Good Morning Football.
Welcome to Good Morning Football, presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky. We are live in Los Angeles. I am Sarah Walsh in our LA studios for the first time for me, filling in for our Jamie Erdall, who is London.
One person clapp for me, thank you so much, along with Mike.
They're saving me A plus for Mike rob or maybe for Ian Rabbitport and Kyle Brant who are joining us from New York.
Hey, guys, it's awesome. You got applause and everything, Sarah or your parents there they came to studio. Is that what happened? Yeah?
You say it was one person who I can't even see somewhere behind.
The always brings the energy.
That was the little.
Boost I know.
Let's get right to the A block and Ian kill us in on what is happening with the Raiders and Davante Adams, because this thing is wild.
A dramatic day yesterday for the Las Vegas Raiders really one that I think has been speculated upon for months and months, but one just being totally honest, I wasn't.
Sure was ever going to be a reality.
Here's my understanding of the situation. Davante Adams informed the Raiders on Monday, the day after they won against the Browns and a dramatic win without him, that he preferred to be traded. Now, this has been, as I mentioned, speculated for a long time because we know that there have been several teams interested in trading for Devonte Adams. That happened last year on the trade deadline and it looked like the Raiders were going the wrong way.
Happened again this offseason.
There's been plenty of them, the Jets, I know, everyone talks about Connected Dots with Aaron Rodgers. There have been others though in at every moment the Raiders said no, no, we are not going to do it, and.
Now potentially the door open.
Cavante ada them, sources tell me, and colleague Mike Carrafollo informs the Raiders that he would prefer to be traded. In my understanding is the Raiders are at least open to this.
For the right deal. It would likely be expensive.
Obviously you'd have to rework Devont Adams contract for the twenty twenty five season, but certainly it is conceivable. Now, there are a couple different options here. He could end up staying with the Raiders. I know that something several members of the organization would like. But there is also a possibility that one of the best receivers we've seen over the course of the last decade heads elsewhere before.
The trade deadline. Just a major, major shift.
Well, thoughts on a situation that that's really fallen apart there in Vegas between Devonte Adams and the Raiders.
And then you mix in the.
Idea of there were the tweets with Antonio Pierce, like in a tweet that he could have played his last game, which I think is just crazy And Rob what do you think?
Oh, yeah, this is a tough one because DeVante Adams arguably one of the best wide receivers in.
All of football. First of all, I would.
Want to get up out of there too a receiver. And this team you talk about, the Raiders, they don't have a quarterback. I know they have Gardner Mitchell and they put him out there and ain't O'Connell is the backup. But as a wide receiver who wants the football and wants to win.
This isn't a great situation.
And it really hadn't been a great situation since Davantae Adams has been there. And I know he took the money he left Green Bay, who I honestly think Green Bay is one of the destinations that could possibly use him.
Now you look at.
The fact that Christian Watson, he's out right now, and they have a young quarterback who they've already paid, and they need a coverage dictator like the DeVante Adams another team that could use a Davante Adams. And I know the football gods probably won't allow this to happen. For Kansas City, man, I think he would be awesome in Kansas City. Remember remember when it was another wide receiver, Sarah, who was.
Trying to look for a home and he.
Got with a great quarterback in Tom Baymer Randy Marshall. Like, I can see that possibly happening in Kansas City.
And then Kansas City has a.
Quarterback who's probably better than anybody on the Raiders roster as a backup and Carson Wentz. So I mean, I'm just saying a trade can you know, can happenings. I don't know the business part of it, but some things can happen. But I do think of the football guys allowed to happen, I'd be cheating, man.
I'd get Patrick Mahomes, somebody like Levonta Adams. But hey, wishful think you well. Listen, Randy Moss came from the Raiders too, and he went to the Patriots. But I think if they traded him to the Chiefs and Division, the Raiders fans would besiege upon this facility and with torches, and I would understand that completely. Lots to get to on this. We're all excited he In is here in studio and there's a lot of news going on. There's also a clip going around that everyone has a bunch of opinions on. When he's not liking tweets, Antonio Pierce was asked point blank about a couple of the stars on his team, and everyone is breaking down this video. So have a look at the head coach of the Raiders. Go ahead, Frans with Max and Devonte practice this week, and is Michael Mayer back in the building?
But Max and seventeen all depends on where they had health wise as of right now status quo and Mike is still the only person all.
Right, So two takeaways. Everyone is saying ha ha. He refers to Devont Adams as seventeen. He can't even say his name. That I put no stock in a lot of people call him seventeen. Devont Adams calls himself seventeen or one seven. That I don't think is any kind of tell. However, this all this action up here was the second seventeen's name. He's scratching and pulling. They're like, dude, that is clinical. That is right out of the textbook. And if you go deep with the Seinfelder references, which I really don't, Elaine and Jerry are sitting around talking about people reveal themselves. They show themselves by touching, touching in the higher, the bigger reveal. So I think Antonio knows something is going on here. Mike, listen, I agree with you. If you're a Raiders fan, I don't think you're screaming and kicking right now either, at least I wouldn't be. He's thirty one years old. Next year his salary takes a huge jump. He's gonna get more expensive. I don't think the Raiders are built to win a Super Bowl this year or win the West.
And we're at.
DeVante's as far as he's concerned asking for this. Listen, he has a standard of living. DeVante Adams. He spent years and years with an MVP quarterback. All right, he was spoiled. It's fine, It's not his fault. Remember he was sold on this tale of you're gonna move to the Las Vegas and you're gonna be with your old college buddy Derek Carr, and it's gonna be awesome, and that's how you play out your career. Well, Josh McDaniels didn't like Derek Carr, so he's gone and he's with the Saints right now. And DeVante is miserable. I have never seen someone so unhappy on a reality show as we saw Demante Adams. And I said that autobiographically. I mean, come on, it was awful. He did not want to be there. But as far as where, you know, we're throwing everything to the against the Wall and Chiefs and there's all these other teams. I'll just say the headliner right here. You see this photograph of this quarterback. This is the last time we saw Aaron Rodgers on us.
In a game.
He has a towelovers that he can't even look. I know, it's obvious, and it's you're saying, oh, how many people do you have to bring and how many people as many as you can. We are four games into the Jets season, this one you look around and say, is this a super Bowl team?
No?
Could it become a super Bowl team? Maybe the Jets don't have the luxury of Maybe they're not in the business of Maybe they need to at least get to Probably it's a one year thing. With as many hits as he took last week, they hope.
It's one year.
And I would just say, in a final word for Rogers, when guys get into their forties, when men and women get into their forties, I don't care if they're a quarterback or a school teacher. You just want comforts. You want familiar comforts. It's the clothes you wear, it's the music you listen to, it's the food you eat, it's all of us.
You know what.
The leading receivers for the Jets after four games Alan Lazard. He leads them in yards, he leads them in touchdowns because Rogers is comfortable with him. Can you imagine if you brought in Davante and he's even comfortable him and more ability. We can't sit around and wait, Well, Garrett Wilson, Gret, we gotta go. We got we got one year to win a Super Bowl. I would think, yes, I know it's obvious. I know it's in the headline. Know it's New York. Yes, yes, and yes, do everything you can to get him there, and why the hell not, let's try it.
Let me give you another team that I think.
It's that idea of we got to go, right, So everyone's going to put him with Aaron Rodgers, that's his he loves. Let me offer up another quarterback that he clearly loves. Because this was DeVante Adams earlier in the year talking about Lamar Jackson.
I was finding myself watching Lamar Jackson highlights, like in my locker before the games, like, dude, change the game. He's the best, in my opinion, best ball carrier ever, no matter what position you want to talk about. I don't think anybody's as big of a threat to carrying the football. So and obviously he can. You know, he's worked really hard to develop in the other parts of his game as well, and you've seen that come a long way too.
Okay, So here's the thing. There's there would be some cap issues with the Ravens. However, Lamar Jackson, think about what he's done.
He hasn't had a Pro.
Bowl receiver that has made the Pro Bowl as a receiver with the Ravens. And in fact, I had research check this because it was.
Actually unbelievable to me.
No raven wide receiver has ever made the Pro Bowl as a wide receiver in Baltimore. Some of the wide receivers have made it on special teams, they haven't done it at all in their franchise, which is incredible.
I know.
I actually I was like the Smith. I read this and I was like, this cannot be true.
So while he was there with Baltimore, so you put Davante Adams on that team, and now you've got to contend with Davante Adams, Derek Henry Zave Flowers. I mean, it changes the entire dynamic and a Baltimore Ravens fan base that was in meltdown mode at zero to two, and what do we do it all of a sudden and you saw what they did now against the Bills. I mean, what a flip of the narrative there, and then they are right back in this thing. And then they go right to the topic contenders. And yes, again I mentioned Ian, you'd know this better than me about the cap space there.
But if they could move some.
Stuff around, and obviously we just heard from Davante he really likes Lamar.
Not a bad place to go. Ian, what do you got.
As a runner with the Ravens.
You could easily make it work cap wise, He's got a huge number next year. Whoever tradesman is probably going to rework the number. Anyway you want to make it work. You can almost always make it work capitalize. It would be my team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. We spent a lot of time this offseason talking about the Steelers potentially trading for a big time receiver who was going to get paid. That was Brandon Newuke. Obviously the forty nine Ers end up keeping him. I thought so many different times I was getting ready to hit send on the tweet. The trade to the Steelers never happened. They are still looking for a receiver and they are good. They are a good team. The defense is good. The quarterback situation seems to have solidified with Justin Field's playing probably as well as anyone thought he could be. Over the course of the first four games going to start game five, despite Russell Wilson nearing or getting to full health, they just need one more weapon. Hard to imagine a better player being available at the trade deadline than DeVante Adams.
The Steelers are showing they're willing to do it. To me, that makes the most sense.
How much is this going to dominate your life?
Ian?
Let's go here, all of it, all of it.
I mean, you know, it's funny. So I hit send.
I hit send yesterday, full discloser in the shower, whatever, it doesn't matter, hit send yesterday.
Second in the shower.
You're hitting send in the shower, Like, yeah, you have a phone in the shower.
How far has to be out of the shower holding the first right?
Dangerous?
No?
No, I mean I'm not.
It's not a FaceTime you know, and thank god it's not an electronic. You get news when you get you get news when you get news.
I hit send and I finished showering. It doesn't matter anyway.
What I was thinking as I hit send was like, this is someone else could get it. People need to know the news, Mike, Rob, They got to know the news.
So as soon as I hit.
Send, I'm like, Okay, now we're off, because this is going to be the story now until he gets traded or until the Raiders say, you know what, we are keeping him. So, yes, this is this is going to dominate something.
Shower can't wait, A shower send can't wait.
Got to get it out there.
Much more on this to come in the days, the weeks ahead. So how are you feeling? That is the question we are going to ask NFL teams. Are you happy like Justin Jefferson and the Vikings. Are you worried like Aaron Rodgers and the Jets. Here we go a quarter mark check in. We're calling it saving faith.
Kyle.
I can't wait bus Jared Goff. Is anybody feeling it more and right now in the league than Jared Goff?
He said of.
Jameis and Williams's wide receiver quote, I know he strikes fear and every team we play, So that beck's the question. What player is going to strike fear? In the NFL Week five? It is whiteboard Wednesday. It's an undefeated segment. It's no incompletions, just like Jared Goff, It's good morning football on a Wednesday. Nothing like it.
Good morning football.
It is time now for Whiteboard Wednesday, and we're starting off with the Lions, where Jared Goss is James Williams strikes fear in every team we play. So the player that's going to strike fear into teams for Week five is two ball security.
Me.
Let me put this name up. I hope I spelled it right, but it's all good.
I'm gonna go with King Derick Henry. Yes, going up against the Cincinnati Bengals. First of all, I didn't know this, but each week Derrick.
Henry's his carriages winner has went up, his yards have went up.
He went from forty six against Kansas City to eighty four against Las Vegas, the one fifty one against the Cowboys, and then last week.
Against I'm sorry Buffalo Bills.
Against my Buffalo Bills, he had almost two hundred and one ninety nine.
So if I'm just looking at you know the.
Numbers, He's had two hundred and twenty five yards this week against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati Bengals nine is they have not been too great against the run this year, So yeah, I think Derrick Henry will have a huge week this week against Cincy.
All right, So for me, I got Aiden Hutchinson, and obviously I know here everyone is a faithful watcher of the Insight. Yeah, Aiden Hutchinson was a guest on the inside of it last night. And I'm not just saying this because he was a guest. Yes, it might be the scariest, and I'm not this might be the scary I'm not like, I would never lie to you. This might be the scariest defender in football right now. We talked so many times of you know, defensive Player of the Year candidates, and to me, Aiden Hutchinson and Fred Warner have jumped out as the two early favorites. It's like a pressure every single way, seriously, And like I went through some of the stats yesterday from next Gen and I think he leads the NFL and pressures had ten on Monday night and I'm watching the game and I'm like, it's more because every play Aiden Hutchinson is a menace. Absolutely the scariest defender in the NFL right now.
I'm into it. We will be watching that this weekend. Of course, We'll be watching the Insiders all week of course. My answer is just pulled from the headlines. Can you strike fear into your own team, because that's what I have right here. I'm gonna go the London version of Rogers. It's only his second time I remember going to London. The last time was a couple of years ago and they lost on a pretty bad Packers team. You might remember. Here's why, here's where the fear comes from. Five fall start penalties and then leading to a headline story about his coach saying maybe we should stop doing that crazy cadence. Can you imagine on the first drive if there's another false start penalty? Can you imagine on the first play if there is. I've never looked forward to a five yard penalty more ever, Media go to Rogers camp to see the body language, to see the facial expression. I'm sorry, Jets fans, I kind of hope it happens. I just want to see. And by the way, if you thought that the rain and the weather might have added to the confusion and the misery for the Jets on Sunday.
Guess what. I looked it up.
The forecast for London this weekend is rain, and so we're gonna have it. We're gonna run it back from Jersey to London. They get five fall star penalties again, he may walk off the field. This is the one I want, I need it, I want it, and it'll probably happen. Rogers to his own.
Team, you don't think they're gonna fix their issues.
Though they're a veteran group up front, you don't.
Think they're gonna, like, come on, you don't think Robert Slain practice is gonna make an emphasis on it this week? I mean, come on, man, you got you gotta think they're gonna fix those issues.
I would think. So, Mike, just give me one. I don't need five again, Just give me one on a big third down. All I want is one. It's not too much to ask. Come on now, Kyle.
One out of the gate is sala is the Sola cut away. The tug, the tug on the Pauler the way same way that Antonio Pierce you just teed up?
Is that what we're going like?
I show yourself like this people, the collar tugging me, you lying?
You know, come on, we know what's going on. Okay.
So Commissioner Roger Goodell was asked by our Peter Suger yesterday what his favorite New Orleans Super Bowl memory was, and he had this to say, it was nineteen eighty six.
I was Pete Roselle's driver. This is incredible.
Wo.
So it was the best single Bears Patriots Bears Patriots. Wasn't a great game, no, but but I was up in the booth with Pete and we had an officiating her.
Oh, it was not a good day for FI.
He was upset.
But the reality is I spent the entire week with Pete basically living in this in this room. I was just sort of go to to everything, and it was the experience of a lifetime to me. I never thought that I would even be that close to much. Let's driving around town and now you're the commissioner.
Who's driving Roger Goodell around right, going to be commissioner exactly. So the NFL figure you would love to show for around for the day would.
Be, Oh, for me, I'm gonna go with Joe Namath. Yeah, I'm gonna stay in the house right there.
Well, first of all, guys.
Like the night before a game, it's like a sacred time in NFL locker rooms and for NFL teams, right, it's a lot of focus. Some guys watch movies, you know, you get an inspirational speech from the head coach or whatever, and you go out there, you focus, and you go out there the next day to try.
To win a game.
From all stories, Joe Namath would be out in the club the night before, right, Like I couldn't imagine, like being his driver the night before a big time gate.
What about Super Bowl three?
What if?
What if he went out the night.
Before Super Bowl three?
Right and you were the driver and you're pulling up to some bar and you're hanging out with woolly Joe Namath and he got an all white coat on or something like that. Oh my goodness. I just couldn't imagine then. Back then, it's not like they had helmet the helmet communication.
He was calling his own.
Damn place too hungover sometimes, Oh it would be awesome, Oh man, shout out to Joe, naming one of my favorite people in the whole world.
But uh yeah, it would have to be a Joe Nama for me. Hey, listen, Mike, if you're driving Joe, you better have an SGV because he's gonna bring friends home. You know what I'm saying, Like, you gotta have some just like his buddy. It's not no, no, no, no, not Actually it's good as anybody. It's just get ready, Mike.
I know that's right.
I know that's right. What do you got sheet? I will go with.
Actually didn't know Mike Rob was going to be on the show, but one of his good friends.
Oh hell yeah, now ma Sean Lynch.
So I've talked to b smoked a couple of times. One time he randomly called me in the spring after I had been doing a bunch of reporting on why he was going to.
Hold out one of the stranger experiences in my life.
One time I chatted with him while he was facetiming with our old friend Mike Rob over there.
But I've never really sat down and just listen to his stories. So here's here would be what I'm thinking.
If I'm driving, I figure you got nice LIMI you got some like Hennessy or something in the back and start drinking and I just want to hear stories. And I wouldn't say anything except for like yeph wow and just let him go because all of the things like whatever show that is where Marshaun Lynch just tells everything that can't be public that happened in his life and in the NFL.
I would like to be the.
Driver for that, and I would even I would even offer to never tell anyone ever, just so I could know the secret stories.
That's what I'm here for.
I know all the stories bro outside of NDIA, and I'm not gonna tell you.
I know you want me to tell you. I and we talked all the time. I'm never going to tell you.
Subscribe to the Get Got podcasts.
Maybe you'll get a couple of old stories. Okay, there you go, it got he got my guy. I have a standby in this segment. You know it's your first time doing it. I have answered this person is my response so many times. He's my go to because Guy's philosophy. Again, I'm on a different page than you. I spend most of my afternoons and evenings chauffeuring people around being my two children, who never shut up, who fight, who scream, who kick? Who claw? So if I'm gonna have to do this in addition to doing that, I go to my same guy answer every time I want. Marcus Mariota. He's not gonna say squat, He's not gonna say anything. He's gonna sit in the back and be quiet. Mike, we're not going to the club. He's having a club soda. That's it. I don't want to hear stories. I don't want to hear anything. He's not gonna sit back there and touch those little mints. He's not gonna have any of the water. He's not gonna just the ac or music. He's gonna sit there with his hands folded and say nothing. I'll remind you that Netflix and all their resources shows Marcus Mariota to be a subject of their docu series. They followed him for about three months and didn't get what not one second. So he's gonna be in my car, he's gonna be silent. I'm gonna drop him off. I'm gonna go to bed. I love you, Marcus. You're always here from me. In this segment, he has a personality, cal You do know that. You know we're waiting for it.
Speaking to people with personality.
Kyle's favorite band Tool release their thirtieth anniversary deluxe edition of their CD Undertow. So the whiteboard question is this what album from the nineties could you listen to on repeat?
Oh?
WHOA, I had a lot.
I had a lot here, guys, I actually wrote a paragraph for my answers. You know they had doggy style and there the chronic all of that.
Was part of it.
Now, if I'm gonna go with DMX it's dark and hell is hot, then I say it like yeah. It was his first you know, you know, major mainstream album. And let me tell you some guys, I was in high school when it dropped. It around ninety seven, ninety eight, around that time, and every single varsity football game this was the blessing out of the fieldhouse at Verona High School in Richmond, Virginia, blasting.
Out of the locker room.
So, uh, DMX, you know, every time I hear this album, I can still listen to it today. It wouldmind. It reminds me of that time in high school. Friday night lights.
Let's get it all right?
So for me, a classic Ready to Die what I would consider to be the greatest hip hop album.
Yeah, Now it's a good competition.
I would say thirty six Chambers Illmatic would both be up there. Ready to Die is the greatest album of all time. So much so, who was your favorite get ready for this? Who was your favorite Juicy's?
My juicys?
My favorite man now hold no, no, no, no, no, that was that was That was a commercial banger.
What was your favorite song on there? Man, come on, don't give me something? Come on you?
Okay, so I mean Big Papa is also on there.
That's another commercial song. Give me something real?
You got you got suicidal thoughts?
Right again?
Okay, okay, you must.
Get the if you get the remastered Dreams and you get who shot You?
Here?
Here's here's my favorite though.
There's one more chance on that album, but not the commercial one. It's like the original, which no one ever listens to. And it's got the best intro, with all due respect to method Man, that intro, which everyone knows is great. It's got the best intro of all time, the Answering Machine.
It's just repreiat.
It makes me laugh every time.
It makes me laugh.
Too high Big.
He's the greatest artist.
Of all time, and I could listen to that album for him.
Listen. Those of you who are stunned right now and don't know Ian's musical taste, I'll just remind you his name is rap sheet, rock Sheet. It's not pop sheet. It is rap sheet. Ian loves the rap music and I wish I could keep going. Guys like I enjoy it as well. But here they come to snuff the rooster. I'm gonna take a hard left turn. Alison Chane's Dirt this is the one that I need. The first five seconds of the album with them Bones will still knock you off your chair.
In fact, I saw.
Post Malone just covered it and did an incredible job. Whether it be Into the Flood again with Wood with a question mark listen back then. Most of my heroes growing up in the rock and roll scene, most of them are dead, and most of them are coming from terrible, terrible causes, as is the case with Lane Staley here, but they still do it for me. Alston Chain's Dirt. I could have named a million other albums, but Dirt from start to finish. And I would suggest to you, as Sarah Walsh, that we take this into the democracy we had. We just submitted three albums. I think we should ask the viewers which nineties album would you personally like to listen to the most. It'll sell a lot about our ages, our demos, and I think it'd be interesting.
So we're gonna put that on socials so you can vote, but you can only vote on what you guys are picking, right, They can't weigh in.
I don't think, well, submit vote, We'll do a poll, Okay.
I would take another hard left and go something that you guys obviously are not going to care about it all. But I'd go TLC. And I saw them recently and Chill I love Chili, Crazy Crazy sexon equal Chili still has the apps from the ninety I mean this was maybe two years ago. I saw it was my face well favorite full six pack ads. She has not aged today, so I don't know that I'm in the poll, but I would go TLC. That poll will be up later and you can vote on it and then we'll recap it.
Yah. We got a talk between the.
Break Grubs Waterfall.
That album was good, like Grubs, I like, I don't like the way they talking about Dunes.
Sherry Burris and Share. You're jumping into the pop culture portion of the program. We talked earlier as a show about the nineties album we would still love to listen to from start to finish and some of the artists that were thrown out DMX, TLC, Biggie Smalls and Alison Chains for myself, who comes to mind for you? Sherry?
So this was a really tough question.
I was like, racking my brain Kyle of Oh my goodness, I had to go back to my CD case.
Who I would pick?
Maybe dating myself, Spice Girls.
They had multiple albums that.
I could get down.
I still sing it all the time in the car. I can't tell you what I had for lunch last week. I still know probably every song on.
That album Nice Girl. I don't know it was the first CD.
I can hear what you are.
It's what you really really want.
That's fine, exactly, Thank you, Kyle.
And you know what they're saying in New York.
Stop right now to Aaron Rodgers, right this whole cadence talk. Thank you right there, I got you, Aaron Rodgers. Cadence said still a big topic of conversation after the Jets had five fall start penalties and last Sunday's loss to the Broncos. Well after the game, head coach Robert Sala said the cadence on offense was an issue, but he later walked back those comments. For his part, Roger considers his cadence a weapon no matter how you look at it. As they had to London for a matchup with the Vikings, Minnesota's defensive coordinator Brian Flores is going off Rogers' track record of success, and.
Rogers obviously a future Hall of Famer. He's been doing this a long time. I'm sure they're going to get that corrected, and he's going to do what he's been doing, you know, his entire career, and it looked like it maybe it was a little bit of an issue for him, but there's just so much there's just so much you know, footage and history there with him getting guys a jump, identifying what the defense is doing that I just don't see it changing very much and certainly will be a challenge for ust now.
Bill's linebacker Von Miller has spended four games with outpay for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
Miler will be.
Eligible for reinstatement after Buffalo's Week eight game against the Seahawks, and the International Players Program is responsible for growing the game all across Latin America. Dolphins offensive lineman Bryan Mattos is hoping to expand football in his native Dominican Republic. We're bringing a little island culture here to the States.
Yeah, I can said, I'm fine on My name is Barromatos from Dominica Public officer line Miami Dolphins.
The number one.
Person to be in the kitchen through my whole lives being my grandma. Grandma doesn't want to be cook in twenty four seven, my mom cook too sometimes well, grandma foods is bad better than my MoMA. Don't don't tell her.
I say that the one that represent us.
And oh we lost a kotio of those twos or the finals.
Of Dominic game.
And here in Miami they have it all can be Dominican, FUS, Mexican, Colombia and Minnesota and Cuban.
They hotted in.
Miami tes Dominicans, but they know my older than everything. I'm really proud represent my country and my last name in the bag is it's amazing.
You gotta give me the opportunity to do it.
I know Dominicans riding with me, especially here in Miami, y'all.
When I see the flies in the games.
Dominican flyers, and people are messaging me and me like, hey, really proud. I got somebodies in the league like now, like Simon red Yez for the bier Kings and Pacheco for the Cheese Spanish guys. So man representing the country and the future number one team saydiya key, sodiya yah.
Like a perfect fit.
They're from Mato's in Miami. Well here, it's almost time to Save Face. Coming up next, we're playing the game Save Face and taking a look at back of the state of some of your favorite teams.
Keep it here, Good mom Football, Welcome back to GMFB on a Wednesday. It's always exciting when we break out a new game. We've played hundreds of games over the years, and now we're gonna play a new game. It's called Saving Face. We're gonna run with some pictures that the Internet decided to become entranced by this weekend. We're gonna judge teams based on three pictures. So here you go. When I throw out a team to one of my co hosts, here, you got to hold up one of these pictures. Is it this one? Hell yeah? Man, Dan Campbell double biceplicing, very excited, like you feel great about this team? Is it this one? This is Will Levis on the sideline. Will Love the guy we respect and he's in a lot of pain. But you're kind of like, I don't know if I can play or not. You didn't know if we'll could return in that game. Or if you will return next week you're not really sold? Or is it this one? You feel this way about this team? Now, this is not a commentary on the Jets. It's just a funny picture of Rogers with a tiel over his head, and this team makes you feel like that. So it's like Goldilocks. Guys, hot, medium, cold. Hold up one of the pictures and we will start with the pride of Penn State. Michael Robinson. Mic, you're up first, the forty nine Ers, reigning NFC Champs two and two and a lot of mystery about the offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey. Which picture sums up best how you feel about the state of the Niners right now?
Ooh, you know I used to play for the Niners too, man. They actually brought me into the National Football the fourth round pick, yes, Ian, one hundredth pick overall, one hundred, one hundred. I'm gonna go with this one right here and again, I want my San Francisco forty nine Ers fans to realize this isn't a bad picture, even though Will Levis is making a face because they're pulling his shoulder out of the socket and putting it back in the place.
At least that's what I think is happening right.
Here, even though that's what's even though that's what this picture is. But I'm so so on the Niners because you look at who they are, right you look at their.
DNA, A very physical team.
I think they have the right quarterback for the system, and this system really can have almost any running back back there. Now they're not as explosive without Christian McCaffery, but I think they'll get their football together. They got two division games coming up against the Cardinals and the Seahawks.
So, uh yeah, I'm so so on this San.
Francisco foot nine. It's just so so they'll be all right. It's regularly so.
I got you, Mike, they got the We have one for the Will Levis picture, the Campbell and the Rogers still untouched. And we go to Sarah Walllster in Los Angeles. We're going to the defending champs, the team the Niners lost to in the Super Bowl. Sarah. They're undefeated, they're four and oh they just lost for Shia Rice for the season. They are home this weekend, actually on Monday night, against the Saints. Arrowhead against the Saints on Monday Night. Which of the three pictures sums up your feelings on the Chiefs?
Okay, so here's the thing.
It feels a little bit wrong to do this because they're four and oh, I get it, how many teams would love to be in their position. But I gotta go love this because I was just talking about it.
This is when he was in Paint.
I mean, if you look at the roster and you just mentioned Rashid Rice, Marquise Brown, let's go Isaiah Pacheco. I mean, they're just dropping offensive players, and so at some point.
That's going to catch up to you. They're the Chiefs.
I think that we're spoiled with how good they are, and you expect them to just blow people out all the time, and that obviously hasn't been happening. I think the mark of champions and winners is that they somehow always seem to find a way to win.
But do you feel great right now with the injury issue?
I don't think I feel great. I think it's great therefore, and oh, but things could be better on the jury front.
There certainly, Kyle, one of these.
Weeks or one of these months, the Chiefs will actually lose a game, and until then we're going to continue to poke holes on them. And I totally get it, Sarah Ian Jets. They got to figure it out. They crushed the Patriots. Here we go to Super Bowl and then a miserable home game in the rain against the Broncos. Now they're going to London where they play probably the best team in football, Aaron Rodgers Old Buddies the Vikings, which photographed really describes how you feel best about the Jets right now.
You think I'm going to go Rogers grumpy face, Okay, but I'm going Dan camb all right, here's why I was actually at that game, the home opener for the Jets. They looked like the best team in football. Last week, they certainly did not look at the best team in football. They lost a miserable, ugly game. They are still very good and they have Aaron Rodgers.
They got a lot of weapons.
They got two great running backs, not one, but two, Raylan Allen really coming on. They got pressure off the edge, they got great defenders.
This is a good team.
I know they didn't play good last week, but they are a good team.
And if I'm the Jets and I'm going to.
London, which I don't get to go to international games, but we're pretending I'm the Jets here. If I'm the Jets and I go to London, I have the opportunity to take down the Vikings, an undefeated team, knowing that they haven't played very well but are still really good.
I'm this guy. This is me right here. I'm very all right, Sarah.
What do you got well?
I want to flip it around. Kyle, it's your turn. The Eagles.
They're banged up, they're coming off a lost of Baker Mayfield in the Bucks. How are you feeling about the Eagles?
Keep it real, Kyle, keep it real. I have no idea how I'm feeling. I have no I don't know how anybody knows how they're feeling about this team. Because you know what, I wish that I could hold up the Will Levis. They could use some more of this, just like something solid and consistent. Here's what I'm holding up. This is the Eagles. It's both of these. It's a mind mold between these two pictures.
It's like they get.
An A or an F. It's almost like, guys, could you just mix in like a C plus just for the sake of consistency. I don't know who they are. I don't know if they know who they are. And you know what, that's craziest thing is we're supposed to get answers. They're out a bye, they have that weird early buye. They don't play again until Week six against Cleveland. So I call them enigmatic. I called them mercurial. We don't know who they are yet. And this goes back to last year, Mike crob, let's do it, as state mandated by California and New York. We must talk about the Dallas Cowboys. They're coming off a prime time win against the Giants. How are you feeling about them?
Boys?
What do you got?
And yeah, yeah, br yeah yeah, I'm not looking. It's not looking up man. I mean, first of all, look, can't give up one hundred and forty six rushing yards per game. That's what they give up right now. And I love Michael Parsons, love some of those guys on that defense, but you just can't allow the line of scrimmage to move like that. Then you got Pittsburgh coming up next, their top ten rushing team, Detroit top ten rushing team, you buy, and then the Niners top ten rushing team. So yeah, I think the boys gonna have some issues.
All right, Sarah, We're going to the NFC South, Kirk Cousins, the Atlanta Falcons, coming off a last second win against their rivals, the Saints. We get Falcons bucks NFC South. This's this wheelhouse for you. Which photograph are you holding out? For the Atlanta Falcons.
I sat here because I don't want this to be Levis Levis Levis, and I'm like, I'm I'm gonna go Dan Kimpbell.
But here's the thing. They lost. They won, they lost, they won.
I don't know.
It isn't dire bought, Sarah, but it could be.
I mean, it's fifty to fifty here and the two wins they had. What if Sakue doesn't drop that ball, what if their kicker doesn't nail a fifty eight year field goal, It's a totally different story. I truly have no idea what's going to happen on Thursday Night football.
I don't know what Falcons we're going to see. The reason I was trending toward Danz Campbell is Kirk Cousins.
Is still just getting back. They're still just finding themselves. In chemistry.
But do I do?
I really know what I don't? I don't know?
All right, well, that's what we watched the games for. Ian, Let's do this quickly. The Cardinals one in three. They had that great win over the Rams, and then they've lost two in a row. Do you have a photograph to sum up the Cardinals right now as they go to San Francisco this weekend.
I'm going double ye oh.
Here's not a lot of expectations for the Cardinals, and I don't know how many wins are going to get, but my anticipation for them is to be a team that is medium average by November with a chance to make a run and make the playoffs. They play tough, they are talented enough. All positive for the Cardinals as they build.
You put up two arms and then say, I don't know how many wins they're gonna get, but I feel strong about them.
Yeah, okay, it's all positive.
Yeah, Kyle, you're beloved bear. How are you feeling about them? Just a quarter the way into the season.
I'll put it now, guys, Right now, I'm telling you I know that Jayden Daniels just look fantastic and he deserves all the credit. Caleb Williams is coming along just fine. You know that the Bears have the longest home win streak in the NFL. In the NFL, the longest home win streak. Caleb Williams in the last game led four scoring drives with zero turnovers. He beat Matthew Stafford, matt ebra Flutes, beat Sean McVay. That is something that happened. The schedule is not foreboding. They're two and two. They have the same record as the Niners, as the Jets, as the Ravens, as the I could keep going. Guys, the Bears are good. They're not the commanders right now, because nobody's the commanders, but they're pretty good right now. I feel good about him. Double bicep for sure.
Fundavid the most hotly contested topic this morning. No not where is DeVante Adam going? What nine in the album do you want to listen to on repeat times?
In Kyle vote?
Yeah?
Oh I got yeah. I didn't think this audience was going to go for TLT.
I mean no, I didn't.
Yeah, that's okay, I Rob I'm saying sure of myself, you know what I mean. I'm not going to play the crowd.
No, it's all good. It's all good. We did listen to some Janet.
This is.
That's a whole different segment. That's a whole difference.
Listen, I voted. I voted once. You know, the presidential candidates also voted for themselves. I imagine that vote.
Once you voted for your vote, they will swing it.
Rock the vote, Mike, I with them, rock for yourself.
I do it like Pro Bowl, vote on your own. If I don't vote for being money, who's gonna.
Vote for me?
Oh Man, let your words speak for themselves.
Cole Hey, the
