Good Morning Football.

Welcome to Good Morning Football, presented by old trapper Beef Jerky. We are live in Los Angeles. I'm Sarah walshtillan from my good friend Jamie Ertall, who is flying to London alongside m Rob and Ian Rappaport and Kyle Brandt joining us from New York. Kyle has been busy voting for his own album to win the poll that we got going. I've learned that m Rob thinks Scrubs was a little harsh.

It was all right, We're going.

To continue to let you go to that. But it is time now, guys for the lead block.

Lead block, lead block.

Let's get it out to our co host. He's not just an NFL insider today. Ian Rappaport standing by with von Miller. What are the details on the Bill's pass Rusher von.

Miller official he suspended by the NFL yesterday for four games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. This goes back to an alleged incident a last fall. Von Miller was accused of assaulting a pregnant woman, someone who has been in a relationship with for a long time, which is a third degree felony. Von Miller turned himself into police in November and has told reporters that he is innocent, and he has also told reporters that, to his knowledge, the case was resolved legally. Meanwhile, the NFL continued to investigate him. Yesterday came back with his verdict. So von Miller now officially suspended four games for this incident. That mean and this is the appeal is done. This is official. He has suspended four games. The Bills going to be without their standout pass rusher, who has looked much better this season than certainly did at the end of last season. So he now misses games against Texans, Jets, Titans, and Seahawks back after that.

For Buffals, okay, and thank you just mentioned it, they're going to be without him on Sunday, They're traveling to Houston to take on CJ. Stroud and company. So looking ahead and we look at this matchup, what do you have your eye on for this one?

Em I I'm just looking at first of all, I'm looking at this this Buffalo offense. Can it respond? You look at what happened last week against the Baltimore Ravens. First of all, defensively they let Derrick Henry do their thing, but offensively they never looked in sync.

Right, continue to lean on this run game.

Continue to lean on James Cook, the guys averaging.

Over four and a half yards per carry. Right, and when you're.

Leaning on the run game, do it out of twelve personnel. Twelve personnel, one running back, two tight ends, two wide receivers Dalton King, k Dawson Knox, those guys, the two your two tight ends should be on the field every single play against this Houston Texans team. That way, every single time Josh Allen drops back, they have to worry about the run game. Right, And that way, your play action pass comes up, and then you can see Josh Allen in the center a little bit more. This year, you can see your play action pass explosives start to come to fruition.

That's what has to happen.

With this offense. I'm glad of this version of Josh Allen I'm seeing this year.

I've said it on this show before. I like long haired Josh Allen. He seems a little bit more. But Lax hadn't thrown any interceptions this season. I hope I didn't just jink them for that. But I think he's done a great job taking care of the football. But continue to run this football and that way the explosive play action pass plays can come up. If they do that, I think they win this game easily.

Yeah, I'm going to go to similar topic, but switch teams. Houston Texans have been good this year.

Three and one.

Don't quite look like themselves offensively, right And if you start to look at why, you know, is it c J.

Stroud?

Is he having a little bit of I don't think so. I think it's more this is a team predicated on running the heck out of the football.

I know CJ.

Stroud is as I know he's awesome, but so much of what they do offensively is about can they run the football effectively. They have not had Joe for the last couple of games. He has been battling an ankle injury. Came back to practice last week at the end of the week believe it was on Friday. It was questionable for the game. I don't think had a really good chance to play. But atlistus questionable progress. They should get him back this week. That to me means a couple of things. One, he is really good and he looks like he's it. To me, he looks like a twenty five year old. That's how fast I think he has looked as we end up getting.

Injured knocked him out for it.

But he looks good, and to me, this is the thing that is going to help make this offense. But they can run block extremely effectively. Put Joe Mixon back on this Texan seam should look offensively like their old self.

I would look at it really for this too.

I mean, if you look at the Bills defense, what just happened to them at the hands of Derek Henry. Joe Mixon is not Derek Henry. Nobody's Dereck Henry. But Joe Mixon is completely unafraid, extremely physical. If I was looking at that Texans offense at the first three plays would be runs right up the middle because that Milano's still not there, Bernard's not there, Tarreon.

Johnson is not there.

I would immediately test the toughness of the Bills run defense after what I saw, and they have a guy in mixing to do it. But listen, I think it's really interesting this year, this week psychologically to look at Josh Allen. Like Mike pointed out, Josh Allen and the Bills have not lost games like that that they lost last week.

They were absolutely slaughtered from start to finish.

And even when they do lose games, they had an historic streak of never losing by more than six points in the regular season.

They're always in tight games, not like that.

I also find it interesting that he has this streak of no interceptions going. He's really playing clean football. And now we return to Houston, where there was an infamous game between the Bills and the Texans in twenty nineteen. This is the Bills entering the playoffs. This is Alan when he earned the nickname Sugar High. Josh Allen, do you remember watching this game? Oh man, this is John Smokey Brown, Who's gonna run the throwback pass to Al. I've ever look at his excitement. Bah all right, he gets up, Sam's the ball, spins it, and I was gonna do this celebration so dope that I mean, it was incredible. He had this wild, wild, childlike energy for the whole game. This is a game when Why was still there and Watson was still there, and that energy came to really undo him, in which there was a ton of plays like that and taking huge sacks.

And at this point you can look back.

As the Bills fan and laugh on it because he's became a superstar and they've won the playoff game since then, Sugar Hi, Josh Allen was like a werewolf for something.

He had changed completely and was so excited.

I'm looking forward to the new Several years later, MVP candidate Josh Allen showing up with no interceptions to the same field against the same team.

I'll be at a different roster. Does he keep this thing going?

Is this the game he makes a bunch of mistakes and we say, same old Josh?

Or is he like the hell with that same old Josh.

I'm going to move the ball around new I'm not going to do that anything resembling what I did in twenty nineteen. But really it was an excuse to run that video, which is highly entertaining.

I know it's not great for Bills fans. What's really funny video?

How did it go?

That's the Smoky Brown?

You do it Mooth Brown when he was a Cardinals scorer and go like like.

That, and so God did it because the pass was from him.

Yes, I remember that might yeah, arms man, But to your point comes that is the reason why they have to run the football. You can't force Josh Allen into think and he has to be the superman the entire game and.

Do all of these things or whatever.

As you can see when he pitched that ball back in that highlight or that low light for the Bills Mafia that you were showing, that game was within three and he pitched it back while they were driving in to go into the scoring zone. So again, if they can have some type of a game plan where it's run oriented and run focused, that way, you can focus on that and then Josh Allen can be special Josh.

At the end of the game, I'll go back.

To something that Ian said. We talked about the Texans and being convincing, So what are you looking for in this game? I'll go Texan side of things. For the Texans to prove they're not just the best in their division they are right now? Are they among the best in the AFC? And obviously this is a Bills team that's a little bit down right now. But you look at that schedule and Ian sort of references they got three wins. None of those three wins are against teams right now that have a winning record. Not their fault, that's on who's on the schedule. They played one really good team that was the Minnesota Vikings, and there's a huge discrepancy between that game and then the other three games. That was a blowout loss thirty four to seven to the Minnesota Vikings. So here's their chance, a really good team is coming to town to say, hey, we're not just the class of this division, which they clearly are. This can be a signature win early in the season for them because they haven't had these convincing and even the wins that they have had against those other teams, they weren't, you know, these dominant, convincing wins. And I think they can do that and they certainly have an opportunity this weekend. Ian big names coming off the pup list, which we'd love to hear heading into Week five. Let's start with the latest on Odell Beckham junior status.

Yeah, pretty significant development for the Miami Dolphins. And because it is Week five, the players who started the year on in reserve on pup on NFI, they are allowed to come back to practice this week. Opening the practice window is what we say. And there's been several big time, big name players you we're going to see a practice. Odell Beckham Junior is one of them. Was a huge signing for the Miami Dolphins this offseason. There was a lot of fan for as there always is with Odell, and then kind of nothing because he was not able to play during training camp. We didn't see him obviously during the off season, was not on the field of the first four games he recovered from.

Off season surgery.

Now back at practice this week, his timetable is still TBD. I would expect him to ease him in, but a team that could use a little offensive juice, they get some. Here's another one, Clyde Edwards Hilaire for the Kansas City Chiefs, the former first round pick who you know has been sort of off again on again for the chief Member. He was benched, not benched, but taking out as a starter for Isaiah Pacheck. I'm kind of leading to his emergence. Well, now they need him, so he is back at practice after being on NFI. Wouldn't be surprised to be his active pretty quickly. And I'm not saying fantasy is what we do here, but would probably not be her end the same to pick up at fantasy.

We got Gareem Hunt, we got p Ryan, we.

Got all the yell It's gonna be a battle.

You're gonna have to choose.

Wise, here's another big one, Kyle, Nick Chubb, let's go. And this has to be one of the feel good stories of the NFL this year. Nick Chubb went out with the knee injury last year, Multi League of an injury ACL medio collateral injuries so horrific that on TV they stopped showing it that never happens. They stopped showing it. And I think so many people at the time said, is his career over? I do not believe Nick Chubb's career is over. He is back at practice this week. They're gonna ramp them up. I expect more of a mid season emerges for him. But the fact that one of the most well liked and well respected players in the locker room is back in the field this week is a huge win for the.

Browns, a huge emotional boost for the Browns. We know what he means to them. Coming up, The GMFB crew plays quarterback draw with a twist. We welcome in the randomizer.

What is that?

Oh?

It's fun Kyler, This is like our great science experiment.

Wait, do you see this thing? Mike and Ian?

If you've never played with the randomizer, it's awesome, LUs scary.

What's your beef? Can we please, for the love of God, talk fullbacks? You not just use check?

We love use check.

He's in the PROBA every year, Mike, Rob's got some other guys who deserve love.

If you love football, you love fullbacks. That's coming up. Good mon football.

Welcome back to the show. It is time for us to play a little game called quarterback Drop. We've got sixteen quarterbacks in the system. What's your turn. We're gonna flash to the quarterbacks until you say stop, and I'm going to ask you to answer a question as it relates to the guy.

Kyle.

Your first, it's the randomize. The randomizer like it gives me anxiety. You know, you don't know what you're gonna get, You don't know what's gonna happen. Okay, So I'm gonna give you the question first, because it's funnier that way. Kyle, your question is this what clothing store? Do you think this quarterback shop that put up the quarterbacks. I'll you say stop, all.

Right, spin it and I'll say stop.

If you guys might need to help me out on this one, dependent who it lands on. Oh man, you know what, I Mike, you can laugh all you want, you know exactly what?

Stop? What do we got? Oh? Gino? Gino?

Where's Gino shopping at? I figured you'd want Kirk Cousins and where he was shopping at, cause that's kind of like that one covered.

All right, So let me think about this.

Gino college in West Virginia, long time in New York, then long time in southern California.

Also, he's now at Seattle.

I don't know.

I'm going to the mall. I'm picking up Pacific somewhere. Vibes.

Oh call.

He has a long time guy in San Diego and now up in the Pacific Northwest. Mike, you can tell me they dressed pretty casual up there. I think Gino is not too worried about fashion either. I just think he's a guy who likes to play football and be a teammate.

Casual, affordable. Let's go to pac Sun in the mall. That's the best I can do.

Guys, I would have gave I would have gave him Hohan or something like that.

Cohans. Okay, Holdan is nice. I like that's nice. All right, good job, classy.

All right, here's your here's your question, Michael, finish the sentence. This quarterback's strongest trait is blank. Oh you got to get the quarterback.

I gotta get a quarterback first.

This is all on you.

You okay, stop on, Josh Sallen right now, Oh, you gotta come on now.

I like Kyler Murray, I do, I do. This is easy. His strongest trait is his ability to break down film.

No, I'm just messing his ability to make plays with his legs when I love the fact that he's one of the movers in this game. He'll break you down, one of the quickest people in the National Football League. And he can beat you with his arm as well. So yeah, he can make plays with his legs.

That's a superpower. I like it, all right.

One word, Kyler shot for his clothes and don't say kids are used or something.

Don't know that, No, no, no, Kyler, yeah yeah, yeah, Kyler probably don't go to the stoke.

He's like a tailor.

Alright, let's go nothing in the mall all right, sorry you and I know you're reading. One word to describe.

The host relaxed. Bro. Let's Sarah John.

I know you're not on TV much, bro, but you're gonna have to chill dog, all right, come on, man.

One word to describe this quarterbacks personality Ian tell him to stop.

Oh boy, stop, That's what I wanted, man.

Josh Allen's a good one, all right. One word to describe Josh Allen's personality. I would say this is tough.

Come on, let's go.

One word to describe Josh Allen's personality. I'm hoping something will randomly pop into my head.

About random, I would say, goofy. Yeah, pretty goofy.

Not even in a bad way.

He's just so disappointed with answer. He's happy. I'm so interesting. We are what we are.

You try for the you reach for the stars, and sometimes you don't get the stars. Sometimes you get what's like right here or maybe a little lower. Such is my life. Nice Josh Allen, a little goofy, very likable, very fun, a little random, never quite know what you're gonna get. It's kind of like the way he plays football.

Goofy for Josh Allen the Wazooka. That's what he is.

Round one complete, Kyle, We're back on you. I'm starting round two.

Let's go.

Oh, this is a Kyle question. What actor would play this quarterback in a movie?

I already know.

I mean it's it's gonna be Glenn Powell, right, he plays everybody?

All right, stop, Glen Powell works.

I knew it was Glenn Powell. He could play every single.

Person out there, doesn't matter who you are, where you're from. Glen Powell's in every single movie, like Kevin Hart is in every single commercial having a.

Moment, and he does look like Glenn Powell. That's it, Glenn, go get it easy. Next question, Okay, next question. I'm Rob. That was y.

What do you think this quarterback would bring to a hot luck dinner?

That's a good question. I'm so scared to stop this.

Stop.

Oh, don't he go to like McDonald's.

Wouldn't he bring like McDonald's or something like that? Is that when he eats anything? I think I heard something like that. I think Lamar Jackson. Yeah, I think he'd be McDonald's. Maybe Chip file a or something like that. They're not open on Sundays.

He's going to bring some McNuggets to the podcast. I got a shamrock shake everybody. I'm Lamar Jackson.

Deck shakes are incredible. What would it be like to vacation with this quarterback or with I? Does that matter?

Ian? What do you got? Who do you got? Question?

I can hang with a lot of these guys. Actually stop, Oh you kidding me? You want a vacation with Patrick Mahomes?

This is easy for me.

I'm not talking like family vacation, no offense. Brittany, You're cool, but that's not we're talking here. We're talking boys trip, We're talking golf. Okay, We're going out to like Bandon Dunes or something like that.

We're gonna get some.

Beers, We're gonna get some swing juice. We're gonna get my phg. We're just gonna go. We're just gonna go play, right, And I would say thirty six, then thirty six, and then maybe twenty seven on the second day and the third day and then fly out. That's what kind of vacation me and Mahomes are having.

It's pretty good. Go for it.

There's some nice clink fund. All right, Kyle, here we go find a round. What could this quarterback's Halloween costume be?

Or what should it be? Here we go, all.

Right, let's spen a'd be careful referring to a guys trip as a vacation.

I know, oh very well, all right, Halloween costume for stop. Oh well, this is perfect for him. He loves this stuff.

He grew out his hair specifically just so he could be John Wick one year. He loves the costumes. Let me think you know what it would be. It would be Killian Murphy from Peaky Blinders. Like that would be the one that Tommy shoved because he's going to London right now.

He respects him.

He's op Rogers also has that kind of genius Oppenheimer type deal. I think it's it's a Peaky Blinders with the hat and the razor blade in the cool coat.

And also he loves whiskey. So there we go. That's simple.

Go over to the Spirit Halloween and the Shutdown Tires place and get the Peaky Blinders in a bad costume.

That's easy.

Spirit Halloween on every corner right now. If you were stranded on a deserted island, Emrod, why would this guy be the best to have by your side.

Oh Man, Spinette, stumpitch, Joe.

Deserted island.

Why would I want Joe Burrow on a deserted island.

I'm trying to figure out a home alone.

Reference to mcaulay cult to figure something out.

And he's a smart dude. He's a great processor. Okay, He's going to process some.

Things and figure out how to communicate with maybe some planes or something flying over gud.

I don't know. I'm drowning here, guys, I don't know.

Maybe find a way to get you off the island. Maybe you come up with some castaway type stuff he could.

Or yeah, maybe I don't do the raft.

Maybe build a raft, talk to a bag or something.

I don't know. You know, we'll see.

But yeah, he's got your back, Mike, like he's got he's got Jamar's back, He's got all those guys like you.

He will let himself die first before you. He'll let you have the last coconut or whatever it is. I think he's not right. At the end of the day, we're both gonda, so I mean he last one. Here we go.

What do you think this quarterback's favorite breakfast food is Ian?

Pick yourself specific we go. It's a good tract issue. Give us a dack. All right, let's go.

Dak Prescott obviously Louisiana Bourne went to school in Mississippi, but now a Dallas native through and through. I would say, if me and Dak go out to a bunch of brunches, really quite a scene in Dallas. It's like multiple mimosas and bloodies dress up. It's like a whole thing Lavos arencheros. I would say, that's perfect breakfast food.

Me and Dax Cloth have it.

It's great choice.

Excellent, Sarah. I got to jump in here before we end. We do this every single year. We use the randomizer to predict who's going to be the Super Bowl champion, and it is right every single year.

I'm telling you, so, spin it right now, spin it.

I'm going to decide who wins the super Bowl right here in the segment.

Spin the randomizer.

I'm going to go waiting, and the Super Bowl champion in New Orleans, Louisiana will be stop Josh Allen.

Oh there you go.

From zero to three to a super Bowl dramatic way.

Congratulations, I go today.

Wow, did not see that coming.

That's awesome, congratulate Brown Company.

That was from the desert the super Bowl. Yes, in the Super Bowl.

Their faces start to melt together after a while.

When you just sit, what's some beautiful people?

It's time for something special to me.

The NFL Way to Play Awards fueled by Gator Ray, these recognized players who lead by example and impact the game by demonstrating proper technique on the field. And this week's NFL Way to Play Award winner is none other than Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

First of all, I love his approach.

Here watch him run an indefensible route. When you give a receiver like Justin Jefferson this much space, he will eat you up.

Every single time.

First of all, look at the speed at which he runs this route. He makes the defender think he's gonna run this sting deep and then he breaks it off right at the last minute, right, and check this out. Has the coordination, the concentration to go pinky to pinky, right, pinky to pinky, catch the football and then tap his toes on the back end of that. And then of course Sam Donald puts the ball where only his guy can get it, high and outside with great timing. Now, let's check out the Flag Way to Play winner and partnership with rc OUR Way to Play Flag Award winner is Aiden Stokes from Rossfield, Ohio. Let's take a look at this play. First of ball is great play design. You see Aiden lineup in the backfield. But I want you got oh look at that catch right there, one hand, full extension, full excitement.

There's Aiden right there.

You see the underneath coverage.

Right there right That underneath eaton receiver right there creates a high low on the defense and allows Ayden to go up and get the football. Now the way to play point right here is the catch. Look at the late hands, look at the extension, catching the football at its highest point. Congrat to Aiden. That is the way to play. Now we're going to tune it on over the Friday Night Lights and partnership with Huddle. The High School Way to Play The Way to Play award winner is Camaron Miller out of Haywood High School in Brownsville, Tennessee. Check out the approach. It is outstanding. Here he's in the slot, he runs the quick out the cob, he comes back to the football to be you up to be friendly for the quarterback puts on great move. Two crossovers leaves three defenders in the dust.

But when we go back, come on, all back right here. I want you to check this.

Check this out, guys, watch this out boom.

Look at that move right there. That's a crossover.

Almost like Alan Iverson and basketball. He is constantly creating two way goals on every defender. And of course, the ultimate way to play is the touch down.

Great job, Camerion.

And for each of these terrific way to play examples, the NFL Foundation will award thousands of dollars of equipment grants through USA Football the benefit youth and high school programs will announce another group of winners next week.

Shrey, all right, well, thanks and mob. Those are incredible plays. And it looks like we might not see one of the star players for the Raiders. There's a chance wide receiver DeVante Adams could be pulling in Nicholas Cage and be leaving Las Vegas in the least if it's up to him. NFL Network insiders Idan Rapaport and Mike Grifollow, both reporting Adams informed the Raiders he prefers to be traded. The news coming after Raiders head coach Antonia Pears appear to like a social media posts suggesting Adams could be traded, but Ian and Mike adding there's no imminent deal, but definitely something we're going to be keeping our eyes on now. The Jets offense has yet to click, as they're twenty second in the NFL in total yards per game this season. Star wide receiver gear Wilson hasn't put up more than sixty yards receiving in a game, and he says see thinks there's more of the offense could be doing.

You know, when I watched football on Sunday, let's see a lot of teams run, mix it up and stuff like that. I don't feel like we do that. So I think we know our identity is just about going out and executing it or figuring out whether or not it's going to work. But you know, I just I truly think that we are not trying. I don't think we're trying a lot of different things. I know personally, I have a you know, my hasn't been what it has been on in the last two years as far as the stuff I've been running and stuff. So yeah, it's just about figuring out whether it's the right identity and if it's going to win games this year, you know, if it's going to do what we needed to do, give the defense to run support. They need to be the best defense in the league.

Well, for years, Vikings ride receiver Justin Jefferson made an impact on the field as we saw on the win, but last summer Jefferson making an impact off the field by making a donation to his friend and Brazilian soccer star Vinnikiss Junior. Recently, the Institute Dovino Junior, a refurbished classroom located at the US municipal school like close to Rio de Janeiro, was unveiled to students. You're seeing the video here. The students were given new electronic equipment like smartphones, smart TVs, and tablets. The donation will impact approximately three hundred students from first to fifth grade at that elementary school. So go to OURK Jefferson, Justin Jefferson and more on the Vikings As full back CJ. Ham is one of the millions of Americans impacted by cancer. After his mother, Tina lost her brave fight four years ago. Well today, the hand family supporting other women going through their own journeys and encouraging fans to make a crucial catch through regular screenings.

As believers, our faith is we want to love the way that Jesus loves, and I would say that my mom truly exemplified that, and she was the closest thing on this planet that I had to excuse me to Jesus' love. My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She fought it for fourteen months, a lot longer than anybody anticipated, and she lost her battle to a pancreatic cancer.

A little over four years ago. My mom was the rock of our family.

I would describe her as like loving and very free spirit and just an infectious personality.

She's very strong willed, independent, She spoke her truth and just was just happy and loving and just compassion with others. And she just had this fright energy, like me walk in the room. She just knew how to just get everyone going.

And Sina's legacy is really one of compassion and kindness, and you can see that in CJ in Marquita, her two kiddost That's something that I just want my kids to be really in tune with and just to have a compassionate heart. I feel like there's very few times in my life where I can't remember exactly where I am right like those nine to eleven moments, and her diagnosis was one of them for sure.

She was having some stomach pain and she went into the hospital and that's where they found what they thought was staged pancreatic cancer. As she was in surgery, we were all sitting out there and doctor came out and told us that, hey, we thought it was stage two, but we actually happened to find more, you know, in her liver, so which makes you stage for cancer. And that's a whole other battle. When you get news like that, you don't really know, you know what to expect.

It stabs you in the heart.

You know, a lot of the things that you think would comfort you don't comfort you.

So our faith was something that we leaned on.

I think my mom really didn't express so much because she wanted to be strong for the family and she wanted us not to be sad or so we kind of just you know, lived in the moment. You can take every day as it is and make those memories and just be there for each other the best that we could.

And she had a great fight.

You know, we had some of the greatest times of our lives in those fourteen months. The gift my wife got me pretty quickly after my mom had passed one of the greatest gifts I've ever received. And you know, the fact that I get to wear this, you know, out in public, show everybody that same exact smile that I love. Everybody gets to see. It's one of my most precious gifts.

Her compassionate heart and her love for other people is one thing that she'll definitely leave behind with me. The paper Her Purple Event is one of my favorite events that we do. It is a day where we just get to hang out with a handful of women who are either cancer survivors or actively in their battle with cancer.

They get to come here and you know, see our facility, stay in our really nice hotel, and have a spot at where they're just taken care of from head to toe.

I know that she would be happy to join in the Pamper Her Purple event. That was especially her things. She loved to be pampered, and I wish she was here to do it with us.

Everyone should get record screenings as much as possible, being able to detect it early gives you a better chance to live and to beat it and to have a healthy life. You don't really understand how short life is until you've experienced something like this. So you lose someone close to you, you know way before you thought it was their time. Always make sure we stick together and we love each other, and just don't take anything from granted. Good money.

What's up, beautiful people, It's time for what's your beef? Hey, Sarah, I got a beef?

What big beef beef?

Well, first of all, I played quarterback in college. But when I got to the National Football League, they weren't quite ready for moving quarterbacks like me, so I had to change positions and I had to move the running back, which eventually moved me to full back. And I got some beef. Fullbacks aren't utilized enough. And of course I got some tape to show you guys exactly what I'm talking about.

Come on over, let me show y'all something real quick. Let me show y'all something.

First of all, fullbacks are like the eyes in the backfield for the runner. As you can see Patrick mccarr right here, one of the best damn fullbacks in all of the National Football League.

You see it right here. Letk go ahead and let this play start to play.

Wherever he goes oftentimes the ball goes right and that becomes the tendency for teams who use fullbacks.

But I'll show you, guys a little bit.

Later how that helps.

Look at the crackback block right there, creating leverage. Oh my buffalo bills opening up that lane.

You see where this thing hits. Deack Henry would still be.

Running if it wasn't for a touchdown goal line on the other end.

And again you see him right here in the eye.

Watch out how he chases the outside shoulder.

This is when you get in this lane.

This is the sidewalk right here, guys, But he's chasing this outside shoulder of the defender right.

Show that Derek can we can use him.

And as you can see right there, he blocks two. He only get paid to block one, but he blocked two right there. As you can see, look at design runs without Patrick McCart and Design runs with Patrick McCart. Let me tell you something, dude, makes a difference, makes a big difference.

Now on top of.

You know, opening up running lanes for running backs right oftentimes they'll slip right behind the linebackers and get explosives plays because you develop tendencies when you have full backs in the game and you run the football with them.

I'm gonna show you one of the better receiving.

Fullbacks in the National Football League, my guy Kyle you Scheck, we call him Juice.

Let this plate run right there.

You see Kyle right there, right there, right at the full back position.

Week Bob played back on back.

That's what Bob stands for, right right now, telling this nickelback. This will linebacker, run game, run game, run game. Now you see his odds are in the backfield. He's like, oh snap, I don't think he had the football. Maybe they go ahead and back on up and see what happens. You see Kyle get right behind him. You see Kyle with a great play design. Kyle Shanahan flood the zone, you get the wheel route, you get an explosive I know again, I know. You show you to guys like myself, fullbacks. You know what I'm saying, helping other guys that get explosive When you see Kyle, you check right there. The most reception yards fullbacks in the last five seasons, you check us right there, almost one thousand yards eighty nine receptions for over almost nine hundred yards.

Now, well, we're not getting.

Open for receptions. We're helping.

See, the full back position is all about help guys.

Again.

Oftentimes we're getting stepped on while somebody else is going into the end zone and we got to get up and cop for it.

You know why that damn.

Check keeps cashing, Sarah, you know what I'm saying again. We also help quarterbacks get this get passes off as well. Let's go ahead and let this thing play right here.

Here's my guy.

See they hand right here. This dude's a protector. He's a protector.

He let nobody touch Sam Donald or Kirk Cousins when he was there or whoever playing for it.

Back watch this block boom right.

There inside out again creating leverage. We're gonna look at this thing again because he's lined up over there. He hopped on the other side right and then they blitzed to the back, but they cross kidded Boom and slid the line to all the blitzers and then he catched one of those little spraggly dba's coming off the side.

You eat them guys up.

For lunch off.

Spit them out. That's what fullbacks to all right, Now you.

Need some short yardag on the ground, right, Usually bigger guys, right, the fullbacks are.

Always ready for those hard fought run. You see my guy Hunter.

Lift Key right here, right, he's a bigger guy, right, So oftentimes you canna let this thing go ahead and run. Oftentimes you see a bigger guy in the backfield. Everybody's thinking this thing going.

In the a guy you see the.

Giants right to everybody.

Everybody's ready for this to be a quarterback sneak or just a straight hand dog right up the middle, bigger back.

But uh huh.

When you got fullbacks in the game, you know what I'm saying, you get developed some tendencies and then that way you develop tendency so you can break it. You see Hunter right there, bounce the ball outside and get.

The first down.

Look at that right there, that's a discipline outside song run.

He tripped over a couple of plays of grass.

Ain't nobody saying we running the ball a whole lot, right?

We get short yardage first downs.

Now, you know, I know we've spent a lot of the show guys talking about you know, wide receivers, big catches. Quarterbacks get a lot of attention on this show a lot. It's fullback in the studio today, real, Mike rob and I want my Pro Bowls, and I got my Super Bowl and All Pros and all that stuff at the full back position.

So how did I do? Guys? Kyle?

I know you up first man?

How did I do? What you think about the fullbacks? Now? You did great?

I love the fullbacks now, Mike, I loved watching you when you're a fullback.

Step back for a second and speak to it. What is the state of the nation with fullbacks? And I mean that going down?

If you're going to go to a high school game this weekend, if you're going to go see an eight year old's.

Player, are they even lining up full backs? And if they are, is anyone looking to be full back?

Because when I was a little kid, full back was really really cool.

What is the state of it right now? Yeah?

People don't realize Franko Harris was a full back. God rest is soul full back and half back, and that used to be the sign of the times.

Everybody growing up wanted to be that.

I do you football in the state of Virginia as you guys know, and it's just not being taught. The full back position is not being taught. We're hybrid players, just like a nickel or back on defense. Right, it's a hybrid player. This guy has to tackle at a big time at a big time level. Right, he's a smaller player, has to tackle, but he also has to transition to cover full backs. We got to be able to block, but we also have to be able to affect the game in the passing game. And to me, it just I don't think, guys that there's a lot of coaches on the youth level, especially that even know how to coach the full back position. You guys saw me when I was describing Patrick McCard. He was chasing a half a man. You sports, I don't even hear coaches talk like that.

When I heard.

When I started getting the concept of chasing a half of a player, it changed my life. It taught me how to block, and so the fundamentals of the sport. I think you guys have heard Brady talk about this at the quarterback position, but it's not just the quarterback position. It is all across wide receivers. DB's all across the landscape. So yeah, man, the fundamentals are being left out. But there's some great players in the National Football League, Mike.

Rob I want to say it says the bottom of screen there fullbacks deserve more recognition. And I can tell you I'm not jumping on the bandwagon here. But back in the day, when I was in college, was eight million years ago, you had these media guys if they actually printed, and it would say favorite sports star, favorite sports personality, and mine was Mike Alstock.

Hey, there you go.

I love the age I mean, and so I'm not making Cory Schlessinger aball Cooryles said, there's.

A picture of him in my room growing up. Can you make this up?

You are right for the guy you just my mom. Send me a picture please, that would be awesome.

Yeah, A trained Back in the day they played tumba wamba when he would knock people down. I get knocked down, I get up there, get up again. Earlier in the show, we were talking about best nineties albums, so we put up a poll. We asked you to weigh in and vote. Sherry Burris, this was just completely disrespected. She wanted spice Girls. Wait, what's the album?

What was the album Spice Worldlife or Spice Spice World. Yeah, there's so many to choose from.

Err yeah, well okay, so this is unfair. I mean maybe any of those three would have what do we have the results or this is an ongoing thing.

We put up the results.

Which nineties album do you want to listen to on repeat?

Yeah?

Project this point, Alison Chains is winning because Kyle as he's forty percent of the forty one.

Well, all the d all the damn X. Fancy that work, but it ain't up. Yeah, that's how I got you know what I'm saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Man, they'll get up later. Bro. Let's check this poll out tomorrow. Ian, what did you have to say about the results? De bas chill?

So disrespectful?

Come on, No, TLC is great. I'm not as great as Notorious bad. May he rest in peace.

I reject the results of this poll.

How's I must say?

Christ?

So here's my theory. I'm a newbie on the show.

I mean I come on as a I pop in every once in a while, just for a couple of minutes, and Kyle's the regular. I feel like because you are regular on the show, because you are you. Your fans have simply taken what you said and just voted for it. Whereas maybe I don't have that many bands on Good Morning Football regular watchers.

Okay, yeah I don't. Necessarily we did this poll on insider. I think I'd crush it.

But you're bringing your insiders.

Let's go good weird nineties. Yea working a night shift, one of the other you know how they go.

We've got more Good Morning Football coming. A new hour kicks off next
