Good Morning Football.

Welcome to Good Morning Football, brought to you by Old Trapper Beef Jerky. We are live in Los Angeles and New York City on this Monday morning.

Happy to have you with us here.

I am Sherry Burris alongside Akbar, Boja b and Mill with a fresh shave, Isaiah stand back rock in the sweet Seattle crack and shirt. They're in New York City. Peter Schrager and Kyle Brant. You guys are also dressed fresh. The real winner from this weekend is Kyle who got Akbar to shave his beard because the Steelers wont.

If you missed this last Friday, Achbar said, Oh, the Commanders will win. The Commanders will meet the Steelers, which is your right. Fine, I'm glad you did it. I said another, they won't and then Ackbar just started popping off at the mouth and said, I will shave my mustache and go tee if the Commanders lose. And sure enough, now he finally shaved, and then we'll see this hour if he gets his first kiss because.

They almost won. Though they almost won.

Yes, Lockbar Lockbar is gonna ask someone to the Sadie Hawkins dance later, so we will be here for that.

This is incredible lifetime.

All right, let's get to the highlights. I'm gonna keep singing Firehouse.

We had Kevin Harland on this one. He was humming bone Knicks played freaking this game.

The Broncos would lead the Chiefs at halftime by eleven.

Put what will they go?

Because at fourth and goal they decided to go for it and they get the touchdown to Kelsey. This was one where you knew on third down they were gonna go for it on fourth down.

They didn't get it on third, They do get it on fourth and.

They cut it to a one score game going into the second half.

Third and six.

Sorry, Bo Nicks looking across his.

Body on it, pleads it like so Broncos are going to win this game. They're going to beat the hated Chiefs. They did it last year in a game they're gonna do it against this year. Outcomes will luck longtime Saints kicker with Pagan.

Listen to Orleans.

We talked about the Lions in the first hour.

Sometimes magical things happen for magical teams.

Uh, terrible execution by them. What were they doing on that field goal?

They have now won fifteen straight games. My homes looking go for a little ride.

Here all the way to New Orleans.

Probably Chiefs sixteen to fourteen.

Both coaches spoke after the game.

The game told the story, and.

You know for a de endlight that I haven't been around a lot of those walk off blocks. You know, you enjoy every one of these the best you possibly can, because it's tough in this league. The parody in this league is ridiculous.

We knew it was going to be a game that went into the fourth quarter for us to win, and it really played out exactly you know how we wanted it to, like exactly with the ball, with the clock, with complete control of everything. We just couldn't finish it.

So everything was perfect until the ending.

The Chiefs, though, they are the first team in.

NFL history to start nine and oh with eight eight comeback wins, Peter, how do they continue to do? This is just proof they're just living right in Kansas City.

Right.

Eventually, you just got to chalk it up to good karma, karma or like you're the best team in football and best team in football often wins.

This is historic stuff.

What they're doing.

You just mentioned a really cool stat they're nine to oh, but eight of those whims have been come from behind.

Can I go one step further please?

They have now won a franchise record fifteen straight games, including the playoffs. Their last loss was Christmas Day the Raiders, when eight and O'Connell and the Raiders beat them in front of a nationally televised off audience. The longest win streak by any team since the twenty ten twenty eleven Packers. And if you go one step further, they are the fifth reigning Super Bowl champion ever to start nine to zero in their next season.

I think that they've win in all sorts of ways.

And this was one that we would have come in on a Monday morning and said, you know what, Broncos got the best of them. It was a close game, both defenses played well, and bo knicks they weren't gonna let it happen. The block field goal, it's an oddity. We very rarely see a walk off block field goal, but of course if a team's gonna do it, it's the Kansas City Chiefs.

Historic fashion.

What they're doing right now, they are a team that it finds a way. Is not even like fair. It's eight straight comeback wins. I mean eight comeback wins in nine games. They don't blow you out. They don't do it with offense.

They do it with.

Defense, special teams, and guile.

I know it's not pretty.

And I know it's not the seven Patriots where they're putting up fifty points every game. It's not even the twenty nineteen Chiefs. It's the twenty twenty four Chiefs. And I'll tell you what, it is a pleasure to watch if you really cannot appreciate greatness.

And I watched this game and I'm just going like, what's my takeaway. I'm just trying to, you know, figure it out. You know, you look at all the different numbers. You see that, you know seven of their nine wins were within one score. These games have been pretty close, but yet they find a way. And it actually just took me back to, you know, growing up in a big family. I'm number six of seven. I had a bunch of brothers, just one sister, a bunch of brothers, and I remember I'm the biggest of all of my brothers, standing in at six.

Six right now.

And I remember when I started to grow, you couldn't tell me nothing. I'm like, you know what, I'm going for the crown. I'm going to take my big brother out. Yes, this is finally it. And on a flu day, he's sick, he's not feeling good. We get into a wrestling match and no matter how hard I try, even when he's at forty fifty percent, he still beats me up. And I'm like, dang, I can't get a win for nothing. That's what the That's what the the Kansas City Chiefs are like right now. They're like the big brother that nobody in the NFL can take down, even when they aren't playing well. Like their special team came up big on that one Leo Chanell, like the big time kick or block for that kick. But on special teams, if the defense ain't doing it, special teams kick keeps up. If special teams ain't doing the offense sometimes find a way, Patrick Mahomes making things work. I don't know how to explain this craziness, but the can't Citty Chiefs are just dang all good when they're bad, if that even makes sense.

Peter, you said it all man, This is the best team in football. And we can argue about it in terms of their stat lines, we can talk about how they're going about winning, we can talk about how they've had to come back eight times out of their nine games to come back and win the ball games. But the end of the day, you have to come to the conclusion that this is the best team in football because we know that this is one of the most dynamic offenses when they're clicking. But even when they're not clicking, this team is still winning ball games. Spags had one down quarter. He allowed these guys to score two touchdowns in one quarter. And if you're going to go to a game where you say, hey, I'm gonna hold the Chiefs the one touchdown, one scoring touchdown, and the rest of their points gonna be field goals, you.

Feel real good about it, right, you don't feel really good? You gonna be Yeah, you gotta feel real good.

You you're gonna feel as if you're gonna have a chance to win that game. And you did have a chance to win that game, but you didn't finish, right, And the whole thing about this league is you have to finish. You gotta put teams away and the Chiefs just keep hanging around.

Hats off to them. Respect.

I don't know how to keep doing it, but they are definitely doing it weekend and week out.

It's my favorite Chiefs team of the Mahomes era. I love these guys. It's a fascinating, fascinating team. Sixteen point sloppy game, and Peter's right, the take was already there. They were bound to lose eventually. The Broncos not good to lose a ca Now you got it out of the way, out of.

The way, you can get better and cheers to the Broncos. They're like, nah, I think we'll just block the field goal.

It's amusing to me because there's something generational about this where the Chiefs are good for old heads. Hear me out, Like everything now is packaged and entertainment.

To be fast, flashy, quick, you have to have.

An explosion in the first two minutes, or a fight scene or a love scene.

We have to keep the young viewers' attention.

Or they're just gonna look at their phone. The Chiefs don't do any of that craft. It's incredible. It's slow, it's not interesting. You don't get the Tyreek Hill bomb. You don't get the crazy Kelsey highlight. You're not getting the Nolak pass. It's kind of boring, it's kind of clunky, but in the end.

It still works.

Like you you can't make Jaws right now, you can't.

Make Alien Red. It's too slow. I'm gonna look at my phone and my tablet.

The Chiefs are this crazy, slow paced like art house movie. It's a phantom thread, you know what I mean. It's not fast and the Furious. They've done those Patient, the English patient and Ray Fines is just crafting the storyline.

And I like that that they're not saying score sco scoes Coors score.

We play something called defense. We make sneaky plays here to move the chains. We don't blow up the box score. We don't win your fantasy league. We don't show up in all the highlights. We just show up in the win column. It's like a movie that makes no money and no one gives a crap about, but somehow, when the oscars are there, there's Andy Reid with the Best Picture trophy. Again. I like it. It's for the old heads. It's not for you kids. They've done versions that are and it's all candy and sugar and pop rocks and all that crap.

This is slow. It's a slow burned Chiefs team, and I love it. Yeah, kind of like a purist.

I think like it's like a one nothing baseball game, right, You're like, I wanted more, but it was just such good sportsmanship.

I love it.

Yeah.

Let's hit some news from around the league from an NFL Network insider, Ian Rappaport. Looking particularly at quarterbacks this time around, we might see some new faces tell us more.

Well, we'll start with one of the old faces. All due respect to Dak Prescott. Dak Prescott is headed to New York this morning for what should be a very consequential day. Here's the situation, and of course, miss yesterday's game as he is going to miss the nest next several games with a hamstring injury and avulsion a hamstring torn off the bone.

He has been.

Meeting with specialists, He has been sending his scans all across the country. Now going to meet in person with one of the nation's specialists in New York to determine is he going to go the rest and rehab route, which is about six to eight weeks going to be out for the season essentially regardless barring some short of miracle or is he going to have surgery to repair this evulsion and then going to be out three months but have a full recovery for twenty twenty five.

It does seem like he's leading to surgery.

It seems like that's the most likely, but the firm decision coming today. Meanwhile, for the New York Giants, of course, taking a tough, tough l in Germany yesterday, all eyes are on Daniel Jones and some people wondered if Brian dabol is going to benu you after the first half said he never considered it.

There was a little bit of a comeback.

Ultimately another loss, a two to eight record for the Giants. We know by now Daniel Jones has the twenty three million dollars guaranteed for injury next year. Dave All said they're evaluating everything, but is this the time they making quarterback decision? Obviously more in that today and then going into their bye week. And then for the Indianapolis coach, they made a major quarterback decision a couple of weeks ago, benching someone who they thought was going to be their franchise quarterback, and Anthony Richardson. Since those two games, Joe Flacco two losses, seven sacks.

Six giveaways, seventy two passer rating. Yikes.

Jane Steiken said, until I say otherwise, he is still the starter.

All right, Well, looks like there might have been some tough decisions there in Indianapolis and New York, but maybe not.

I we appreciate it.

Now.

We have tough decisions for our own Peter Schrager, because there are so many candidates for just one prestigious.

Aboard Coach of the Week.

That's coming up, Darren Rizzy, you get coach of the week.

You might have. We're gonna do it here. Coach of the.

Week, Which coach or coordinator was the best?

On Sunday we got.

A head coach down Arizona Peters doing some pretty increas.

Come on now, JG. Kyler Murray looks fantastic. You can say, oh, it's the Jets. I don't know.

The Jets got some really talented players and the Cardinals hot knife through butter in the desert. Great highlights coming from the Cardinals first place team.

Guys.

JMFB on a Monday, can't beat it.

Good mon football.

Christian McCaffrey's back, and it really did happen. He played, he contributed, He was very good in spots. This was a fun game, heated competitive. The Bucks really needed it to stay alive. And we have Shake Moody, what.

A day and no, and then there's this, this unbelievable strange thing. Jake Moody can't make a feel going Deebo.

Samuel goes over and punches the long snapper in the face on the sideline. Is he gonna be suspended by Shanahan for that? Where are we gonna go with this? What an embarrassing look, terrible tearum.

Niner special team Skyle. Yeah, you're right here, the expert, Yes, you know it.

Twenty to seventeen maybe my favorite play of the season other than the saque backwards jump Baker Mayfel and Nick Bosa, who have a very deep history and none of it is warm.

I'm not sure what Posa was doing. He was probably afraid to get penalized, but just tackle him.

Remember at Tampa's lost a bunch of games in a row. They really need it.

But no. On twenty twenty, they take the field goal.

Rock Purty looking downfield and looks and he's.

Got it.

Tick tick tick tick that he's.

The time out for some ten Bakers standing by it.

Now, listen, they've been so bad making field goals that the star wide receiver punched the long snapper. Did they make it? They do, of course, guys, the Niners make it. Maybe Deebo sam will say, see.

I woke them up, I helped them.

I don't know that's a major story we should talk about there any.

Gave him a game bowl who Moody after the game in the locker.

And not Debo?

All right?

So does Deebo go and find the special teams unit and be like, my bad, I was completely out of the line.

That was embarrassing. Thanks for winning the game.

No, he goes and does this podcast?

Okay, because where's Deebo stats on it? I don't see him here.

I see Juwan Jennings had ninety three yards and he didn't punch anybody on his team.

Twenty three to twenty. We'll listen out on the debot pot.

I'm sure Jake Moody's game winning field goal sideline on this case with Tebo Samuel where the topic of conversation after the game, just like we hoped.

I knew he was going to hit it. Just who he is and what he's done for us. We've literally seen him, you know, hit some really big kicks in his career, and obviously I practice and stuff. We've seen what he's capable of, and so for him to be in that moment, you know, obviously I knew that he's the kind of guy that would learn from this kind of mistakes and when it mattered most finish, and that's what he did.

Like I wouldn't say nothing like crazy to him.

I was just you know, kind of flustrating in the time, but you know, he went out, didn't won the game before is and you know he wasn't bothered by it.

So you know, we move past him.

Guys frustrated and something probably happened and brothers scuffle a little bit. I didn't see any of this, so I don't know how bad it was, but something I'm not too worried about. We'll fix it that it hasn't been fixed already. We'll fix it on the plane and we'll go back to loving each other tomorrow, all right.

So we know the Rams played tonight.

They've got a Monday night game against the Dolphins, but if you're waking up this morning, the Arizona Cardinals have a half game lead over the forty nine Ers. They also beat the Niners, so they have the tie break there. Seahawks, of course the only under five hundred team.

Cardinals also tune in the division.

So NFC West really interesting right now with the Cards and Niners both getting big wins yesterday.

Yeah, and we've been keeping an eye on the NFC West because up to this point in week ten they were a very interesting division, only decided by one game seemingly, but now the cream kind of rising to the top with those two big wins for the Cardinals and the Niners. Peter, what are your takeaways from the fact that those two teams are coming away with wins.

I thought the forty nine Ers showed a lot of guts and a lot of pride on the road there that could have been a bad loss, and that was one of those where Baker would not quit, and Baker kept his team alive and the Buccaneers just kept on fighting. But Brock Purdy was awesome yesterday, and it's lost in all the headlines, and we know what happened. If everyone else around the league and your fantasy team. This and that party through for three point fifty three and two touchdowns, had one hundred and nineteen point three passer rating. That was his first game ever in his career where he threw for three fifty or more and zero interceptions. He's he's got these guys right, all these weapons, and we hold it against them. He's got all these well, McCaffrey was big, Kittle was huge, but Juwan Jennings third and Juwan was everywhere he needed to be. And I still believe in this forty nine Ers team. I know the vibes were off this summer with all the holdouts with Ayyuk, and I know that Trent Williams wasn't at camp, but I know I Yuke's hurt and McCaffrey's been hurt.

Fresh Slate, they're right there.

They're five and four.

The Rams have a tough schedule up ahead that Cardinals haven't been there before the Niners have.

And brock Perty has been good this season. He was excellent yesterday.

And brock Perty is the guy that I think is going to be the key if this team is able to get back to the title game and back to the Super Bowl because We're watching the Lions out there in Detroit.

And they look like a locomotive.

Forty nine ers still have the experience that have been their time and time and time again.

Yeah, they do. They have that experience. But I'm a little concerned for the for the San Francisco forty nine ers. I look at the NFC West and I think it's probably one of the best divisions when you think about, like just looking at the scenario here and for the forty nine ers, like, because they're in the NFC, it is going to be extremely difficult for them to make the playoffs if they don't win the NFC West because when you look at all of the division leaders, obviously you think about the Eagles, Detroit, Atlanta, Arizona at this point, look at the Wildcar Space, the Commanders, the Vikings, Green Bay. I don't see if they don't win this NFC West, I don't think any other team is coming out of the NFC West. So they need to really trail behind the Cardinals right there. And obviously when they meet them at the end of the season, they've got to win that one.

That's going to be a big one.

But they've got a tough schedule, They've got the lines on the schedule, They've got obviously the rams within their division that they're gonna have to compete against. It's gonna be interesting to see if the forty nine ers, can you really secure this spot in the West.

Yeah, I'm not too concerned about the forty nine ers.

You talk about the forty nine ers, I feel like their stock.

Is on the rise.

We all know what the heck Shanahan is capable of. We know what this team has been over the recent years. They're always in the conversation, they're always in the playoffs, and now this is one of the years that they face the most adversity than they ever have. I mean that half their dog on star, all their stars were hurt. You think about Jennings was hurt, Kittles were hurt, McCaffrey was hurt, Deebo was hurt.

All those guys were hurt.

Brock Perdy's been the only stable piece that they've had, and now they have some rickey named Ricky Piersow and he just happened to overcome some things this summer as well, in which he was he obviously took a bullet and he found his way back to the roster, and now he's showing up in a big way. So when you look at Shanahan and how he's trying to get all these all these pieces on the same board, these guys are now just figuring out how to work all these pieces together. And one thing we know, there's no question mark of whether or not it's going to happen. It's just when is it going to happen. When are these guys gonna start hitting on all cylinders? This is gonna be one of the most dangerous teams, especially the mc west.

I have to stand up and show respect for one of my new favorite forty nine Ers, Tabor Pepper. Tabor Pepper is the long snapper for the forty nine Ers. He's been in the league and around the league since Stebo Samuel was in college. And in the middle of a really tough game for the forty nine ers young kicker, he stepped in and got in front of the star wide receiver and said, don't talk to the kicker. The deal is this, Tabard Pepper is the long snapper. He's the guy who as he was with the kicker on the sideline, Deebo went over and punched called a punch called a.

Throat shove whatever.

And Taborar Pepper is also six four, two fifty and he's the guy walking after Deebo as Deebo's walking away and walking away, and walking away and walking away.

Here's the debrief on those guys.

They couldn't make a kick. He's frustrated. I get he's a talented player. He goes over and decides he wants to say something.

To the kicker.

He says, I wasn't saying anything to Pepper, but he came over trying to be big bruh, which is exactly what.

He was trying to do.

Pepper and meanwhile says, quote, he was telling the kicker to lock in. We know what our job is. We got us. It's hard being a specialist, and a young developing specialist like Jake is the best mental exercise you can have is I don't know if it gets better than missing three straight having a step in it hit almost fifty yard game winner. So I'm proud of Jake. It's an embarrassing look for Deebo. Samuel, every single person on the forty nine ers offense and defense and coaching staff was frustrated with the kicker. You go over and you chirp them something, but come on, make it. I liked that the long snappers stepped in and stick the hell out here.

We got us.

Long Snappers are put upon, kickers are put upon the star wide receivers, the star wide receiver.

I love that table and Pepperson get the hell out of here, get it. We got this.

And I know they've been bad, but the fact that they actually stood up for themselves and followed him and said, what do it again? Do it again? Kind of gets me fired up. I stand up for that long snapper.

I like that guy. I like that guy a lot as well.

You talk about Pepper throws on Pepper on that thing, because he definitely stood up for his guy.

He was the big bread.

Salt at on that thing.

Best special teams unit.

There's three guys that run around, right, There's three guys. There's a long snapper, there's a there's a field goal kicker, and there's a dog on punter. Those three guys they're part of the team, but a majority of the time they're kind of separate, so they are their own little unit. So when you come over there messing with one of our bros. In that group, get the heck up out of here. That is bush league by Deebo Samuels. You can't go out there and do that. You can't go out there and embarrass one of your guys. And then if you're gonna be bold enough to put your hands on somebody, don't walk away. Don't walk away once the score two fifty comes after you. Respect to Pepper, respect that entire unit. He went out there and they finished the way that they need.

And I'll also add this too that you know, especially like the psychology of kickers as well, like that that specialist group right there, like they can easily be frazzled, and so like you have to let them process in a totally different way than you have the other guys on the team. So I think for you know, Deebo, and he's admitted it, but he stepped out of line, way out of line. But shout out to you, Kyle for giving that love to Pepper, because that's what you're supposed to do. Like, like, you don't mess with this dude. He's untouchable because amongst the specialists, like that's the quarterback. You can't come over there to talk to him like that because he can make or break a game, so you can't mess with him like that.

September nineteenth, twenty twenty four, I was looking through my emails. I got a press release and in the press release, the press release, this is er September Deebo Samuel latest NFL started dive into the podcast biz. All right, so you know what, Debo, bring on Moody, bring on Pepper. Let's have an episode. If you want to be podcasts, you want to be authentic, you want.

To do it, Let's make some waves here. Fess up, talk with these guys, and let's bear all.

If you're going to have a podcast, let's actually address these things.

I like this. That's it.

That's my challenge to Debo. We're just here on the couch talking about you guys. You have those guys and can get them on the couch, talk to them. Let's have it out and we'll talk about it after on the show.

Oh wow, Yeah, I like this.

I wanted more from the locker room from Deebo.

I feel like that needs a little bit deeper dive there.

Buffalo at Indianapolis, Peter the last time the Bills.

Won in Indy. Who is the Bill's quarterback.

Trent Edwards prays cast it was Doug flute Wow, is that cool?

Doug Flutie one? And then Josh Allen. He did throw a couple of picks in this one, but he did the superhero thing at the end.

The Bill's going to win thirty to twenty guys, they're eight and two.

Guess who's next? Kansas City? Come on, we'll talk about it all week.

I saw this is It's one of those where one hundred percent of the country is getting Bill's Chiefs next perfect get ready for Nanson Romo and at four o'clock out, one hundred percent of the country.

Bill's Chiefs next week. And we got Jaguars versus Vikings. Here.

Sam Donald was not pretty in this game, interceptions, mistakes in the red zone, and yet the Vikings defense bailed him out.

Here's O'Connell talking with Donald.

The question is like, is that the pumpkin deal with Cinderella like we had the first five weeks, and we're getting the old Sam Donald. He has not been great, and yet they continue to win a weird twelve to seven victory. Right now and then Chargers played the Titans.

A one hundred percent of the country.

One hundred percent of the country's getting some Tracy Wolfson.

Next week.

Let's go for the thirteen to ten Chargers and Titans. We'll love to showt up through some touchdowns in this one.

The Titans just don't have it. Two and seven. Guys, start paying attention to the Chargers. They're gonna be in the playoffs. They're six and three.

Maybe they play that Saturday playoff game against the Texans.

Peter Chargers, Texas. Sounds right? Think that sounds about right?

Yeah, I hope all right, Well, we did see a lot of great ball this weekend, so it's time to give out our game balls plays players that really stood out of bar A handoff to you first, were you taking us?

Yeah, you know, I'm gonna take this one to the San Francisco forty nine Ers game. I want to give a special shout out to Ricky Pearsol of course wide receiver. We all know what he went through this during the sea or the offseason. Yeah, in the preseason, and for him to go out there and you know, have four receptions seventy three yards and a touchdown against the Buccaneers to get the win. That was the first touchdown of his career, but also the very first touchdown of this game for the forty nine ers.

He set them off right.

They get the big win and they are in the fight right now to get into the playoffs. So good job for Ricky pearsol Way to come back and knot ball victim to what happened.

Yeah, Ricky piers All an awesome story.

I'll give you another one.

How about a potential future Hall of Famer being completely written off by the entire NFL except for one team saying come on board here and at four and two being inserted into the lineup as a starter when another guy.

Was doing just fine.

I'm giving Russell Wilson my game ball, and it's for the above. The next stuff that is a Sean McVay term above the neck. Here we go, fourth quarter. All the Commanders had to do was get a stop and they get the ball back. But there was someone so savvy, so experienced, such a veteran move by Russell Wilson draws a rookie.

Newton off sides.

There is it's above the neck, and there's Russ pointing to his coach, Mike Tomlin says, we got it.

That's it. We feel for Newton this morning. You're a young player. You're gonna have better days. That happens. But Russell Wilson with that.

Little dance afterwards.

The Steelers of all teams, are in the jockey position right now, first place at the AFC North.

Kudos to them. Russell Wilson gets my game.

Ball Ever see Russell dance.

Listen up too often in this league when guys get extensions, typically they kind of fade to the back.

Back.

On November six, there was a gentleman who signed a four year, thirty three million dollar extension.

Did he fade to the back? No, no, no, no no. He affirmed their decision, Tub Herbert.

He went out there and bought out twenty eight Russia's one hundred and fifty three yards in a touchdown. This is how you reward your players with their contracts, and this is how they affirm your decision to give them the bag. He went out there and just hit them with the McNasty. You hit him with the brakes right there. He bought out and the Carolina Panthers are in good hands going.

Into the future. Not this year, but he took with him in his backfield. We talk in future.

It was pretty cool to see him. He was awesome, really really put on the show in that early game. My MVP, my game ball, whatever you want.

To call it.

There's so many great players around the league, but there's one that really stands out to me. My game ball goes to Table Peppery, long.

Snapper for the forty nine ers.

You might think they had some special teams proms.

Not him.

That's him on the left stepping in for his kicker as the star wide receiver shoves him in the throat, and then Tab War Pepper walks after him chirps him as Deebo continues to walk away, all six four and fifty pounds of the long snapper, saying, don't come over and talk to my kicker. Let me tell you some debo last year when Brock Perdy threw four interceptions against the Ravens.

You don't see the specialists going over and chirping the quarterback. If we did, you'd be right to stand up for him.

We got us. You mind your business, You do what you gotta do. We have a young kicker who's having a really tough day. The last thing he needs you coming over chirping him. I love Tab War Pepper. He's a veteran in this league. He's a Michigan State man. He's a family man.

He is a strong, true San Francisco forty nine er family.

Yeah, I like it. Mary's got They believe he has a child. Whatever it is. I'll tell you what. There's a lot of great players in the league. There's a lot of great famous players. But sometimes you have to do what's right, even if it's difficult. And a lot of guys.

If Deebo Samuel comes over and gets me, oh, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.

Get them bleep out of here. We got us. You handle you. Specialists are very put upon all the time.

They get a lot, but a lot of jokes. Don't mess with those specialists. Sometimes they've had it up to hear they will mess with you. Back table and Pepper, I've never been more excited to get again. I don't care if Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Tabor Pepper. Look at the name on the bottom of the screen, Tabor Pepper.

Don't start nothing, or he'll finish it. Pepper brings a saw. You hear what I'm saying.

Yeah, yeah, he brings the salt I think what you did there. And I also like the fact that you know, you think of Deebo Samuel, you think of this guy right here with table Pepper and he's like, you know what, you don't want this smoke, and you see Deebo actually walking off.

He never like he just kept walking. He didn't want that smoke from him.

Hey, you're talking about all we can go back, But Kyle looking at how many times Deebo Samuel looked over his shoulder after he shoved him, and he looked back over his shoulder about seven times.

He was like, is he coming? I got your boy? Yes?

Right, Oh oh he's still he still found He still don't want that.

He still found it. Wait wait, I'm buying everybody. I'm over here by everybody. Now now what now?

What?

Now? I can get up here? Yeah, let me tell you something. Objects and mirror are closer than they appear. I don't get who that was. That could have been.

That could have been Trent Williams Chirp and the kicker. Tablear Pepper is gonna set a big Trent He's going after me. It could be anybody, And I love that guy. That's my favorite forty nine er right now. Sorry, George Kittle, You're done. It's Tabor Pepper, that's my guy.

I was also trying to read Pepper's lips to try to see what he was saying.

Udn't you have it?

Our game balls for week ten month goes to Alvin Kamara, coach also gave him one.

But here you have it our game balls for a week, good.

Foot moll all right.

Each week on the show, I gave a Coach of the Week award.

And this coach of the week is not always just a head coach.

Sometimes it could be a coordinator, it could be an assistant. Today's coach of the Week award is going to Dave Tobe in Kansas City.

Who is Dave Tobe?

Dave Tobe is the longtime special teams coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs and with a fourteen game.

Winning streak on the line, Dave Tobe, that guy who is jackle finds a way to get his guys and Leo chanal the big blocked field goal to keep the streak alive.

Tobe, of course, has been in Kansas City since twenty thirteen.

He was with Chicago.

One of the guys who Devin Hester spoke about at length during his Hall of Fame induction. But I want to give Dave Tobe the full experience. So here's Kevin Harlan on the call for CBS thirty five.

Yard a champ from the far half box, waiting for the snap.

Placement is down, Let's just kick us blood. Let's blocked. It's blocked. The chess block the tack. They're gonna stay undefitted.

The Kansas City chase plucked tony five yark field goal a tap dan Zos City.

Wins this game on a pluck field goal.

So Tob was with Andy Reid back in two thousand and one to two thousand and three, goes.

To Chicago, where he was their special.

Team's ace for eight years, interviews for head coaching jobs, doesn't get one, and now is the special teams coordinator in Kansas City where their unit with Matta Rait such as bombing punts every week and Harrison Bucker bombing kicks, and now Leo Shanal and that defensive unit on the field goal blocking the field goal.

Everything's working for Kansas City.

Dave Tobe, we see you at omar Ruiz, We see you out.

In La is a toad one of my favorite coaches have talked to you before, working at Kansas City Chiefs game during Super Bowl Week.

Always has a big.

Crowd around him. Good to see him getting some love there, Peter, and we're all fans of NFL Game Day on Sunday mornings, and now we have another reason to watch Shorty one a thug bottles in the club.

It was announced Sunday that Grammy Award winning and multi platinum artists Lil Wade, Akay, Lil Tunci, Dwayne Michael Carter Junior will be joining NFL Game Day Morning as a weekly guest beginning next Sunday, November seventeenth. The iconic Wrapper will peer every Sunday throughout the rest of the season alongside Rich Eisen, Kurt Warner, Steve Merriucci, and Gerald McCoy.

How about that? I can't wait to see that on Sunday. And as an official NFL Salute to Service sponsor, lows is partnering with Team Building Nation to honor our Nation's heroes by building approximately five hundred wheelchairs to donate to veterans in need through nonprofit partners. The Lowe's Home team players will spend some of their time assembling these wheelchairs with the help of Low's Red Best Associates and Team Building Nation.

Well it's signed now for head Scotcher's moments. That really, what, Peter, what where do you take us?

My favorite player in the league might be Dio o'dangbo in Indianapolis. Who is Dio o'dangbo. This is a guy who never quits. Let's go to the fourth quarter. Bill's winning by two scores. Watch number fifty four here, Dio o' dangbo. Let's watch the play again.

Here, Look at Dio. You're gonna see it. One.

Two, he's going for the ball and swearing's going for the ball.

Dio, just give it all.

He's got to try to knock that ball loose.

Dio o' dangbo. We see you. Good effort.

I know it looks like you're trying to punch players in the face.

You're going for the ball, you know, punch it not happening.

Tdy Johnson wasn't letting go of that one.

That's what's up.

Hey, I'm gonna take you guys to the Land of the Terrible Towels where they get the towels and.

They start turning them things around in the air. Let's talk. It's like a got it real quick. It's just two terrible towns.

We are in Pittsburgh, right, No, we're not in Pittsburgh. We are in Washington, commander Land. Why the heck does it look like a home game for Pittsburgh.

I don't know. Maybe as that t J.

Watt due Either way, it's a bad look whenever you're at home and it looks like you're at a wait.

Yeah, they should have confiscated them towles. They should not have let them things up.

I thought it was It felt like they were in pickscarg truns On.

All right, I got a head scratcher. I've got a head scratcher. This one right here was hilarious. Yesterday.

Of course we saw the Texans.

But there's a guy by the name of Titus Howard, offensive lineman for the Houston Texas going up against the Lions. And I've never seen an offensive lineman ever get.

A strip sack before, but he striped.

Sacks his own quarterback.

C J.

Stroun right here was like give me that, Paul, come in, come in, take.

The man fumbles and then he recovers it, Like what in the world are we doing right here now? I mean at this point it was third it was third down, it was fourth quarter, that was a situation they were ahead. This changed the landscape of the game right here to run the ball.

Yeah. I don't know what he was doing, but.

That was I got a head scratcher here of Like, is this the worst idea ever showed me? This Cowboys fan in the middle of a game yesterday when they have all kinds of quarterback issues going all.

Right, then they go to rum on the booth. He starts stretching out.

Here's my question, after Brady, what current quarterback color analysts would have the best shot of going in and winning the game. So after Brady, you got I guess, Eli, you can kind of count Mark Sanchez, Romo Green R.

Warner, Phil Okay, I still think it's Romo. So that's that's that's my guess. But anybody else can off.

Scratcher really fast.

We got to give off for another shout out because what is this
