Aaron Rodgers, who commented on his future after defeating the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Ian Rappaport said this morning, people close to him, I know, are preparing for the fact that this could be, in fact be his last game in the NFL.
What is your reaction to that?
People say they were close to me, Yeah, and I talked to Yeah, Yeah, I don't. I don't have a relationship with Ian. I'm not sure who does in my circle, but there's probably nobody that's talked to me in the last sure. While no offense to Ian, of course, time now.

Can we just do a quick aside? How much does Ian Rapaport love that? I know it's kind of it is a little like, no offense to Ian. But those of us who know you and well, like perhaps Sheet must love that attention from Rogers, right, guys, Oh okay.
I think it was very polite, and I think there are some other insiders that Rogers is not so polite about or two.
So that's a big win for you and we love you good. Yeah, it was the Paul. For me, it was the pregnant Paul's where you go? People were close to me? Okay, loaded statement?

What do we make of Aaron Rodgers future Peter? What he said, how he's looked, what's going on in the building, all the above.
Well, Schiff felt like a guy before the final game when he was on the mic last week that he was kind of doing his swan song and like this might be it. But I listened to those comments and I see how the Jets situation is gonna go down here. Let's see who their new GM and head coach are gonna be. Because I speaking a sort like I don't think the Jets owners have made a decision.
Yes or Noah on Rodgers. They're gonna ask in this interview process, what are your thoughts?
So, like Rex Ryan's interviewing today with the Jets and Tom Beech, is Rex Ryan coming in and saying like, you gotta get rid of Rodgers, We got to start a new all right, Well, if Frex Ryan's interviewing today, eventually we're gonna get an Aaron Glenn interview, right, Is Aaron Glenn gonna come in and be like, actually, like Rogers, I think Rodgers is a better alternative than getting a third round pick and saying let's do that, or Jordan.
Travis or Tyrod Taylor.
I think Aaron Rodgers' future kind of depends on what the Jets future is. So I'm not no offense to Aaron as he said no offense to ian I in short of retirement. I think Rogers is gonna wait and see also, and I think we're all kind of in a wait and see mode based on what the Jets do as far as their next steps are, because a new coach might come in and be like, absolutely not, it's my team. I don't want to be succumbed to Rogers. Absolutely, I'm not doing that. And then it's probably Sey lev for Rodgers, and he's got to decide if he wants to play football again and then find a team that's a fit, which might be difficult based on what he brings to a squad and maybe what his number is gonna be salary wise.
Yeah, And you know, if they're interviewing you know, or they're interviewing Rex Ryan today, you know Rex Ryan is already out there saying that he you know, he would put essentially Aaron Rodgers in checking kind of get.
You know, kind of bring him in. And you know that's that's fighting words for Aaron Rodgers.
So you know, if that's the situation, is he willing to kind of go through that and put himself through that As a guy who's been in the league for twenty plus years, you know, I don't know what he's gonna do, to be honest with you, Like, ultimately, this decision comes down to Aaron Rodgers and what he wants. What I would personally like, in my opinion, I'd love to see Aaron Rodgers just fit. I mean, I think you know, he had a decent statistically decent season, and you know, like I want to remember Aaron Rodgers for the Super Bowls. I want to remember him for the MVP. I want to remember him as a general, a guy who could make dynamic and explosive plays. That's how I want to remember him. I don't want to see this downfall. And look, here's a guy that comes into a situation coming out of an injury his first year technically playing.
And all of the great ones do this.
They're intoxicated by their own greatness and they stay longer than they should. This is a great opportunity for him to reflect. Here's a guy that has and he's gone through this exploration of a deeper aspect of himself. You saw that kind of detailed enigma. Like I think he's off to better things, like he's going to be, to me, a for sure Hall of famer, like go off into the sunset or whatever you know you want to go into.
Right, you know, in terms of my own career, I'm just going to personalize this. Aaron Rodgers is very personal to me. I feel like he is a band that like blew up as I started listening to music. It's my generation, it's my era, Like this is these younger guys, fine, the older guys. When I was a kid, I just right when I started working in sports, is when Aaron Rodgers career started. Here we are twenty years later. I loved watching him. I love studying him. I've gotten to talk to him everything, even through controversial or dark times. I just always fascinated. I personally am ready to be done watching Aaron Rodgers play football.
That's just my own take on it.
And I know he probably has this idea that, you know, I want to go out like ol Way or like Peyton. I don't think that's gonna happen. And I know, from a Bay Area guy who grew up watching old NFL films, videos and stuff like sometimes they go out like Steve Young, and sometimes they go out like Joe Montana. You don't always get carried off. I just feel like Aaron Rodgers, You're twenty seasons in, you just ended with a win at home, You threw your five hundred touchdown pass, you got one into Devance started every game.
Guy started every single game.
His body's already been broken, he has all the MVPs, he's a super Bowl champion. I just to go and oh, We're gonna have this pipe dream about the Steelers or the Raiders, and it's this one last thing to chase something that I don't even know what that thing is. As a fan of his, I'm ready to be done seeing it. And I have a comp that I think is interesting to me. So the Hollywood comp that I have for Aaron Rodgers is is Jim Carrey. Okay, So it's an all time legend who's wildly talented, maybe one of the most talented people we've ever seen on screen, Unbelievable memories in twenty years, and not no no on interesting takes off the field. There's some controversy all that type of stuff, famous significant others, it's all there. But more specifically, when I think about Aaron Rodgers jumping on one last team to try it again after the jet thing didn't work out, there is an infamous passage of Jim Carrey's Wikipedia page that gets mean that the Internet falls in love with, and I think it kind of speaks to Rogers.
Right now, I'm going to read it to you verbatim.
In April twenty twenty two, Jim Carrey announced that he was considering retirement, saying.
Quote, I have enough. I've done enough. I am enough.
He said he would return if he were offered a script that he felt would be quote really important for people to see. In February twenty twenty four, it was announced that Kerry would reprise his role as Doctor Robotnik and Sonic the Hedgehog.
Signed The Hedgehog three. Hey, I'd done enough. I have enough enough. But if there's a script, or, in Rogers case, a team that felt really important for people.
To see, then maybe I thought a Charlie Kaufman script was coming through the.

Sara's saying that Sarrence Malick, Dodge Nolan wants him.
No, no, I understand that Rogers is saying, like, what if there's that.
Team, Steelers Raiders, those have great history.
Just don't go chasing Sonic the Hedgehog three. You're too big, you're too good, You've accomplished too much. You have enough, You've done enough, and you are enough. Go off and enjoy the next stage of life, whatever that hell that's gonna be, whatever you want, You've earned it.
As a lifelong fan, I've seen enough.
Well done, Kyle very good, all great second down the postseason marks the first year Dolphins side receiver Tyreek Hill will not be playing in a playoff game since he entered the league. That's kind of hard to conceptualize, but here we are. After a frustrating year in Miami. Hill commented on his future after Sunday's loss to the Jets.
I'm out, man, you know, so it was great playing Hill, but you know, I at the end of the day, bro, I got to do what's best for you know, for for my career, and you know what's best because I'm too much of a competitor to be, you know, just be just out there at leaving here.

What do we make of Tyreek's comments? How do you translate that? Peter, And did anybody else notice how I feel like he's like looking down the hallway as he's talking about this stuff, maybe trying to eye on who's eavesdropping, or who his teammates or ownership or managements hearing this.
It was just a strange way.
To kind of corner him in a hallway and get this out of him.
I see there's a young woman in a white hat who does the pr for the Miama Dolphins and Nolan she's fantastic.
She was in New England for it, and and I feel for her because the season's over and it's been a brutal season for the Dolphins.
And here's Tyreek Hill on the last minute of his media availability, dropping this bomb and then changing his Twitter avatars ex avatar to a shirtless Antonio Brown with his face on it photoshopped.
What are we doing? Tyreek Hill's never?
I mean, talk about a guy who's been blessed to never have to experience a January without the playoffs. But you signed it, and you restructured your contract with a massive extension with huge dollars this season.
It's through thick and thin when you sign one of these deals, is it not?
And if you're the Dolph, like, what we really Tyreek? We just paid you all this money, You missed games, you had issues. Did you want to go in.
At the end?
Did you not want to go at the end? Here's the joke of it all. He'll be traded to the Chiefs in the offseason or something like. They'll still They'll trade him for a second round pick.
Are they run? And you'll see Tyreek being the.
Fastest guy in football with sixteen hundred yards next season.
That's how this goes.
We're in the player empowerment era, and to and Nolan, the pr chief of the Miami Dolphins, I feel for you because maybe you thought you had a vacation pact. Here we go, there's gonna be Dolphins had lines throughout the playoffs.
Yeah, Peter, how crazy would that be if they traded him before and got all this draft capital and then turned around and just kind of blew up, you know? For Tyreek, I look at this and I'm reading his body language, and I'm looking at a guy who's throwing a tantrum. He's having a knee jerk reaction to the fact that they're out of the playoffs. You mentioned it first time. Not being in the playoffs. He's had probably one of his worst, you know, production wise season in a very long time, under a thousand yards, didn't make it to the Pro Bowl. So if this is kind of hitting him all at once, and he's trying to process that, he's got cameras and he's got microphones in his face, and that's very hard when you know, like you're going home, Like he's like, Yo, I've never had to plan vacation and traveling and all this other stuff. At this early part of January, He's used to playing, and so I think the Dolphins, they probably will try to work this out, knowing that the two difficult people to deal with in any locker room actually three quarterbacks, receivers dbs. Those are the guys who get highly emotional, and I think he was highly emotional coming out of that game.
After the season that the Miami Dolphins put up.
Tyreek Hill is about a decade into his career right now, he has ten years of having microphones cameras put in his face. This is a year when he was a captain of the team. I think this is an embarrassing moment for him. I think it was in really really, really bad taste and terrible timing. If this was a young guy, a young player, young Tyreek Hill, Fine, you get emotional, you're angry, you're competitive, all that stuff. Guy, he's in his thirties, he's been in the league a decade. He's been doing this a long time. They just finished a bad game and a bad season in which guys who have been in the league longer than him and played harder than him, were much more professional than him. Look at Khalais Campbell's his career is about twice as long as Tyree.
She would never say something like that. I don't need to have him burned alive. I don't care. I'm not that angry about it.
If you're asking me, really bad timing, a really bad decision, and in the end of it, moving forward, would I bring him in to be a wide receiver on my team? Absolutely, without at that, without a doubt.
He will go.
Somewhere next year and just maybe one year deal, maybe a little short term before.
He gets bad. But would I bring him it? Hell? Yeah, you understand why he's in The NFL.
Players voted him the number one player in all the football He was number one, ahead of Lamar Allen Mahomes, everyone number one. He's an amazing footballer player when his head is right. That was a really bad moment for him, But I think there'll be good moments on.

We are keeping on track on playoff teams, of course, but also coaches that are available and busy this week.
Mike Rabel is a.
Hot topic, that's right, Jamie. Mike Rabel interviewed last week with the Jets. On Wednesday, he is going to interview with the Chicago Bears for their head coaching opening. The Saints also have interest in talking to Vrabel, and of course she got that team he used to play for in New England that has certainly been keeping its eye on him as well. Rabel was out last year, or at least in a consultant role, worked a lot with the offensive line in Cleveland, took the Titans to the playoffs three times in his six seasons there Before there were a variety of issues, mostly involving dynamics within the building that led to him being fired a year ago. So we will see exactly when the Patriots get him in the building. I would anticipate that would be sometime this week for an interview, though that's also a guy they know extremely well. If they want Mike Rabel, fair to say, they've got all the information that they would possibly need. Another name to watch for both these openings is Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who I am told will the interview this week virtually during Detroit's by with the Patriots and the Bears. Now this is significant because Johnson over the past couple of years has been a hot candidate too. Two years ago, he could add the Panthers job the side of the night before he wasn't going to get on the plane. Last year, he was a top candidate for the Commanders before ultimately deciding it wasn't the right fit for him. The fact that he is proceeding with these interviews is an indication of his interest and intrigue with both of these positions. We also had several coordinator changes across the NFL on Monday, including the Bengals firing lou On Arumo, who had been one of Zach Taylor's original staff members in Cincinnati. My sense of this was this was a situation where both sides probably knew that it was time for a change. I would anticipate that an Arumo is a hot candidate for some of the other defensive coordinator jobs that are open. This is a really good year if you're trying to hire a defensive coordinator, because think about the head coaches that were let go over the past several months. Robert Slack could land somewhere as a decordinator. Matt Eberflus, Dennis Allen one other name I would keep an eye on, particularly in Cincinnati Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham. His contract, actually, Jamie expired after the season. That makes him a free agent and could be a fit for the Bengals.
Yeah, Tom, it's me Peter. Jamie went to go do a quick wardrobe change, but I'll say thank you for that update. Interesting to note. Interesting to note Ben Johnson no slip from the Jets. It looks like that interview might not be happening this week.
From what I'm gathering, I don't anticipate the Jets being a strong player, and the Ben Johnson sweepstakes always possible that he could end up in there later. They got a long list of people you mentioned, Peter, Rex Ryan first up for them this morning. That's going to be a tough act to follow for everybody else, especially if you're on zoom through the course of these interviews. But they've got a lot of former head coaches on that list. We know the Jets coming off of having a first time GM and a first time head coach. That experience may be of high value for one or both those positions. So Matt Naggy is on their interview list, Brian Flores is on their interview list. It's gonna be really interesting to see exactly how the Jets navigate this. But they got a full dance card with the coaches who are still unemployed by teams, whether they're on a buy this week or their teams are out. Those are virtual only interviews.

I want to jump into Yeah, Tom, I have a question just as a fan, but I'll put it in a wheelhouse for you.
The Rex Ryan thing.
How viable is this? How serious is this? Great memories of him? Of course, it's been a long time. He's been a broadcaster for years. He goes back to his old team. I know we've seen it with Joe Gibbs and we've seen it with John Gruden. Is this a serious thing as far as the Jets are concerned?
I would say this, Kyle, the Jets want to get a lot of people in front of Woody Johnson. They want people from different backgrounds, different experience levels, go through a real process here, because last time around, Woody Johnson was not a part of that process. And really this is the first time Woody Johnson has been a part of the process under the current iteration of the hiring guidelines and the Rooney Rule. So this is the first time you're doing really a broad search in quite some time in New York, specifically on Rex Ryan. I do think it is a real candidate with regard to this. Can Rex Ryan convince Woody Johnson that, hey, let's kick it back to the good old days fifteen years ago we were going to AFC championship games with Mark Sanchez. We were playing great defense, we were reading to preds. The real question, the real question for teams to sort through with Rex Ryan or anybody who's been out for close to a decade as he has, is is he up to speed on football. I know that he's on another network talking about football every day, but there's a difference between that and actually designing a deep that's designing a program knowing what the current trends are and schemes within the league. That's why Mike Tannebaum, who knows Rex very well, as well as Rick Spielman, are in these interviews. My understanding has been they're the ones who are kind of grilling the candidates on the football items. Woody Johnson is in all these meetings, heimiel Hall the team presidents in all these meetings, But it's really Rick and Mike, two football guys. We're asking the football questions and with Rex you might get some really interesting answers.
Yeah.
Look, there's a lot of love in that room between Mike, Woody and Rex. They had a lot of good times. They sell our fond feelings. We'll see how the interview goes, but of course he's just one of what you said, Tom might end up being a dozen head coach interviews for the New York Jets.

All right, a couple of things on this week eighteen. Even at this four months, I always pay attention to the play by play guy's voices because it's an incredible display of endurance to get there to still be at full voice for that good of a clip. Personal note, very short experience for me in the broadcast booth. Did play by play for preseason Bears games. I did the last game when there used to be a whole bunch of them. The person who did all the preseason games before me was Adam Amen, and when he found out that I was taking over for the last game, reached out to me, would you like to use my board anything you need whatsoever. Didn't know him, had never met him. Unbelievably generous and professional. You won't find anybody who people think higher of than Adam.
I mean, he's amazing guy. Great dude.
Does the Bulls broadcast well, big fan of Adam and Mark Sanchez excellent call in that game as well. And now the Commanders are red hot and they go into Tampa this week.
They certainly do, and we go into We're not supposed to play favorites. This is probably our favorite category and it's best enthusiasm for a big man. Chris Fowler, Dannerlatsky and Lewis Riddick got the treat and the joy of watching Raven's defensive tackle Michael Pierce making an interception.
We all got to watch it at home. They got to actually be on the call, and they nailed it. Read it, go.

There's this excitement, no little bit of disappointment about why did we were about to have an all time moment?
And I think that was perfect.
Yet We've had a million moments where the big man goes ten steps and then gets tackled.
Yeah, this one. The fact that he just succumbs to it and goes it's fantastic.
And I love that they shout out Marcus Spear, they got the inside the family, and Hey, who's the biggest player ever, Kyle the biggest player ever to score a touchdown?
The biggest big man touchdowns? You know who it is?
I would say it's either Keith Trailer or Ted Washington, Okay, or is it Sam Adams?

The heaviest player on record to ever have an interception, not a big man touch on interception is Ted Washington three hundred and seventy five.

And I think Peter brings up a good point or Lavsky he throws back to his studio show, always do that if your bread is buttered typically in these shows, and then you get to go in the booth. Always throw it back. Jason mccordy's done it, Ard All does it? Or adult and bur Liston's done it. I respect that, Orlovsky and I'm sure that Swagu respected it too.
Yes, Hello, you know what's next? Peter off another ESPN moment, off Scar of the Rails moment. Troickman and Joe Buck were having fun on a Saturday night and when the heaters were hot, Troickman was hotter.

All right, we're looking at Larry Platte, who is a former I mean, this is fifteen years ago American Idol contestant who sang about seeing people out and about young people whose pants would be on the ground, and the song went pants on the ground, pants on the ground, Looking like a fool with your pants on the ground. Now, Peter, I'll tie it back in and I guarantee this is why Joe Bucker remembers it. The Brett Favre Minnesota Vikings were a thing at this time, and after they would win the game, they would go in the locker room like the locker room speech, and Farv.

To do the pants on the ground thing, and he screamed it.
And this is because of Larry Platt or reject didn't win or anything, but he became one of these like William Hung viral people before virals even a term for pants on the ground.

Now for our best interview moment. This is one of the coolest things we saw in Week eighteen. Pam Ahler Oliver is in her thirtieth season as a sideline reporter for Fox. She has interviewed everybody from Troy Aikman to Joe Montana to today's stars and beyond. In her thirtieth season, she got to interview a quarterback who won a game it might be his last regular season game of all time. And this was really neat for all of the broadcast enthusiasts out there.
Cool moment in football history.

I mean, it's an you think about Rogers in his career and all the postgame interviews that he's done. Obviously he's done amazing features with Aaron Andrews, and we've seen.
It countless times before.
But I don't know, just I'm getting emotional and sentimental because we love football and.

I think it's cool that Rogers' career seems like it's going on for a century and it's not even close to as long as Pam Oliver. Now, like Pam Oliver's doing this for a decade before Rogers got even drafted out of cow But I imagine how I mean, how many times has he been on Fox? How many times has he done a post game with Pam Oliver? One hundred and two one? I have no idea, but it is cool as if we we love the game, but we also love the media part of the game, and to see them two together. We're not gonna sit here crying. But it's a really cool thing and we really respect it, so respect.

Well, we just finished two hundred and seventy two regular season games and we head to the playoffs, and in a silo, you can imagine moments of the season, the Hail Mary between the Commanders and the Bears. You can remnder Thanksgiving Day and some of the great conquests that we had there with the Lions holding off against the Bears at the end of that. There's a million games that we can discuss. Yet five still don't make sense to me. Five still do not make sense.
Here here are the.
Five head scratching outcomes from the twenty to twenty four regular season that you might have forgotten.
Who would have totally changed a playoff picture. They gone differently.
Number five, guys, The second worst team in the NFL was the Cleveland Browns this season. They beat the Baltimore Ravens. Week eight, the Ravens fell to the Browns in a game that still makes no sense.
It was a game that Derrick Henry did score.
Early in this one, but the Jameis Winston led Browns just threw all over the Baltimore Ravens. Guys, that's the Tillman for a thirty eight yard touchdown.
At the end of the game. The Ravens had a chance. Lamar says, go deep people, he pumps, he threw it.
He had a chance and Zick Flowers fell down and the Browns beat the Ravens.
Think about the Browns have the number two pick in the draft. They beat it. That happened.
That might be the difference between the Browns having a lower pick or who knows, the Ravens.
Maybe haven't in a different way that they have the playoffs and maybe the two seed. Number four on my list.
Week four, the La Rams at the time, who were a one to two team, went to Chicago and lost to the Bear.
The Rams lost to the Bears this season. It happened, guys. This is week four. We go back and what the Dj Moore touchdown in the back here. You know, I feel like I forgot about that. This happened.
DeAndre Swift went and scampered for forty five yards as the Shane Waldron led Bears offense just absolutely dominated. The Rams did not have any red zone success. And then this was the big play here minute three left to go. Javon Britsker intercepts Matt Stafford. The Bears were four and two. The Bears they were four and two team.
They beat the Rams.
They beat the division champion Rams. We didn't have to play in week eighteam because they.
Know this happened. Yes, this is why the NFL is such an amazing league. That happened. And guys, we talked about the Ravens in week three, here we go, come we go. Here, we got it. They beat the bill right, they had this great air They beat the Cowboys.
In week two, the Ravens lost at home to the Raiders.
What this was.
That's a road game that happened on our shore.
Week there was a Sunday one o'clock start, and the Raiders came in there and Gardner Minshew and the Raiders walked right into the M and T bank and threw the Duvante Adams form big plays and brock Bauers had a big day. The Raiders beat the Ravens in twenty twenty four. This happened the last play of the game. This comes after you know, lamar out here, here's the lateral.
To Justice Hill and he runs around and Justice Hill through. Oh my gosh, Devanta Adams exhausted after the game. They beat the Ravens.
A couple of weeks later, Devanta Adams would walk into Tom Telesco's almost to be like I have to be traded, and he got his wish and went to the Jets.
That happened too. Number three on our list and number two on our list. I'm sorry. Maybe the most bizarre outcomeing. If it goes differently, the Seahawks might be in the playoffs.
In Week five, the New York Giants went up to the Pacific Northwest and the New Yorkiants beat the Seahawks in Seattle.
The New York Giants, who who had.
One win at home ball season also had a win at Loomen Field.
It's head scratching, but it happened.
And had this game gone differently, the Seahawks a team who had a four game winning streak late in the season, Maybe the Seahawks are not only in the playoffs.
Maybe the Seahawks are the division champions.
And last week they would have been playing for a lot more than just draft stock and where their draft position would be.
Giants came in there. They got to go ahead field goal late.
They returned this putt block for a touchdown the Giants or a field goat block for the Giants.
Simmons bought the field bawl. Yeah, that was it. They had siventh They returned it for a touch was a great moment. They were alive the Giants. They had beaten the Browns, they had beaten the Seahawks on the road. The Giants were alive.
The Giants beat the Seahawks in a game this season. But the biggest head scratching law of the entire twenty twenty fourth season came on Week one, where the Joe Burrow Jamar Chase Bengals lost at home to the JIROD. Mayo coached Jacobi Burssett led Patriots. The Bengals opened the season up with a loss to New England. That still is a head scratching.
Outcome even today. Had the Bengals won this game, they're probably playing in January.
Had the Bengals won this game, they probably would have had a completely different trajectory on the season. The Patriots flip until last week, were basically the number one peck in the worst team in football.
Beat the Bengals on the road in their building, and.
Then everybody's survivor pool, and then everybody it's over.
And this was after a lot of head scratching about the move to go to Mayo over offseason.
And it was like, no, look, draw Mayo that running hills this summer. Gerrod Mayo had not. Gerrod Mayo is no longer a coach in the NFL.
He's going to be a coordinator, maybe at linebackers coach somewhere else. And the Bengals are at home that's still eighteen weeks later, is the most head scratching outcome of any regular season game this season.
The Bengals at home lost to the Patriots. There's my list confusing games.
Looking back on it now, it all happened before the halfway mark, but Kyle, I turned to you.

So the Bengals listen to the Patriots and Jacoby Brissett. Jacoby Brissett is now starring in commercials that are based cheer line the fact that he's a backup quarterback. He's an insurance. But he was starting that game, the last one and then I'll throw to la. I remember in the Ravens loss to the Raiders, there's this great micd up clip of Max Crosby on the Raiders' sideline going to Gardner Minshew and be like, hey, I want to see that Washington State gardener Mitsche. I want to see him, and he's like, I got you, man, And then he went out and beat Lamar Jackson. It was a stunning loss. I still can't believe that happened. I forgot that Davante was on the Raiders this year.
Year. That thing is way in the past. What do you guys in l I feel like, you.
Know, I'm looking at that number one, you know, the season opener the Bengals and the Patriots. I don't think any of us had a lot of high hopes for the Patriots, and I thought that would set the temple. You know, fast forward eighteen weeks later, girod Mal no longer the coach. You know, you would have thought that he would have been given another opportunity, especially when you think about the history you know of the Patriots with you know, Bill Parcells and Belichick, those guys they started off with five wins in their career and they were given another opportunity. So anyways, you know, you think the Bengals, they're pretty good team, and that was a strong win opening win, but it wasn't enough for girod Mail. But yeah, that was shocking when you think about it.
I look at some of those bad teams in the NFL and I and I envisioned them like Quicksand in the movie where somebody steps in and you're like.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, you start to sink.
Like the Giants jumped up and they grabbed the Seahawks' leg and they pulled them into the quicksand and they could could knock it out of the clutches. The Rams were luckier than that. They lost to the Bears in Week four, but they were still able to emerge victors in the postseason. The fact that the Ravens are on there twice for two really brutal losses and we're talking about them hopefully winning in January is pretty remarkable. Peter, great list as always.
