonight normally, even though when he's not giving him anything, he's at the file line, so he's given he's given Steph an opportunity to rest. So when the clock stops, when my stepf can get the rest. Because Steph is perpetual motion, he's not hey, he's he's just running. He's running baseline, he's coming to the top. He's back. That's all he's doing. He's running the whole game, and so and as Joe said, come playoff time. However, minutes you normally play tack two to three on come on the playoff time. So if you playing thirty three minutes, you're gonna go to thirty six. If you're playing thirty five, you going to thirty eight. We talking about hard toughman's But the one thing I do like about the Warriors, you know, Draymond's not a great offensive threat, but he knows his role. Mean, when that boss gets kicked to him, he goes right into a dribbled handof because ain't nobody guarding and not Steph come off Scott three shooting him line open threes, and uh, that's been the kind of money for them, you know, going down the stretch and sometimes he'll hit you with the dribble drive. He'll fake the handoff and drive it and let go all the way to the red with it. And the thing is, look, at some point in time, you got to live with that. If Draymond go hit two to three, three, three threes, you're probably gonna lose the game. If Jimmy Butler at the time, no time on the clock and you just ease it up. You're probably gonna lose like that, So you're gonna have to live with something. You try to minimize step that's the damage, that's the that's the look. If you get step in the trauma center, you can live with a paper cut. Steph sending you to the trauma center, and that's where you stop. You know, you're not trying to go to Oh Jo. You don't clan that you get a little band aid. When they call a paramedic for your too much you in trouble, then yeah, step in the paramedic.
I'm just trying to get a little band That's the hard part though.
You know Steph and the trauma center of regards to who regards to who you plan. So you want to deal with the trauma, but you want to limit everything else the other four people limit, eliminate them, or just make sure you find a way to stop up and down.
That's it.
If Trey, if you don't deal with the trauma from Steph, make sure you deal with the other foe and carry on like that.
It's kind of.
Hard because they're either gonna put after Reads or they're gonna put Luca in the pick and roll. They're gonna keep running because they those are the guys. So because you finish, finish, Smith didn't give us anything tonight, or gave Vincent didn't give you anything tonight. You need something from those guys. We committed them the other night, o Joe. Because remember both of those guys gave you twenty Yeah, both of those guys get at least sixty three or sixty three.
They've got to give you something.
Now, if they're not giving you anything, you hope, you hope they give you something offensively. But if they're not giving you anything offensively, Austin a Phiney Smith.
Got it do gotta he gotta lock it down.
You can't be you can't be booty cheeks on both ends, Joe.
Now you gotta. They gonna need guys to pitch in. Man.
I just feel like, you know, they put so much pressure on Luca and Lebron to be great every night.
Yes, you know it's gonna be hard to win like that.
That's why I think Austin Reeves is playing out of his mind and ship He's giving him great help. But they're gonna need more help from Ruy to be consistently uh up for them On a ninety ninth basis, especially when they get the postseason.
I think the thing is a plus.
I like Dalton connect, but he annoys He annoys JJ because he doesn't understand his defensive responsibilities.
He gets so lost.
They put him in the pick and roll and both guys, and they put him in the screen, the high screen, and he goes to the guy that's rolling when he's supposed to player to the guy that popped, and he.
Gets lost every time.
And look, I've only been around JJ for half a year, but i just know that annoys him. And what I told you, you got to have patience as a coach. And when you go over something in film study and then he come in the game and mounk it up, like, Bro, this is why you over here.
This is why you're not playing.
And Joe, I know you can speak to this guys that you know, Okay, you go over something and shoot around, you go over something in film study and then you get into the game and I've been damn it, you don't mess it up.
Hey.
That And that's their rookie syndrome. Bro, That's why the something rookies in the big games and the big senu was because you got to understand his attention to details facially on the defensive end, knowing when the switch, how to switch.
Who to close out to, who not to close out to.
And a lot of times, you know, rookies don't really understand that. They take him a year or two to kind of figure that.
Parn out. Yeah, so, uh, who do you think Joe Nee is another title?
More?
Stephan Broun? Oh, I'll say Broun. I say Brun. Yeah, man, Yeah, I say Brun.
Even though they won't one, even though he's wrong one already in la Uh in the bubble, I think him get another one.
I mean he already to a lot of people, you know, he's their goal. Uh.
Man, he's gonna have all the records when he's done. Man for him to capitalize, I have another championship in l A.
Yeah, I think what I think. Look, look what he's doing at forty. Man, this is crazy.
You know, we we we kind of get on him, you know at times when he's not playing great, but you still have to realize that man forty years old and he's still out there pulting up elite numbers. Right, Yeah, and he's gonna end the season averaging twenty four, eight and eight at the age of forty. Hey, a guy that's twenty five averaging twenty four eight and eight.
That's a max contract guy.
The guy's gonna get three fifty at least forty Hella hella.
Hey, hey, Joe, you think you think they who you think they hold Lebron at a different standard obviously because of who he is, what he's been able to do, the longevity is the consistency to be in year twenty two to plan the ways playing at forty I to me, I mean I, if you ask me, I think maybe Steph would be more suited to be one to to maybe need another ring as opposed to Lebron.
The way I see it, you know is, despite my my lack thereof exquisite knowledge of basketball, it seems like his legacy has already submitted, whether he wins another.
One or not. He's talking about Steph, No, I'm talking about Lebron.
Nah, I think, uh, because Braun has been great for so long. He's been in the game since he was eighteen and man forty years old.
Yeah.
Uh that, and he's played at a crazy level.
Level, you know what I mean.
So this is uh, this is new to all of us. You know, every point that goes down for him is in history. Boy, Like we're looking at the leading score of NBA history. So I know we take you know, we'll take that in and and and you know you can't take that for granted, for what he's doing and you know, having longevity and still playing this high level.
So you know, to some, to some aspects, yeah, I want to see him win another one.
Okay, Okay, Joe, what I tell you, Hey, Joe, I got to show.
You the ball Lebron gave me. He signed to fifty k point ball for me.
Let me see that joint. Oh Joe, you got to cut it out. You gotta you gotta chill. You gotta chill.
You gotta chilly, You gotta chill. Bo boy. You, Hey, you can't keep letting that man get away. That man is on the Hey, got it?
And Joe, And what I tell people all the time, when you're a great player, and I'm sure you got this, they don't compare you to other players.
They compare you to your younger self.
As you started to get older, Joe, they say, man, I remember the twenty five year old Joe. He would have got that shot off. He ain't been able to get to the rim. He hain't been able to draw that file. People looking at Lebron, they don't, they don't, they don't put forwards zero. All they say, I remember Lebron would have rolls up and he deducted on him. I remember Lebron would have got all the way to he'd got all the way to the rim.
They're not looking at the age.
All they do is compare you to a younger version of yourself. Yeah, and obviously he don't have the athletic athleticism that he once had for smart at his gage and age of his game that it's even more impressive now to watch him than it is when he was twenty two or twenty three. Right, Yeah, So I enjoyed. I enjoy how this game has evolved and how he's kept up with the Joneses, because when I came into the game, Uncanochos guys won pump fake and and side stepping and none of that.
They weren't doing none of that.
So you know, he's lined all and yeah, need to play, and he's added and implemented so many different things in his game, the three ball because he wasn't a He wasn't a heavy three ball shooter when he got into the league either. Now now he has the three. Now he has the three ball. Yeah, that's what really, that's what really has helped him because what he's like, he's top ten in three point shots. We don't look over eleven thousand rebounds, over ten thousand of sists.
We know the forty plus thousand points.
But something that we never thought that we would see that Lebron James will be top ten and three points. So the evolution guy that could evolve the greatest, the greatest trick to survive with adaptability.
He had to be.
Able to adapt to the game as it evolved.
And you see some of the other guys couldn't adapt to the game and even though they were pretty good players. You know, I was listening to Mellow Talk, Melo said, man, I need to get to the mid range. Well, they no longer want of the mid range because they don't value the mid range. We need you to be a spot up three sport shooter. We need you to be a catching three three point shooter. Yeah, I think that's what's made him tough to guard because if he's making that jump shot, it's over.
It's gonna be a good night for him to night. So I think that's that's the key.
Like you said, if he sees that first one go in, you know it's gonna be a long night for the for the defense. So you know, he had you on your heels because if he's making it, then you gotta shake his hand, and you know he's had an unbelievable night from the three you know, from the past few years, especially this year. Let's go to a game Buddy Hill and Jovin Rant was warned by the NBA about that the finger guns.
But Buddy in tonight, y'all hit the game winner. Man, you know where he beat it? Beat the heat.
Yeah, Man, Joe, if you could, if you look have a veteran played seventeen eighteen years in this league, yeh, if you had an opportunity to sit down with y'all and impart some wisdom upon him, what would you tell him? I tell him, Uh, John, come, come, come spend some time with me. Come getting this hot yoga room, and we're gonna zap all that little energy up out of you. And it ain't gonna beat none of them, man, he ain't gonna be fine, No more than we're gonna we're gonna get you right. But I think that's kind of what the NBA is lacking, honestly, that veteran presence that can help these young guys, because nowadays you got guys getting drafted and they go on to teams and and and Job is the guy who they're looking up to, you know what I mean, y'all twenty three, twenty four, twenty three, twenty four, and these are the guys who you know, your young guys are looking up to him, immolating and want to be like so uh, I think you gotta have older guys in that man who can't really teach these dudes or show him how to be pros on and off the floor.
Yes, sir, Yeah, Hey.
Joe, do you think, obviously you think about players like that that are young, like a Job and some of the other players that around the league, do you think trying to tone down some of the some of the mannerisms, some of the extracurricular activity and things they like to do on the court, do you think that it will take away from their game and what makes them them Being that he's so young and he can resonate with with the rest of the youth. You think that some of that, some of that that that what makes Joah joah in general.
Yeah, No, I love it.
I know they probably gonna try to ban some of the stuff, but I love the antiques and the celebrations and things that sort.
I think that's kind of what makes the game. That's what fans love to see.
It's just like in football when guys for they love to see the damning and the teams coming together, the good camaraderie of teams, and fans enjoying watching that. You know, they don't want to just see a boying game. They want to see the excitement that comes with it. So I hope they don't eliminate or get technical files for all the ex sensiveness of some of it. It's kind of warranted. But man, I ain't gonna lie ojo some of this stuff. He is kind of getting out of hand.
Man.
I watched a lot of AU basketball. I got an AAU program myself, and man, these kids, so they hit one shot, they shoot me your here, they talk about this.
Hey man, listen, they shoot up the whole jail.
So uh, it's I love to see the fire them and the competitive nation that comes with it. But some of the anti yeah, they start fights, bro, they started fighting ahead. Yeah, because oo, what do the younger people see, because think about it, all these kids not do. All they do now is shoot three. They saw step got three seven years old. They launched it. The same thing with the NFL. Whatever they see the NFL, they see the gritty, they see hey, oh Joe. Remember they outlawn, the throats, lash the kids in the high school, young kids. So this is the same thing. These kids they want to emulate that, they want to be that. And so the NFL, in these sports leagues say, nah, we don't we you look, we ain't try to set that president. We want you to have fun. And I get it to a certain certain extent, but sometimes I think the players do go overboard. I think they got a responsibility because these young kids look.
Up to them.
You you you you selling shoes, you sending merch, you send the faith. You say, hey, I want you to I want you to support me. I want you to be blame blah blah blah. But then when we do that, now, don't do that. Nah, them kids be bought all the way in everything you do everything you wear. I talk what you do? They follow that.
Yeah, and job and Joe's polarizing. Man.
He empty uptimately could have been or could be the postal board of the NBA. And kids gravitated toward that, like I'm saying, shoes, his clothes, how they wear his hair, Like, man, I see these kids now with their dress, with their dress backed up in a little funny tail. Job, man, listen, people they think they think they jib here, and because he say, the reason why they like Steph because you see Steph like damn Steph like a regular man, got six two, joall sixth two. I can't bet lebron man. I ain't fin to be no six nine. I ain't finn to be no shock. I ain't finna be no yo kicch. But I can beat Joash. I can really grow up to be six two. I could beat Steph Curry. So that's why a lot of time people gravitate towards the smaller guys because they see themselves.
I could be that.
That's what Jordan and Kobe, the smaller guys, they seem to resonate. Ain't nobody said, man, I want to be shocked. I want to be Jokic. I want to be Kareem. Why you think, don't nobody throw the sky hook? The most unstoppable shot that's ever been created. It ain't nobody basically threw it since he threw it.
Hey, Hey, and.
You got all these trainers out here taking these kids through drills on nobody to teach them how to shoot no sky hooks? Man over that that twin five step catch that Ye, yeah, there's what it is.
Yeah, young, Young, and Joe, I think I like it. I understand exactly where y'all coming from. But when you got players like Anthony Edwards, players like Jamaran, I mean, Steph is a little different, just the way he carries himself. If you look at the individual's background and the image that they try to portray, there's a reason why they're special. When they play the game of basketball. There's a certain way that they carry themselves. There's a certain group that they try to emulate, or a certain a certain certain cache and way that they carry themselves. And they want to keep that same, that same that or when they play the game of play the game of basketball. And all I was saying is there's some things you can eliminate that they do in game. I just don't want to take too much away from them that makes them who they are. There's a certain infact with the Anthony Dlass and the Jamaran that makes them who they are. And I think if you take too much and try to tone them down too much, it takes away from their game in general and what they bring.
I agree, And it's gonna kind of doull it down a little bit and make it less washingball. I mean, they say the game, they say the basketball game has been struggling, but you know our stars have been performing.
We just got to keep them on the floor.
Yeah, And you remember, think about it with who do the kids love the guy that the guy that had a big No, I don't. It's hard to say somebody had a bigger impact than Alan Iverson. Alan Iverson was the first one to start wearing the sleeve all well, not damn, but everybody were to sleep. You couldn't go to the store and buy a five x T shirt cause he end up all the ball.
He wanted to buy it.
He didn't wanted to buy the g and you couldn't find no forty jeans because he ain't.
A Yeah, he was the one that trade. They trained the dress code because of him. You ain't lying.
You ain't like them too, But well look, I remember when the League changed the dress code. Man looks we used to come to the plane and sweat, splip flops. Shy took all that away.
You had to come in that suit in his booty.
I was like, oh my god, hey guys, short up, Hey Joe, you remember that cameboard that couple with due rags.
They had the due rags with on the tall teeth.
I'm like, y'all, all these corporates, muscles, all this money we spent it, y'all fin to clean this kid ship?
Right, hey, sterring one going and he got everybody right.
Yeah, I saw Tim Dunky come pick his NBP trop here when when plimp flomps in short so hey, I remember those days, bro, I remember those days, those good times.
Man, it kind of went. He kind of got back to that now. No, yeah, you got all the guys are not coming they used to.
There was a time that you know, suit suit suit, but you know you see guys still coming with some sweat and man ad Man say, look here, I ain't wait, I ain't.
Spending no money on it. Hey, I get on this free gear. I'm aware, I'm aware.
When did he do it?
The game John called kill were a Pigeon?
On national television, Taylor Rooks asked John, tell everything about that last position possession. Jos say a pigeon was guarding me. Go get a bucket to win the game? Hey, job, Joall got it?
Chilled? Now kill whatever Mike got. He's from the crib, He's from little right. We act like that, like that, like that.
Hey, it was a great shot. Caller played great defense. It was a great shot. He made a tough shot. Man, give his credit out. I'm gonna tell you what I think happened in that game. Uh, the little guard was testing him and impressing him so much, the little Donovan kid, Yeah, and kind of turned.
Jo on to the point where he was trying to make a point.
And uh, he kind of turned on and kind of got it, got it, got it going, you know what I mean? Yes, Yeah, because he definitely got to go into the second half. He got to go on to the second half because he said they was bored him, they was boring me. He kind of got to ithuse cause I think he had like twenty seven points in the second half and obviously hit hit the game winner, so that was exciting. It was a video game night for Jonnas out the Takoumpo, the Greek Freak, dropped the career high assists. He became the first player in NBA history to have thirty five points, seventeen rebounds, twenty assists. The Bucks shot fifty two percent from the three point range. The Bucks are coming up and win against Tuesday, in which they shot sixty nine percent from the field, which was the highest of an NBA game since nineteen ninety eight, and the fifty eight and fifty almost fifty nine percent from the three point range. Is there anybody, honestly, Joe, is there anybody really? As well as Jannis has played, Cleveland has been the best team in the East record wise.
But is there anybody in the East that can challenge Boston?
No? No, But I'll tell you what described the season I had the Bucks making some noise.
Man.
I know it's been unfortunate, you know, with Dang going out, you know, with the calf injury, the blood cloth things, and uh man, we can't expect these type of numbers from Yannis every night, man, right?
Man?
He played out his mind to night, and them other guys around him stepped up. They had to step up and make plays. Man, I mean his sist he had twenty oh man, Yeah he did that, and you know it. In the postseason, they don't let you get up and down, and y'all is like, he likes to get up and down.
He sees a crack. Hey, Hey, y'all is like a roach.
He see a crack, he gonna slide through it and get away from you. So you can't squatch it every time. Hey, in the playoffs boxing nailbows, Baby, you're going to pass that thing.
Them boys don't make it.
If them boys don't make eight nine threes together, Okay, we're gonna live with that.
But you delivered to get to this rim and have a dunk fence all night that I'm.
Not going because you know, when somebody has twenty assists, there are a lot of shots being made, man, a lot of shots being made. Yeah, And I think everybody chipped in the night. They had a bunch of guys in the double who made quite a few threes. So obviously Jannis had it going. If he had thirty five points, twenty assists and how many rebounds. We probably had about eighteen.
Nineteen seventeen rebounds. Hey, oh Joe jumbles right there. Back.
Yeah, it is a matter of fact. I'm going to go back to something you just said it earlier, right real quick, and it just dawned on me. You said, out the East, there's no threat for the Celtics at all. Well, if there's no threat for the Celtics, basically you saying they're going back to the NBA finals. Basically yeah, okay, Well, if they're going back to then in the finals, who do you see them facing out the West? And it do you even have a threat out the West? Let alone forget the East?
Yeah? Yeah, they got a thread out in the West. Yeah, they got a threat that I like ok Se bro.
I like ok se uh, not only because they got shape, but because all the mother dudes around them.
They know they role and they defend. Man, they defend.
They sit down, they sit in there chair, play defense, O choe nig in the playoffs, that's what it's gonna come down to.
And what they the youngest team in the NBA. Yeah, they are twenty four years man. They finna Hey, they gonna be getting up and down all night.
Shay gonna average probably forty two minutes a game in the playoffs, right yet, forty eight minute ball game.
He probably barely gonna stayn They ain't gonna do nothing to Helm.
Unless unless unless they unless they blowing them out, and you know, you try to blow somebody, you know, try to get some rest like that. But other than that, Yeah, your best players play. The MVP race is coming down to the wild Sga is on play pace to win his first scoring title. Right now, he's at thirty two point nine points a game. The Thunder record sixty four and twelve. They have an outside chance to become the third team to win seventy games in the season. Okay season Okay needs to win out to join the ninety five ninety six Bulls in the twenty fifteen to sixteen Warriors as the only teams in NBA history to win seventy or more games in the regular season. Meanwhile, Nikola Loki Joki, they just call him yok attempt to be making history, becoming the third player to uh yeah, the third player to win four MVPs and a five year span, joining Lebron twenty eight to twenty twelve. He won for Bill Russell sixty one through sixty five. Unfortunately, Yoki is not gonna win the MVP, just like the first got to average triple double, Oscar Robinson didn't win the MVP in that sixty one to sixty two season. Yokin just averaging twenty nine points, seven points a game, twelve point eight rebounds a game, ten point two assist the game, and he's shooting fifty fifty four percent from the field and forty two percent from the three.
And unfortunately, Joe, he's not gonna win the MVP. Man, that dude is balling out of control. I'm gonna be honest with you. I love washing him play.
I love how he plays at his own pace and he make guys around him better. So he's a willing passer, which makes him harder the guard because you know, if you're double king, he's gonna give it right up and them dude's making shots around him.
But to be honest, my pick will be Shady too. I enjoy watching Shade.
I love his poison patience, you know, throughout the game, and like I say, defensively, he's always gonna be tops and steals. He sits down and play defense as well, so I love both players, man, but if.
I had a vote, mine will probably be shacked.
You know what's gonna happen. It's gonna be the same situation. Like we go back, Joed been a student of the game. You go back and look at that sixty one sixty two season. Bill Russell won the MVP. But that was the year that Will average fifty and twenty five. That was the first year Oscar had a thirty point triple double. Jared West average thirty l Jim Baylor was thirty and eighteen.
Cut it.
You go back and look at that was the grease statistically, that was the greatest offensive season, old record. Go back and look at those guys that look at the numbers, you're like, hold on and when you hear like Will average, But how much did he We'll average fifty and twenty five, no MVP point Trooper fifteen twenty five. Yes, and he didn't win the MVP. Bill Russell won the MVP that season, but Jared West was like thirty six and eight.
Who else?
Who's Elgin Baylor, elgend Baylor average walked Elgin Baylor average like twenty seven and eighteen. Walt Bellamy average, I mean the numbers were crazy. You're gonna look at the top fight, the top six guys at the MVP race, and probably any other year they win it.
But Russell won it that year. And I think we're gonna go back.
Fifty twenty five, thirty years from now, we're gonna look, they're gonna pull up the Kola Yoki's numbers and ain't gonna say, ain't nowhere here. If he didn't win the MVP, who did? Because that's the conversation we're having now. Like you said, hold on, we'll average fifty and twenty five and then win the MVP. No, Boston, Bill Russell, not Muther been putting belt the ass. Hey, yeah, they did what they work. They won eight straight titles. So yeah, they put they they told every they would tear everybody. Yeah, and then we'll say, y'all, y'all, y'all were playing with me? Did he came back in average forty four and twenty seven the next year? Just to let y'all doing what in the flute?
O Jo? Yeah, Joe was up. I remember we talked about this a couple of years.
Last year, O Joe is that Mello was feeling some type of way he said, because they gave the fifteen to Jokic. And I'm saying, and I said, Joe, bro they took this man in the second round and when he got drafted, they were doing a Taco bell commercial. They had no idea he was gonna turn out to be this because that they had that it took his ass in the first round. You don't run the risk of this was a transcendent player and taking him in the second round if you think you're gonna do anything. But unfortunately, they're not gonna remember Carl Melo war at fifteen. That number belongs to Nicola Jokic.
I mean it shouldn't listen as great as they slaying right now, hold on, I'm you're not eracing, but come alo date in that in that end of fifteen, that man.
Got three m vps in the finals MVP. I tell you what, Joe who won thirty four? Who won thirty four in Milwaukee before Yanni's Ray Allen? Do you remember Ray Allen at thirty four? Oh? John, I love exactly, okay, exactly, Hey, Hey, hey he was a bad boy with thirty four.
He was okay, yes, going on, yes, yes, but you look at what Jannis is doing right.
Yeah, yeah, hey, we That's what I would like about us. Sometimes sometimes we become a prisident president of the moment and we begin with with those before us. Actually, did you know? And I listen, I understand. I love what Joker is doing.
I love it.
But we talked about the other fifteen. We talked about that. We talk about mister mid range, continue, mister put the show, put the shoulder in your chest. I get all that, I get all that. I get all that.
In ten years, ain't nobody gonna remember that, just like you don't remember Reyality War thirty four in Milwaukee because of what y'allis is doing.
Do you realize what? Oh you?
I don't think you realized what this man is doing. Joe, you played eighteen nineteen years. You know, I studied the game. I've been following this game since seventy seven or seventy eight, and I know a lot of the history. What Yo Kich is doing. I'm sorry, O Joe. Yeah, y'all think that. Y'all think the big Man gonna ever come back? No, the big Man, Yeah, if he could shoot?
You know, you told me he got to be able to shoot.
The three you three. He gotta be like a yo kich.
You gotta you gotta be one of those big you talbot to big that just running are down to the block and play with his back to the basket.
Oh, call on call for the ball.
The game changed the game.
That's over, Joe.
Hey, But I'm saying, you know, once once in a while, you know, every camerom we get a guy who come in. He made you know, he built a little different from everybody else. I think, if you can dominate, you know, you know, be the signs of a seven footer who just unguardable down there, it'll come back.
But now they don't change for it no more. Like all those guys work on their post game for real.
They all doing picking pop shooting three's from different spots, so the game is totally different.
They don't even raise him like that no more.
Yeah, think about it. Look at Zach Edy, man, you saw Zach Edy trading. He's shooting three seven folk. Look at Wimby whimmen seven, four and a half, yes, five with shoot, then he ain't playing with us. Back to the basket. That's over, Joe, it's over. If you gotta got said five, he ain't playing with his back to the basket.
I like women, though I like women. He's a he's a he's a freaking nature bro like.
Don No, guys, look I was as a matter of fact, I got a car Melo signed jersey from him when he was a rookie. I know what Mello is, but I don't think you understand what your witness with Nicola Yokic. He's a three time league MVP and he did something that Melo didn't do, which is take this team to an NBA title and he was Finals MVP and it was no question. Let me ask you a question at any point in time and Melo's tenure in Denver, was he the best player in the league. You're looking at the undeniable best player in basketball, and he's been that for the last four to five years. What about he went, I'm not sorry to catch you all when he probably won't the best in the league.
But that was a handfull of guards.
Yes, we're not denying that. We're not denying that. But when you go when he in the league at Kobe, Okay, you got Braun. Was he ever better than Braun?
No, it wasn't.
Maybe, if you want to say, his rookie year shown and he was better, but after that, he's never been better than Broun.
And then you get Kdy. Now you got Steff, Now you got.
James Harden, who better than Yoki even though shake Gon win the MVP.
I'm not taking Shaye over you.
I'm not taking Giannis, I'm not taking Joel andbid I'm not taking nobody over one five in Denver currently right, and you're sticking to it.
Oh, I'm on that.
What that man gave you a sixty. That man gave you a triple sixty one point sixty boy triple double trouble dubo pressing. That was impressing.
And hold on, didn't he just give you?
He just gave you the other day a thirty thirty point a thirty twenty twenty game just about a month ago.
He just I mean, and like you said, Joe, I mean, you look at it, You're like, oh, you know what happened?
You look at this dude like, oh, I'm gonna give him bucket And next thing you know, you look up that he got here gonna drop forty fifteen eighteen on.
You ain't gonna been in the jump two three inches off the floor. He's gonna get to it. He's gonna get into it.
Hey, that man smart, he's sore brow to use his body, his eye, his eye, his i Q for the game.
Yeah, it's crazy when you watch him play.
Man, he just you don't know whether he's been to pass shoot, but whatever he does, he does at efficient level. Yeah, and think about this, ain't another All Star on his team. It's another It's not another All NBA player on his team, not Russ. But Russ is far removed from being that. He won a title with no All the NBA and no All Star. He doesn't have an All NBA defender on his team. He doesn't have a Defensive Player of the Year on his team.
He's doing that. Yeah, but he got he got some great pieces around him.
Now really with Gordon and Porter, uh you know and Murray, they all those dudes know, they rose and they all explode me.
You know, I know, you're gonna be consistent in his play, especially in the postseason.
But those guys can win you a playoff series for some playoff games.
You know what I mean.
Yes, look, I still say it's hard to say that there are two or three better combos than he and Murray when.
They get into that pick and roll and he picking and Poppet and Murray do it.
He dancing on you and side step you are hitting threes and he can get to the rim and he can finish above the rim. When they played it hard to beat, Yeah, they hard to beat. And now you got Michael Porter Junior, he's side step eight hitting threes. You got Gordon. He can hit threes and we know he can finish above the rim. Yeah, and I think I think with those two guys don't get a lot of credit for that. Gordon's defensively, you can't go with them dudes. Them dudes hold their own defensively. You know, they play kid, they play big and great moments for them. So when they run into the Lakers or the Sons, they got guys who can match up with KD and Lebron and and make the make it nice tough because because Gordon is sixth eight with a big body.
Yeah, so that's what he could do.
So because Lebron could damn the bully everybody but Gordon, Gordon might outweigh it and so it's hard for him to bully and play through it.
Yeah. So he's like, you know what, I'm gonna make it.
You're gonna have to you know, you know what if you beat me shooting three, even you beat me in the mid rage, I'm just not gonna let you pull.
I'm not gonna let you fade into the rim.
And then a lot of times they don't bring help because they know if you bring help, bron know where I helped coming from, and you're gonna be able to skip that ball to the open guy. But the thing is, you're gonna probably have two fifteens up in the rapt in Denver at that start.
What to do?
It comes over?
You think Denver gonna retire Mellow Jersey. But I heard the thing. Most people know him as a nick. Yeah, I think they know him as a nick. And then how he forced his way out of Denver.
There are a lot of people that probably there, I mean ownership, He forced his way out of there, and what he didn't realize in the process of going to New York and what he thought he was gonna have. You forced them to give up everything. So now you're there by youself. Get there by yourself because ane of the pieces they had to get up off of Galla.
They had to get up of all those pieces.
Yeah, they had to give up them pieces and he got them ari what year, probably his second third year?
The excuse me? Yeah, but uh, I think the Knickson definitely retires Jersey.
But yeah, Yoktn kind of took over that number fifteen in Denvil, Man, and uh, he's been impressive, bro. I know, I definitely see. I got a chance to play against him a few times, and I ain't you think he was gonna be when you played because you called him early? Do you think he was gonna be this?
Nah? He was good then, but he wasn't like this like he man, it's like every night he's just missed the consistency. So put up a trip or double.
You know, he's gonna have probably thirty forty points and it's just if the guys around him gonna pitch in and give it from help, whether they gonna win or not. I think that's the that's been the biggest, the biggest thing. Who's gonna be consistent for yoga? You know, especially when it comes to the postseason.
Hey, I don't know, it's something about It's something about Luca, It's something about Yokick. The way they play the game, it looks it's so slow, so methodical. You can't speed up their game. They play at their own pace, and they so efficient when they're shooting every single time.
Never to rush, neveringna rush, poisonation. Say, it's finist, man. I love watching them, and I.
Think the thing.
I think the thing is is that when you're not as athletic as those guys, you have to develop find ways to score. They're not jumping over everybody. They're not jumping over anybody. They're not gonna run around anybody. So what are the other ways that I can be able to score?
Well? Are the other ways that I can get to get to my spot? Right?
I can't let you speed me up because now I'm getting outside of my body because that's not the way I'm built. So I think for those two guys's they both can shoot the three, and they can shoot at the fishing and fishing levels, So you have to get out there. So once they get a step on you and get by you, they in between games with them a little floaters got and and and and Luca got.
That's where it comes into play.
Being able to see the corners after peripheral of your vision and making guys around you better.
That's why they so hard to guard. Man, they are super unselfish.
But at the same time, once they find a little presently and and and in your defense and they get into the TVR defense, they cause all kind of havoc with those little touch floaters and things of that sort.
That's that's why they are a tough matchup. And they know how to draw files. Yeah there we go.
Yeah you bay you and the foulests. Once Luca get a step on you, he's gonna stop. Related to the back of them and let you.
They both of them use their body real well.
Hey hey, it's like you know, Joe, somebody won't let you, won't let you get over. I speed up getting the break.
That's exactly.

You ran in the back of him going two miles an hour. I did two hundred dollars worth of damage. I broke the I brought the light of the plate on the back of his car. Hey. He was fine until the guy told him my name, what nothing wrong? He's like, hey, the moment he hurt, shann a shark, the jo grabbed the day.
We just say he fell out and he fell out in the middle of the road, right there, side of the road.
Man.
The man man with that neck breaks on for two weeks. Yes, in case it everybody washing u And then and then he tried to sue me and then talk about what our settle for our seller for two thousand dollars, and some member business side said.

God, damn you. You left Magical, You left Magic at the point, and you left Tim Dunky.
Hey. I love all of them, but I can only go for five. Five. I ain't got the five. That's not five. That's give it. I actually left for them. Left Jordan. I'm a huge Kobe. I had to go with him, Jenny. I went with him Jant to talk to me, O five?

I don't think Kareem can do nothing with ship? What shot gonna do with Kareem, who will stop that sky hook? Okay, so both of them got forty. You know, ain't nobody to blocking that Skoyt hook. You ain't see nobody block that Skoyt who. I ain't saying, I ain't see no black block this got hood. But you know, like I seen Kareem play, I just you know, obviously I wasn't I wasn't really watching. I wasn't around at that time. I didn't shacked man. I played against Shack. I'm talking about it.
His hate pigs.
Yeah, I'm talk gonna bound man. He was no stopping that dude. No, I don't care what he did. You were sapping that. Yeah, Hey, my team gonna blow the doors off. You don't know, I ain't gonna.

Hey, Now, if you say well I already got Lebron, I'm gonna take Bird. So I got if you tell me so, if I take it the all time. You said, Okay, who you all the type of storry five, I'm gonna say Magic, Jordan's Broad at the three, Dunking at the four, and Kareem at the five. You took Penny at the one, Jordan at the two, Broad at the three, ticket at the four, Shock at the five. Man, We it's gonna be a good game now, y'all gonna lose. Hey, hey, hey, Chad, we're gonna put it up Hey, hey, hey, put it up there.

I feel like I think, I honestly think him and Penny gonna kind of cansel each other out. I just don't think. And I know you're gonna say Magic a guy with five rings and Penny ain't got nothing. But I'm talking about Penny at this a pitch he was he was probably he was all those better than Jordan's, like he was.
Selling more, he was selling more product than him. J at one point that with.
That little pitty Dolly, Hey, Joe, when the phone when them phone positives came out like that Galaxy Blue of Royal Blue getting them phone positive.
Man, Hey, hey, look, hey, look him and MJ is still making big money off yeah boy absolutely, oh yeah, they didn't change the game absolutely all right, Joe, you want to talk about Joe has a yoga studio. Uh what's the studio called? Ihold yoga. Uh, We've been open for a lover year now. I got into hot yoga, huh being bickerm Style twenty six and two.
I got into it in two thousand and nine.
I deal with a lot of injuries, tend to nineties, things of that sort, and I was just looking for a way to heal myself. Getting in that hot room, letting their heat penetrate your muscles, joints, tingons, things of that sort.
It was beneficial for me. Uh, And I'm just trying to right now.
I try to uh get a lot of the young guys in them get it started early fourteen, fifteen years old, a lot of young athletes because they'll improve performance, decreased injuries which is huge, and enhanced cardiovascular things of that sort.
And I just try to help these dudes man along the way, so you.
Know, you can find different ways to kind of challenge yourself and be a better athlete, you know what I mean?
Are you? Are you on ig? Are you all?
So?
How did they find you? Yeah? We on Instagram? IISO yoga. You gonna look us up.
Were right in midtown of Atlanta, right across from Ansley's Mall.
I'm in that pretty much. I'm in that pretty much every day.
And man, we have a great, great community who comes out and it shows us so much love and support. And it's been amazing because this has been a challenge for me. I played I've been playing basketball since I was man what fourteen fifteen years old, and now finally, you know, is a slow down for me.
And now I got a chance to kind of have a job to to some degree.
You know, I'm going kind of you know, as we have different people who come into see or to take class. Where there's pilates, where there's yoga, because we got plates as well, we got cryo therapy, we got red light therapy. So people coming up with different Yeah, people coming there for different reasons. And I implemented, all listen to yoga because this is what I used on a day to day basis when I was playing professional basketball. I like them yoga, I like Joe. It was just so hard because I'm a sweater. It was just so hard for it's so it's so hard for me to stay hydrated. So I was just like, thirty minutes in the class, I'm locked up because going through a gall I done going through a gallon of water joke. And but the mask is this, And also do you find that you're still able to get into it, because I know when you warmed up, you're really warm, you can really get those getting to those poses. Do you find that that you're still able to get your muscles or still and you're still able to be able to be as flexible when the temperature.
Is out as hot? Nah, That's that's my thing.
So I tried regular yover see when I was in college, coach Nolan Richson up in Favorite Artists, I'm playing for the Razor Backs. He used to have he used to have this lady come by and there she would do yoga with us on the court. But it was cob. You know, I couldn't really, I wasn't never flexible, dude, So I couldn't really get into it like that. So when I became a professional athlete, it was wrong to me. Yeah, I can't do the just room tempertu. I gotta be in the heat, man, I need. I'm a heat junkie. I gotta be in the heat because my muscles and joints opens up and I just feel so much better.
Man, I like that is funny, you know, Joe, I played for you know, eleven twelve years, but I ain't never had no injuries. I never got hurt, so I never did anything you know, like yoga and plates and honestly, I can't sit still that long unless it has anything, unless it has to do with gaming, you know, playing Fief, for playing Call of Duty, playing Bad and playing two K. I can't sit to that long. Then you've added the element of it being hot in there, you know. So now me who, Now I'm fifty seven, I've never done nothing like that, but now I'm interested in trying it.
You know, you gotta chilli, You got you gotta chill. You gotta chierrial, I'm serious, you gotta chill. Listen, you be having a lot going through your head. Nah, No, you know you just can't be still. You just can't be in a hot room and be still and be calm.
And I can't. I can't, I can't, But I'm coming to it now.
I mean, you need to be able to take a lives on the move and we in the yoga he stationed there too long.
It is by.
The mind.
The body benefits through movement, but the mind benefits through stillness.
So you have to you have to practice it, man, You have to practice.
Stillness when you because see, when you've been in high room, you're gonna be under a lot of You're gonna be under some stress. But the thing is everybody's under stress. We all just handle it a little different, yes, sir. And that's the thing that's that's the part of yoga mentally, that that takes you to a place probably never been bro like it.
It increases the focus and concentration.
H I think when it comes to athletics especially, but yeah, it helps it tremendously.
I tried it all, Joe. I'm done.
I've done a stronger, I've done pilates with the mega reformers. I've done it all. I tried everything. That's one thing. That's why when I when I walked away from the game. I ain't look back because I know I invested all the from yoga to a beakerm to a stronger uh, to pilates, to the way I trained, to the way I ate. I ain't got nothing else to give. Kept you right, kept be strong.
It did it did.
I was flexible. I still had to have both. He'll replaced Joe. But hey, you know what I about check it out. I about stray through there. Man, y'all come down here, come, come, come highlight.
I got you. I'm gonna take care of y'all. Man, gonna get y'all.
Right.
Hey, look o joeb a baby. I want to still be able to move around.
Oh hey, Joe, listen, what let me tell you something.
You see.
I take one ease right here, I take one of these farms. I can move now, Hey, I.
Can move, Joe. Joe. Hey, oh Joe, I don't need to do up in this right here. That's all I need to move. And I need to do another stuff you talking about, Joe. I need to do all that. You doing it too much? Now, Hey, Joe, man, we appreciate you joining the bad. Come back and join us again soon. Man.
Ready, Hey, hey, I appreciate job man, what love? Make appreciate that? By the way, Joe, your team won. Whose team is better?
You beat me? Sixty sixty six to sixty thirty four? Come on, I told you, hey, I know a little bit. I know a little bit. I know bit man. All right, your joke, Okay, that was that was that was good? Oh Jure, that was great man.
But I see it from time to time around here when I come back to Atlanta, I do, I do see him from time to time. But I'm gonna check his place out there next time I come to Atlanta. I'm gonna say some time aside, I'm gonna go down there, check hibut and see what he got going on the volume.
Mm hmm.
