Good morn.

Welcome to Good Morning Football. We are live here in Los Angeles. We are presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky. Those are our friends with the Old Trap. It's a Tuesday, Week three. We have put it to bed, but that doesn't mean we're done talking about it. I'm Jamie her at all. This is Michael Robinson, that is Peter Schreger. That is Kyle Brant wearing an angry run shirt. Monday Night Football. My goodness. If you thought you were going to be gifted two amazing games, well, if you were a Bills fan, it was amazing. And if you were a fan of football and the great story, then Jade and Daniels. The biggest smile on everyone's face is watching this unfold last night.

Kyle, I think it was let's go right now to Cincinnati, Ohio. This was an excellent, incredibly entertaining football game. I mean, this is why we watch no punts to two husband winners.

The Bengals are zero and three.

The Commanders feel like an entirely new organization last night, and it's an amazing win and a great night thirty eight thirty three. This is why you watch football. The Buffalo Jacksonville game was horrible. This one was amazing.

And let's hear from a star is born Pater. I think so Jaden Daniels take it away.

It's great, not just FROMI for the whole team. The work that we put in training camp be able to pay off. Obviously that's how we didn't want to start the season like that, but we kept working, kept growing, and keep you proving each and every week third game in.

The NFL that level of success. Does any of this surprise you?

I mean yeah, yes and no, yes, because obviously it's some new to me as I could joining my rookie year will also just knowing the aspect No. I put in the work and was done in the dark whilways coming to light. So I just know I'm prepared for these moments week in and week out. I'm just gotta go out there and play football.

I s q and that they did an incredible game, but also a two game stretch for this Commander's offense, one in which they have scored if you don't count kneel downs on every single drive that they have gone down the field. That is a command of an offense that you unforeseen from a rookie quarterback many times before. Peter, There's a lot to unpack from this game, but many could define it as a signature win for a new quarterback.

A star is born, and that is what I would say. This is on national television and a hostile environment against a team that was absolutely desperate for a win, against one of the best defensive coordinators in the league in lou Anarumo, and the twenty three year old Jayden Daniels, in his third game as a player, set a rookie record for single game complete percent ninety one percent. He completed his passes, and he led Washington to scores on every single one of his drives, not including the kneel down, and oh the best part, no turnovers. He was magnificent, but beyond that, he was fearless. Let's go right to the fourth quarter. Here they're holding on to a five point lead, and Cliff Kingsbury says, we're going forward fourth and four. A fourth and four play, very will sends the dogs and he finds zach Ertz all right, So they have a couple more plays and it's third and seven.

And let me set this up for you.

It's third and seven and they call time out here because they're a mess, and it's like, all right, they're gonna either kick the field goal or they're gonna punt or whatever. Kingsbury sends them back out there and on third and seven with a five point lead.

When you're a rookie quarterback in a.

Hostile environment against a desperate team, in a desperate situation, to do this is absolutely amazing. Troy Aikman, Joe Buck as stunned as everyone was.

Check it out.

They needed seven, they got plenty more.

There's some confusion going on in the huddle right now. I mean they're not getting the personnel that they want. They're up against the clock. Not what you want. Jade Daniels just has to know that he cannot take a sack. They can't get McCaffrey. They've only got ten guys on the field.

They're down in seven. This one is launched for McLaurin.

He's goutt it. Touch down.

It's insane.

And listen per next Gen Stats, which we love, that touchdown pass had a ten percent chance, a ten percent.

Likelihood of happening. And guess what they scored it.

It's the least likely touchdown of the entire season based on next Gen stats.

Ten men on the field, Confusion everywhere.

Luke McCaffrey looking like this, like where do I go?

Where do I go? Rookies all over.

The field, and Jaden Daniels just throws a beautiful dime. The Commanders are two and one, Jamie, Like you said, they have not punted in two games. They are rolling, and a star is born. And I cannot wait to see the commander's next to me because guess what. Cliff Kingsbury, who's their offensive coordinator, guess where he's going talking about it. He's going down to Arizona to face Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. That should be an interesting one. Suddenly we've got a game Commander's Cardinals. Who would have thought that back in August.

I'm here for it.

Amazing, amazing performance by Jaden Daniels.

Yeah, amazing performance by jayde Dames. But Peter, when you say a star is born, I think the Star Wars. A star was born on this kid's birthday. I was trying to look at his birthday real quick. I couldn't get you. But and it came to me real quick. But to your point, a lot of football people, I believe, if you've been watching Jaydon Daniels on film, understood that this kid is legit, and I believe he could be the first true runner with runner instincts. You talk about that fearlessness that you were talking about, Peter, along with being the first true passer. That that combination, especially that we've seen in modern football. He can beat you from the pocket, he can beat you with his legs, and I believe through the first three or four weeks he's put on tape that he will he.

Will run the football.

And so when you put that on tape, defenses, when the ball is hyped, they freeze. They have to stop because they don't know if this kid is gonna take off. Remember, guys, when the quarterback is a runner, when the quarterback has real running ability, that now turns the game into eleven on eleven football. Now that safety in the middle of the field, he now becomes a live defender because he has to be able to keep eyes.

On the quarterback.

Now you go back to what was he twenty three for twenty five?

I mean, I couldn't believe it. That shocktail that shocked me.

I was on a plane last night. Guy's full disclosure, Okay, and I didn't know. I didn't see every single play of this game, but to see the final stats to see he only missed two passes.

That let me see that.

Let me see.

That showed me that because of his running ability, it left one on one outside, It left one on one to his guys, and this guy was just playing pitch and catch most of the game. I do have a little bit concern, especially with that last drive with him yelling to the sideline and if you can read his lips, get.

The play in. I need to play.

I need to play, And it just seems like this kid process is really really fast.

And I remember seeing another quarterback.

Yelling at Cliff Kingsbury was Kyler a few years ago. And I think Cliff needs to you know, I don't know whether he needs to catch up with this kid as far as from a processing.

Standpoint, but this kid is in the mold. This kid is in the moment.

And I think they want they got to give this kid a little bit more because I think he can handle a little bit more. Fifty five starts in college, that's like the old brand of quarterback and when guys used to stay five years and play in their last two years, He's seen a lot, He's done a lot. He's going to continue to grow and get better in the National Football League.

This is normally n TV when I have to push back or poke holes, I don't have guys, that's not what we do here. I'm not going to inauthentically say yeah, but hold on.

It was awesome. It was intoxicating to watch.

It was really surreal just to step aside from the Jayden Daniels factor, just to look at the Commander's factor, looking at that logo on the bottom of the screen. I mean, in a lot of ways, that was the best night the Commanders have had, like as an organization since the rebrand. And I know and then in my life that you know recently they were in the playoffs Heineke and Ron Rivera, and they've done some things here and there. I mean, I'm going back to like the Redskins of my childhood when it was that magical on a night, because I don't consider Taylor heineke sneaky playoff run the same as this. This is a guy they drafted to be the Prince who was promised to be the future the franchise. They have a new coach, they have new logos, they have new this, and it's like this was everything we were promised. We were told, under like the dark haze of the Dan Snyder regime, that we would have nights like this, and then it's started. We're like, this feels like the same old Commanders or football team. It was so fresh, it was so fun. The Jane Daniels thing is the stats are obviously amazing.

It is so exciting to watch him. His body language is positive.

And it's athletic, and his face lights up at the right times and then locks in at the right times.

And after the game.

He's got this this poetic quote about what's done in darkness. It's like it's all coming up hits. It's a playlist with just all bangers. Yeah he can run, Yes he can do this. He's thrown to the offensive lineman. He's going deep to Terry McLaurin. Something we've been told for years, Terry McLaurin.

Is that guy. It's just a quarterback.

We're like, all right, well we're waiting, and then he looks like that guy looks like a true star. Receiver because he has this quarterback. I don't think the Bengals are the world beaters, but I'm not going to do the thing about level of competition. I don't care about the Cardinals game next week. I want to just have this hot moment for Washington, for that team, for that fan base who's.

Been through a lot of crap, a lot, you know, and I think it's underrated.

We've joked for years about Lions fans and Browns fans, and they've been through it.

Commanders fans have.

Seen some really bad football, and I'm talking about whether what they were called at the time, this was a special night, a special win, and what looks like a very special player. This is why you're a football fan, just to enjoy this. This is why you put in all those years.

I have no.

Skepticism, nothing to say cynical at all. That was an incredible night, and I agree with Peter's words. It felt like a star war.

You know. I'm not gonna lie.

When I look at Week three Monday Night Football slate and I see two games, I get a little stress. Like Monday night football is an institution. I want to watch one game. I want to put a bow on my week. But think the scheduling gods that we had two games last night. Because you start watching the Jaguars Bills games are like this, ain't it?

This, ain't it tonight?

You switch over to the Bengals commanders and you settle in and all of a sudden, you got people matching energies. You got Jaden Daniels who is going up and down the field. Dan Quinn, even though he's a defensive coach, the way he matches Jaden Daniels' intensity on the sideline. We're in the headset. He's flipping the mouthpiece up and down. He's yelling at guys. I loved watching that, but I love that Jadon Daniels. Look at this thrill out of Terry McLaurin, our friend of the show, Jim Naggy. Jim Naggy tweets No one deserved Jaden Daniels more than Terry McLaurin. Terry McLaurin has been through it. What a professional. He has never said once the fact that how many more quarterbacks do I have to catch passes from? And he catches what feels like every single ball that gets thrown his way. But that one you have to imagine Terry McLaurin had dreams of passes being thrown to him like that. Whether or not they were in the corner of the end zone remains to be seen. But what we saw last night out of Terry mcclorin and the connection that he had with Jayden Daniels was incredible.

Peter, I end it with this.

Cam Taylor Britt is a really fun character in the league. But man, he had some things to say last week in the middle of the week about Cliff Kingsbury and this offense that he's running, and they called it simple and they're keeping things simple.

For Jayden Daniels.

Jaden Daniels matched the energy that Cam Taylor Britt brought last night, and he said, I'll keep it simple, right up and down the field, and I'll beat the Bengals on their home field.

I thought it was incredible.

It was He called it a college offense, and if that's a college offense, I'll take that college any day. I think what's interesting here is that you see that stat they haven't punted since Week one, and you say, oh wow, No, it's this aggressive nature that they're pedal is to the metal and that there are fourth and fours that there are fourth and sixes they're going for. There are fourth and ones that are easy field goals, and they're like, no, let's go for it.

It's all been working out for them.

And I love the fact that they took this rookie quarterback and instead of putting him in a shell or in a bubble and saying, all right, just dink and dunk and do it, Cliff Kingsbury is like, go and be you. Let's try to take some shots, let's be aggressive. And his fearlessness has matched it. The stage does not look too big for Jayden Daniels. I can't say that about all the other rookie quarterbacks in the league.

We've said this.

There were no punts, no turnovers the entire game, first time since at least nineteen forty. I think the four of us should aspire right now to have a show with no punts, no turnovers, no fumbels, whatever.

This is a perfect show from right now. I think we can do it.

Let's go.

All right, let's go to Western New York.

The Jaguars kind of did forty.

Seven to ten.

We got like a lot of mac jones last night.

Oh I'll put him in Mac Jones has a great.

History in that stadium too.

Forty seven to ten, the Bills.

Three and zero annihilation, we're calling it there.

We go one game at time.

You don't when you don't win a Super Bowl, get into playoffs with three games. And I think this team understands that. Like I said, we'll watch this film and put this behind us as quickly as we can. And you know, like I said, we have a really good team that we're going into and you know, we gotta be ready.

All right, it's time for a wake up call, presented by Verizon. Forty seven to ten. When you see a final score like that, it lends itself to a bit of a different segment. It's a bit of a different way to look at this conversation between the Bills.

And the Jaguars.

So, since it was such a lopsided affair, and frankly, we were just going to go around the table and opine about how great the Bills are, let's just translate it a little differently for everybody at home and at the table here. Pick a song, Pick your favorite song on your album, something you're listening to right now. If this game was a song, what would that song be and who wants to go first?

Oh me? I guess is me? Okay, let me go write this down all right?

Quick breakdown forty your final.

Forty seven to ten.

With my camera on my single There we Go.

They not like Us by Kendrick Lamar.

Yes, they not like us? You know what's all I'm talking about? Right?

Yeah, at about to do the halftime show. I'm sure that's all gonna be everywhere.

Oh my god.

The Buffalo Bills put the whole AFC to AFC East and Rodgers and all of them with the New York just they put everybody on notice with this win.

Again.

When a bazooka and I'm talking about Josh Allen that right on that big strong ride on QB one and hold damn National Football League. And I know Patrick Mahomes is here too, Yes, I do know that when you give a bazookah, a defense and.

A run game with ran for one hundred and twenty two yards.

And a play caller that's not putting.

It all on Josh Allen. I'm telling you that's what you get.

You get dominating college victories like Bill's.

Maffi is staying all the way up like they did last night.

Yeah, Mikes, rumor is that Kendrick is gonna bring out drink and we're gonna have a big hug in the middle of a History halftime show.

No, okay, okay, So I just I like peace. I like peace. Okay, here we go.

I'm going back to the eighties because that's where I live. And it's don't you in parentheses forget about Me?

By Simple Minds.

You know the Breakfast Club, you know it all. Don't you forget about me? That's the Bills. We talked so much about the Chiefs. We go and do flips yesterday, like and they're just unpeople.

That's simple Minds. They're still doing it. We even have like.

Stock music that sounds dismal mind ish, but don't you forget about me? I think we go back to the summer and we as a show and everyone did flips about the Jets getting Rogers and how good they looked. And I know that wasn't necessarily us, but the Dolphins were the team that everyone was crowning once they gave.

Tua his big deal Buffalo Bills. Don't you forget about us?

We've been there too, and I think, don't you Forget about Me as Josh Allen's song in particular.

Before you show the pictures for mine, because I don't want it to people to roll their eyes and change the channel, because I know this artist ilices this. I just want to show you the lyrics just because I want to make sure you understand. I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time. I rose up from the dead. I got a list of names, and yours is in red underline. That's the bills, Taylor Swift. Look what you made me do? Look at what you guys went around and made the bills do. But listen, now, listen. This is off of reputation. Reputation is the next album that she should be re recording and re releasing. It's like everyone else in the AFC. Is the studio album she has already redone. This is the sixth one waiting for the bills. We don't know when this is gonna drop, but they have a list and there is a name in red underline, Kyle, that they are focused on. They're going to take him down.

I like it. I can't duplicate it, though, Jamie.

I can't write the lyrics to my song because they are very very naughty and very dark. This is a terrible, terrifying, awful, violent game.

And I have a song the Matt Schet you let me descrate.

It's not nice, guys, there's nine nice nails as closer. I mean, that isn't even the tip of the iceberg of the things they're talking about in that song. And that was the equivalent of what the Bills did to the zombie Jaguars who showed up sort of and then left. Do you know that the Bills in the first half had five touchdowns by five different players. The symmetry is absolutely sickening. In the music video for Closer, there's these moments where it says frame missing, and it's like they had to take the image out because it was too bad. Some of those plays should have just been taken out. It was a start to finish. You will not see them more lopsided football game. And you have a Super Bowl winning head coach and a nine figure quarterback who showed up. It's not some some some somebody even just push over Josh Allen.

Right now. They are the most impressive three and zero team.

I'm taking it away from the Vikings after yesterday, the Vikings look great. The Bills look like I've never seen them. Look this Jaguars look like an animal. They did, Peter, what happened to that animal?

Only appropriate line Kyle could say from the song was you let me desecraate you.

It's very alarming. It's very alarming, ob gerrated to let me complicate you.

Bob game on the line, Bosha, give Barkley up the middle.

Touchdown, Eagels take the.

Lead, Perch takes it, goes back to Barkley and he scores for twos.

He took three point lead. What a time this would be for an interception.

Cal Back car steps up hit as he fires the football and.

It is intercepond.

It is in my leek blackandship. It t a sup that my right blaodship and the Eagles are on a pull off for the opposite a while ending a huge win. And guys, now we are really really excited to have one of the.

Best football players in the world, one of the most real dudes in the world. We love them, you knowing we got them from the Philadelphia Eagles.

Quon Barkley, what's up, Saquan?

What's up? Boss? How you doing? It's so good to see you.

We're so excited to have you. Thank you for joining us, man, and we have so many things to talk to you about.

You have this wild off season and then week one is in South America, and Week two is this frustrating Indian and the week three is glorious, Like you've just been all over the place.

How's it been for you emotionally? Just the last few weeks especially.

It's been great. The season been great, the team's been great.

Truly honored and blessed to be part of the Philadelphia Eagles organization.

But I've just been kind of something I've been focused on.

This year is not getting too focus on the results and just worrying about the process and doing all the little things right.

And you know that's why you have.

A frustrating loss a week before disappointing loss drop for like, I let the team down. But the way I was able to handle that the process throughout the week and not get too worried about the drop, was able to put that behind me real quick and you know, come up big when when my team needed most.

Take us behind the scenes, Saquon because Monday was a game, and then all week it felt like the longest short week in the history of football, all the chatter out of Philly, and yet you guys come out there and not only do you score the game winning touchdown, you get the two point conversion. Take us to the days leading up and what Nick Sirianni was telling you guys, and then what that locker room was like afterwards when you came out of there with.

A w Yeah.

I mean, I think, you know, being part of Philly now starting to learn, you know, when you lose here, it's a big deal. But you know, obviously not really focusing on the adversity didn't really feel like it was adversities early in the season.

A lot of teams aren't figuring stuff out. You know, you really don't.

Want to be the hottest team the first four weeks of the season, to be honest. Obviously you want to win every game, but just come to work every single day, even though after that loss, just believe in each other. And we had to do that during the game and showed up. You know, we especially in the office side of the ball, we didn't come out and you know, played the level that we need to play. Our defense had our back and we all had each other back, and I think that was a big win for us, just to show that, you know, as long as we put our mind to and we believe in each other, no matter what, we have the talent.

We just got to go out there and execute in them. When we do that, where our team stop.

Sikwan, I have to imagine you and Jalen Hurts have a ton in common. You come from these incredible families, these massive college football programs, so much expectation on you as players in the NFL. Adversity hits for both in your career thus far. What has it been like for you too, getting along, getting to know a Jalen Hurts and playing with him, going on the offense together in battle.

Yeah, it's been great, and it started.

OTA's starting the weight room, to be honest, and on the football field, going out there competing with each other, you know, pulling the best out of each other.

But one thing I've learned from.

Jalen I said this week, is you know, I don't know if I've ever been around someone more poison him.

And you know, I'm twenty seven years old.

I think I believe him older than him, and I'm learning from him just the way he carries himself. Every single day. The way he comes to work is something I'm trying to add to my game. And you know, I'll see It's It's an early start to the season, but I look forward to even grown, not just with him, but the rest of the offense.

Say say with something gone with that, I couldn't wait to get you on TV.

But going down, Man, Look I'm good.

I've been I've been here in safety a lot more recently. Now I'm back at PA once.

Man. You may know, man, you back at home.

Look, man, I want to ask you this, man, because you average over one hundred yards rushing. Man, you look like you're running with a little You got some spring in your legs. Bro, you had that long run last week. Are you a little pissed off?

Man?

You feel disrespected?

I wouldn't say disrespected, but definitely you know, motivated, let's say that, I'll use those words motivated.

And you need that.

You need stuff like that in your in your career to happen. And I know thee having player that I am, and i know what I'm able to bring and I'm just happy to be able to show that with this team. And you know, one of my favorite quotes that Nick has already said is you can't be great without the greatness of others.

And I have a lot of great guys around me in.

A great officer line, and you know, they make my job a lot easier. So I want to go out there and perform, not only for it to show people motivated that I'm still that guy.

I'm still you know, playing at a high level.

But those guys go out there every single day and block you know, I can't say the word the tails off for me.

So I'll going to go out there and performing at high love for those guys.

And you have been.

And when you mentioned greatness Saquon, I personally think of the neighborhood Nachos, Chipotle, Lime Chicken, and Apple Beats.

I'm not afraid of him at all. I'll get down on it.

I dig it, dude, you want greatness. The Eagles are wonderful. It's a wonderful organization. The neighborhood Nachos go hard. I'm into them completely. What can you tell us about the great folks at Applebeats? And you guys are doing content series like what's all this? And where can we see it?

Yeah, we're dropping content series weekly. You can get all that on Apple Socials. I didn't know where you were going.

With that one, but hey, that's the perfect I love that how you got, how you got apple Bee's involved.

But for me being back in Bensavan High School, I played, you know after every Friday, win will go to Applebee's. So it's been an honor and blessing to be working with Applebee's an official.

Grill and bar NFL sponsor.

And you know, fifty cents right now, bonus wings, you guys can go get that. I would say those are my favorite, the fifty cent bonus wing. And I'm also going to say the triple chocolate meltdown some of that I like to.

Adore to Yeah, when the chocolate melts, when it melts out of the dessert.

What's your favorite sauce?

What sauce do you put on those wings?

Taikwon Buffalo.

I'm playing class.

Yes, I'm easy, I don't I don't do too much, but Buffalo's my go to.

Now, you're an original, you got some kick to you and you are everybody's go to flavor when you got to run the ball or get some yardage. So I like the Buffalo, commit to it.

But you can hate the.

Bills if you went to that's cool, you got slimmed.

Let's jump to the fact.

That you want an award this week Nickelodeon's MVP. Your daughter got involved after your three touchdown performance. This is a couple of weeks ago when you it slimed. Are you thrilled to get a mid season award or is your daughter just pumped to put that green bucket of.

Juice on you?

Oh yeah, I mean I'm definitely thrilled for the reward, but I think it's my second time ever against slim and the Eagles asking me how I want to do it, and I was like, I'd rather not let grown men, you know, have me on a chair and it's so slim all over me.

Let me take this home and do it.

My daughter, so all the times that I'm on her and you know, try to get her to get her schoolwork done, she get a little paidback from me.

It's wild for us here on the show, Saquon, because we remember when your daughter was born, we celebrated that fact and you had it throughout the draft process and all that stuff, and it's like, yeah, man, it's it's amazing to see you now as this veteran player and you're going back to an old home rather soon to look at the schedule it's coming. Have you thought about that game in MetLife in October yet or is that way too far away for you to even focus?

Keep it real?

Yeah, I mean I talked to Dan Jones a lot, and you know I congratulated over the over the game this weekend, and you know I told him, you know Week seven is coming sooner than you think.

But that's all this, you know, funny game.

I really truly, I have no no hate, no no nothing in my heart over those guys.

I'm just I live in the moment.

I'm excited while I'm mad, I'm in I'm extremely blessed. I'm just a joint opportunity. So take it one day at a time. And I know that that that game is around the corner and it's gonna be talked about a lot. But you know when that when that comes up, I'll handle that week.

M and you always do. I mean, that had to be a wild summer. It was crazy for us to watch it.

There's a reality show based on your future of your career.

Man, what was it like? Did you did you tune in did you watch? What was that like for you at home?

I really I tune in one episode and I think it was episode three, because you know, social media, you really don't even have to go on and.

Social media gives you all the good stuff.

But there was like a clip and it was like, so I forgot with with Joe said or something like that, and I'm like, hold on, Like I had to like start remembering what I said during that conversation. But I've talked to Jail about it, you know, I talked to a lot of these guys over there about it. It was fun for me, like to see it because I think prtn's did a really good job. I think, like if you're looking from a fan fan point of view, like it's the whole, the whole thing, like just seeing how off season operates and how all that stuff goes down. I think it was pretty cool. But yeah, you know, it's it's part of its, part of it, part of it, it's part of the games, part of business, and it is what it is.

He's going to try to drop two hundred. I met life and you know what, respect you're the best man.

We genuinely have love for you, all of us since you're one of the good guys in the league.

Yeah, and you're eating good in the neighborhood. Everybody check out. Applebeats is content serious and it's really cool. You came on saque.

Thank you, guys. Take care of guys.
