Good Morning Football, Great morning to talk about football. We are presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky live in La. It's Monday, the final Monday in September. This is Peter Schrager back at the table for a few days. Isaiah stand back here as well. Kyle Brandt in New York. I'm Jamie at all. Akwar Baja Biamilla is in the desert taking care of his American Ninja ward duties. We'll have him back next week. There's two games Monday night. That would be this evening to put a ball on week four. But Peter, if there was a game that you were in person for that.

I attended, I attended.

Let's go to Chiefs Chargers.

Justin Herbert comes in with that high ankle injury. But you know what, No Joe Walt, no Rashaun Slatter is still going to play for she Rice, who makes an incredible play strip the ball. It would be a serious knee injury. He would leave on a stretcher. We'll have more on this. Ian Rappaport has been glued to the phone and will give us updates as it comes, because Rice has been outstanding the season.

Ten nothing nearn a hole on the road, and the Chiefs find a way.

The entire Chiefs sideline is excited.

They escaped this one.

Mahomes on the way out, a lot of Chiefs fans in the building.

I was there and a lot of Chiefs fans. Seventeen to ten. It's not always pretty, and sometimes a win is a win. And Patrick Mahomes address the media on the state of his team's offense after the game.

I think it's a matter of cleaning it up. I mean, I mean, we scored seventeen and we scored the twenties these last few weeks, and I feel like he's just a play here and there. It's the interception I to to Travis, I'll put on his body that gets a drive going. It's we have a fumble in the Reds on him in the first drive where we got some momentum going. And in this league, you're scoring upper twenties to lower thirties. That's that's good football, that's good offense. And so we're close. I mean, Coach Reed's saying, we keep preaching in I know some Chiefs fans are probably annoyed by it, but that's all you can do in this is keep pushing and pushing to get better, and I think it's going to pay off in the end.

In Raperport joining us now, the Chiefs escape September without dropping a game, but that does not mean that they have not piled up on the injury side of things. What's the update on Rashii Rice this morning?

In Yeah, life is going to get a lot harder on the offensive side of the ball, as if it wasn't already considering the injuries they have had. But another big one yesterday. Rashi Rice, their young star receiver who has emerged as one of the best young receivers one of the best playmakers in the NFL, is feared to have torn his ACL and is likely out for this season.

He's having an MRI today, but just to.

Be totally honest, there's not a lot of optimism going into an MRI. When any Reid talked to Tracy Wilson at halftime, he knew, he said, it's not good.

Brandy Reid, that is really really not good. They all knew.

Just a devastating circumstance and the fact that it ended up being just weirdly, Mahomes who hit the knee on the interception trying to make a play.

It just makes it somehow worse.

So she Rice feared to be gone for this season, plenty enough time to get ready for next season, but obviously which is a little bit of a silver lining, but certainly does not help. Now, consider guys, they have lost Hollywood Brown for at least the regular season. Probably comes back for the playoffs, but at least the regular season. They've lost Isaiah Pacheco. He is on injured reserve. He's dealing with a cracked fibula. It's tough going for the Kansas City Chiefs, who in the past have swung a trade if they needed to. Wouldn't be surprised if they at least explore this route as well.

I thank you.

Let us know if anything changes are as confirmed for Ashi Rice this morning. Listen, Patrick Walmes. He's really good, Peter, he's really good at home, he's good on the road, but he can't be so good that he doesn't have guys to throw it to anymore. I know you were in the building yesterday. They got the win, but this is really tough for them.

Really gots you in first, yeah, and shout out to Spags's defense. They's done that zero blitz and it's like Herbert was just under the rest the entire time. They came away with a victoractor being down ten nothing on the road in a place that was rock and early with the Charters fans like the Sea of Red just overcame it. That was my first hand experience there at SOFI.

Get out of this game, and you look at it. Ian mentioned it.

The running back one is out for the foreseeable future. The running back two, Clyde Edwards Hilaire, hasn't been there much, and.

Although he was activated, not a part of the offense.

You're not looking at Carson Steele, who unfortunately fumbled in the red zone and was not inserted back in the game to give him any carries. So it's samaj p Ryn and Kareem Hunt at running back. Your first two wide receivers are Rice in Hollywood Brown and now they're both out for the regular season and Travis Kelcey. Admittedly, I would tell you as a huge Chiefs observer, Kelsey isn't getting open like he used to, and he isn't putting up the same production as he used to So this really tests Andy Reid, but it also tests Brett Veach. You four to zero, you're in the cat bird seed. Do you say let's just take this thing one game at a time and try to eke out victories or do you take a big swing?

Is this where you try to go and acquire somebody?

We can go through the list of names the trade deadlines coming, I would say this, I don't think the Raiders would trade Devonte Adams to a division rival, so I think you could probably remove DeVante Adams. But if you start going through other teams and veteran wide receivers, we're either making a lot on a.

Team and their contracts are coming up.

I would think all would be on the table for Brett Veach and as Ian Rappaport said, they're known to be a team that will take a swing, and even if it's a guy that might be in the doghouse somewhere else, get to our squad and whether it's a Kadarius Tony in the past or whoever else they've brought, we'll bring in and we'll make the most of it and guess what, you'll probably walk away with a Lombardi Trophy. Fascinating how they handle the next few days because they are really down a bunch of men, and the guys who are supposed to step up Karee Hunt played way yesterday. Carson Steel fumbling like that can't be the answer, and it can't be in Andy's offense, who after a couple times have given you a shot, probably isn't going to go back to you every time.

Yeah, no, Pete, You're absolutely correct that you just went down a list of guys that they're now missing, and you cannot just rely on Andy Reid and his genius to go ahead and carry you throughout this season. I mean, your four games down, you're four and all, you're doing a great job. That's awesome, But to your point, you have to have some weapons. And I think that the kan City Chiefs not only have to be concerned about this year, but the years that come. You start talking about Rashie Rice and obviously the injury that he sustained and you know, obviously golct to him trying to come back and get healthy. Not only do they potentially lose him for the season, but you have to look towards the next season too, because of the off season incident that he had. Goodell comes down with his ruling after this year, he may not even be playing next year.

So you have to figure out exactly who you're.

Going to bring in that can not only impact this year, but can carry you out through the year. You brought up the trade aspect. I like a Marii Cooper. Marik Cooper doesn't look like he's happy necessarily out there in Cleveland. He's a beast, he's a dog. He's going out there taking care of business. But I think that's somebody that you have to bring You have to bring in a leader because everybody else is going to be support staff.

You talk about Xavier Worthy, who's a rookie.

You can lean on him, you can get him going in terms of the deep ball. But outside of him, you got Kelsey, got Noah Gray, Justin Watson, Juju Smith, Schuster, Symore who had.

Another drop last yesterday, Like yeah, I mean the cupboard is barren.

Yeah, and that core has forty receptions, you know, Rashi writes, the man that you just lost had twenty four. So you have to find somebody to not only fill that void, but can step.

Into that role in a big way.

Like I would call it every team.

I would.

I would say, you know, Giants, Jalen Hyatt available, Rams is.

Cooper Cup available?

Like, I would call every team and I would go down the list and say, okay, we're four and oh, but we can't be satisfied.

Bears.

Is keenan Allen available?

Kyle.

I know it's an alarmist set a four and oh team, but I have to think, you know, you look at that roster and it's a long season. I don't know if they can just win seventeen ten every week.

I don't know. And they may call every team and they may sign three guys, or they may sign nobody. They may just say let's go. We're the Chiefs, Wiga Mahomes and let's go. It's I feel really bad for Rashi, Rice and the Chiefs fans and everything. That's a terrible injury for Peter called them the best player on their offense this year, and he has been outside of Mahomes, and I have to say it is a fascinating dynamic as a Chiefs observer to watch this version of whatever we're get moving forward, this version of Mahomes guys just dropping and leaving and like, can.

You still do it?

Can you, like really old Kelsey and Justin Watson your way through this thing? Are you that good? Is the defense that good?

Totally?

It's a new chapter in this in this dynasty that I'm riveted by. I mean, it really feels like one of these John Wick sequels, where like now John Wick's gotta fight five hundred guys, like and he's still do it? Is he that good? Is Mahomes like John McClain walking around with glass in his feet and those shoes, and like it's just it's so difficult and yet like listen, Kareem Hunt had sixteen touches yesterday. He's a good player. He was just in the playoffs last year scoring touchdowns. He'll be good. But Checko will be back, and I just I'm still at this altar of Mahomes of like he'll find a way. It's we can't say this enough.

Guys.

He's four and oh they like they're right on schedule and they're He's saying in the post game, you know we're close, we're close. You're four, and oh you're undefeated. There's not a bunch of undefeated teams after tonight. There may be two.

That's it.

So like, yes, the signing would be splashy, and it would be practical and it would be prudent. And maybe Brett Veach pulls a rabbit out of his hat, or maybe either no one's interested or maybe they're just like, we will rally behind our wide receiver room and we will get this done. We have the quarterback. Kelsey's gonna have to do more, and they're gonna have to run more. But also their MVP right now, now that Rice is gone, their MVP is Pagnolo. Like the defense shuts things down in the second half, he shuts them down late. Chris Jones looks like him six years ago. They're set guys in terms of the total team. I understand and and the optics and the surface and fantasy and all that they need weapons. I get it, Or do they? They have the player of mass destruction who never loses anything. I'm more rive that I've been in a couple of years about I know why he was doing it with Tyreek and Prime Kelsey.

I get that.

Can he still do it? Because if he does it this year, we got to shut down the league.

Sounds like he kind of won them to try and like just try, don't bring anybody in I just want to see if you can. You're intrigued by this. Seventeen ten the final Chiefs win. But man, if anything is more emblematic of how Justin Herbert felt yesterday at the end of that game, it's him slamming that helmet into the bench again. Peter had that throwaway line in the highlight, which is like, the Chiefs don't lose in this division. They don't lose on the road in this division. It's happened one time in Mahomes's career, and Justin Herbert, despite all the injuries that the Chargers were dealing with ahead of this game, you have to imagine this quarterback is like, wait a second, could we pull this off? Could we just tally one? Because if you're a Chargers team, or if you're Justin Herbert or Harba, you need that single thing to click this season, to hunt for the gear when your gears fall off the bike and you get it, you jost a little bit and it clicks in and then the pedals feel good again. Like that's what the Chargers have been waiting for, and a win against the Chiefs in the division could have been that. Instead, you give up a cough up a win at home easily could have tallied that when they had so many opportunities, and you see kind of an unforeseen amount of emotion out of Herbert's slamming that helmet for the best.

Ten nothing him mcconki are unguardable, and then the whole thing just went off the rails and it was like they got really conservative.

And then all of a sudden on.

Fourth and one, they're doing that pass play and it didn't work out. I'm gonna give credit to the Chiefs defense, but yeah, whatever happened to the Chargers after that first quarter, I don't know it. Not at all familiar with what they looked like in coming out where they came out hot and we're just like on fire to start the game.

There were a few unbeaten teams that came into yesterday. We're gonna check in on them with the rest of our highlights here on Good Morning Football. A very familiar foe came off the bench and handed the Steelers their first loss of the season. Joe Flacco, Seriously, how many teams are you gonna play for? Come in and play hero ball for them. It's the Flacco Colts version yesterday.

We got highlights next.

I just want all of the Flacco.

I want all of it next year.

Another flaccossance all right, plus rough rough game for the Jets yesterday, a ten to nine home loss in the rain and the muck and the disgusting day at New Jersey. We're gonna hit it all of it. Rogers' highly memorable moment there.

We're gonna talk about him.

We're gonna talk about the Broncos in some way or another.

Right after this, good mon football, guys.

We get one play from Bengals Panthers, but it's my favorite play of the weekend, the one. This is the coolest highlight in my opinion. In a seven to seven second quarter game, Joe Burrow finds Jamar Chase, who says, boom, boom, one more boom and he's gone. And he's gone, guys. This is why Jamar Chase wants a new contract. This is why he can be of a little bit of a headache sometimes because he is electric. And he throws the ball to Jimmy Chase's father, who Peter and I met at the Super Bowl and we love Jimmy Chase.

Run of the show.

Yes, I give you a three play between Steelers and Nicolet Smike Tomlin trying to get his team to four and oh see if Anthony Richardson can stop that this ball is a keeper fumbles and he's injured on the play. That's the quarterback. Anthony Richardson now found out that it was a hit pointer. He could have gone back in the game, but he didn't. You know why, because we have Joe Flacco, the thirty nine year old, coming off the bench to try to take care of thanks for the Colts. Flacco wins it. He's thrown two touchdowns in that game. Coltsman at twenty seven to twenty four, and they play spoiler to the start of the Steelers season.

Let's go to Jersey, oh Rain soak New Jersey Jets to get the opportunity to win the game.

Everyone's making fifty sixty yarders in the league.

In the weathers Zeroline.

Goes wide right, Jets lose.

Jets lose. More importantly, Broncos win.

Rogers at the image of the weekend and just SLINKs back in his chair and endry that long flight to London ten to nine.

Broncos beat the Jets.

In a wet one and an absolutely disgusting performance from Gang Green.

It was a disgusting day.

It looked like at MetLife. Peter, you were here in La I'm sure you were thrilled. Do have been at Sofi Stadium and not MetLife yesterday?

Yeah?

I felt oddly vindicated. I had a weird feeling on this one.

A lot of Jets love after the win over the Patriots, a lot of hype, especially on this show, especially from this fucking head, and it just felt weird. Sean Payton, there's a trip coming to London that they're probably looking at. This is what I said last week on the show, and I had a weird, sick feeling in my belly.

Awesome.

If you're a Jets player or a team, do not overlook this team. I know the trip to London's coming, and I know you're still feeling yourself in that Thursday night game. But Rogers was big on this. How do you handle some positivity? How do you handle some success? Because I assure you this, Sean Payton and those Broncos are feeling pretty good after beating Tampa and they spent the week in West Virginia at the Greenbrier getting ready in there like on one of these road trips US against the world type deals. Yeah, it's a one o'clock start. It's not easy for a West coast team, but they've been on the East Coast all week preparing for this. Do not overlook the Broncos Jets fans, and do not overlook the Broncos Jets players.

Peter, how there are you?

I don't know if they overlooked them. I'm just saying the truth of matters.

We'll go around the horn and Kyle, I'm sure you know, has a take too from the New York market, But like, you're not going to win games with ten penalty No, you're not gonna win games.

And you can't move the ball. Bres Hall is on a milk carton somewhere.

He's missing. I have no idea where he is in this offense. And then when they get to the goal line, it's not Breis Hall. It's not Braylon Allen, who's been you know this bulldozer. They go to Brees Hall and he can't get over it. And then of course zerline misses a kick in the rain because they couldn't get a little bit closer. Really frustrating, and as I was so hyped about the Jets after that Thursday night, when I'm still hyped, I still think the Jets can do this.

But gosh, that's a real, real, real.

Dip low into the valley after a real high peak for excitement for those fans.

Yeah, you start talking about the Jets and their lack of production at this point, you really don't know what they are, you know, I don't think they really have an identity at this point in time. I think they're looking to a Ron to be out there to be their savior. And if you want him to be your savior, then to your point, Breess Hall, you got to start towing that rock, this this new reconstructed offensive line. You gotta protect Aaron Rodgers cannot run. Not only is he older, right, he's coming up the Achilles injury. You can't give up ten sacks on the season. You can't let this dude be under pressure this entire time he is out there. You mentioned John Wick earlier, KB, this is who I haul John Wick. This dude can he can dice up any defense if you get this man time. But as long as he has pressure on his back, as long as he ends up on his back as much as he did yesterday. Then these guys don't stand a chance. No run game plus pressure equals losses for the Jets. They have to figure that out. But if they can, he'll be able to go out there and help these guys win some ball games.

Yeah, I mean they with the parade from that last game against the Page's over now, they really really need to win against maybe the best team in football and a different content. That should be easy. I have to let everybody know, as the only person on the show who was in the New York, New Jersey area yesterday, because Peter was traveling in the afternoon, I was here. It was disgusting outside yesterday. It was one of the worst days I have seen since I've moved here nine years ago. It wasn't just wet and gross, it was like it wasn't even cold.

It was that like hot wet.

It was just absolutely disgusting. I didn't want to step out my front door to pick up my wife's Amazon package, just like I was like, Eh, it was gross. It was a hot, disgusting wetness out there that I think greatly impacted the game. It's not an excuse, of course, the Broncos had to play in the same disgusting, hot, wetness that they don't even live in, and then rookie quarterback through a touchdown, whereas the four time MVP did not, but it would have been bad enough to just the game goes terrible and you lose to the Broncos at home there in lives. Then afterwards there was a media moment. Okay, so the Jets, if you didn't see the game, had a ton of penalties. Specifically, they had a ton of false start penalties, the offensive line jumping and you know Rogers like he is the maestro in the Michelangelo of the Hard Count and the Cadence, And after so many false start penalties, Robert Solaz said after the game that I want to get this right. We got to figure it out whether or not we're good enough or ready to handle all of the cadence. So afterwards the Jets media went to Aaron Rodgers and said, what do you think about that suggestion from the coach?

The cadence?

Specifically, Robert said, there might be something you guys have to dial back a little bit.

Is that something you think could potentially help the situations?

It's one way to do it. The other way is hold him accountable. I mean, we haven't had an issue. We've had one false start. Morgan had one false start I believe until this. So you know, it's been a weapon. We use it every day in practice, we don't you know, we rarely have a false start, and to have I don't know five today, it seemed like four or five. Yeah, it seems like an outlier. I don't know if we need to make mass changes based on, you know, kind of an outlier game.

So it's a cool, little bit icy response that everyone here is running with, and accountability is the buzzword today. Listen, don't don't even suggest to Rogers that you're going to take away his cadence. He loves that cadence. That's like telling Michael you're taking away his fate away jumper like that. He basically invented. That is one of his prime weapons. So if I'm Rogers, I'm saying, yeah, okay, so let's let me change up the cadence I've been doing twenty years because our stupid lineman can't stay on the right timing man, then they're too confused by it. Like that's the subtext there. If it's me, like I've been doing that, Caden since my head coach was a quality control coach who God knows where. I know what I'm doing. We did it in camp, we do it in practice. One of our linemen didn't like the weather today and he kept jumping off side, So yeah, let's change the entire cadence instead of going to him and saying, get your head in the game. He is right, And then my opinion problem is, guys, like the chemistry with Garrett Wilson is not there. It's just it's palpable when you watch the game. The running game is not there. It's palpable when you watch the game. And what you hope for is that it was a disgusting, terrible, hot, disgusting day in which Denver also was terrible on offense, and that you go in that you just look at that as that terrible Week four outlier where the conditions were horrible and we didn't have our act together. That's the hope. But there is not a lot of that sentiment here. I'm not going to say last week they were world beaters and this week, in the most disgusting day in the history of New Jersey, they couldn't play well. So they suck. Now, I'm not doing it, but there is the whole sentiment here too. And you guys will get this. That that shot of Rogers with the towel over his head, the classic punchline everywhere is there there, that's the moment. This is the moment he becomes a New York Jet. Officially, he is now baptized in jetthood. It's the classic BS Jets fan, same old Jets that they scream and that they call the radio shows about. And the same people were calling the radio shows last week and saying, I'm gonna buy my Super Bowl tickets. We'll see what happens in London. It's a big game for them. Let's put it that way.

Kyle.

A couple of requests. I'm going to need you to stop saying hot and disgusting in the same sentence. Have you filled your quota for the day. It's enough under hot and wet and disgusting. I'm on the Jets sideline this weekend in London's Vikings Jets I will be in their production meetings. We are gonna have Solo, We're gonna have Rogers. Kyle, I am curious, how do you think one would approach a conversation in a room after seeing a game like that, knowing what was said after the game, I got to sit down next to Aaron Rodgers, look him in the eye and ask him a question. I'm wondering what you would ask him after hearing what he had to say about Alla.

How's things with Sala? Aaron, how's the relationship going?

I don't know right to it.

The guys through everything like That's the good advantage you have here is that he doesn't become like wrapped up in these moments. It's the same thing when he was fighting allegedly with Garrett Wilson in the preseason. It's like, guy, it's just football, all right. The Cadence thing is not going to bring down the twenty twenty four Jets. If they can't run the ball. It might, but it's not going to be a matter of rogers. Cadence just go right to them. He appreciates direct questions and will answer anything. That's my advice.

You start off with asking him.

Start off asking about House of Dragon, and maybe ask him about the show Hacks on HBO Max and you like that, and then you ask the hard one real quick though. We wouldn't be doing ourselves justice as a show that covers thirty two vance. Joseph's Broncos defense yesterday was outstanding and that Broncos team found a way to win after being.

Playing in Tampa, spending the week in West Virginia.

They practiced on a tennis court in an indoor bubble on Friday because of the hurricane, and then went into the Jets building and they beat them. So I think a big cat from Barstool had this. This was the revenge game for Peyton first on Payton after the revenge game that Hackett had last year. So it's the revenge of the revenge game.

And now the Broncos hold serve.

And the Jets can get a revenge game from that revenge game next year.

Okay, the revenge games go through the Green Briar in Western Yeah, all right.

Divisional battle in the NFC South.

Derek Carr going into Atlanta to take on Kirk Cousins. Early on Kamara here twenty three to seventeen. He is in the end zone, and now we have a ball game.

Twenty four to twenty three Saints. Kirk Cousins has to get the ball.

Somewhat in range for Young Wayku, one of the best kickers in.

The game, and we have a hats.

Interfere Saints defenders are like, what Mooney, that's a Standford kid.

Abido, here we go, Young Waykup.

He's made three kicks already, fifty eighty yarder game Preddy the Falcon, fresh off his feature with Kaylee Hartungu, is now running around the field, winners two and two. The NFC sound this now Suddenly the Buccaneers alone at three.

And one at first AFC South all right at C J.

Stroud.

He was without Tank Dell yesterday. Trevor Lawrence gonna figure it out when the Texans were down that put them ahead twenty four to twenty Jaggs zero to four, Texans three and one, a top that division. I can imagine that a game ball not going to Jacksonville just yet this season. They might bounce back here eventually. But Isaiah, where do you take this game ball and send it to?

Oh?

We're gonna take this thing out to ball to wory.

And I know most people are going to say give it to Derrick Henry, but no, I'm not giving it to Derreck Henry.

I'm going to give it to.

The man that opens up the holes for miss Derrick, Henry and mister Nice.

This is the man. Listen what looks what he does for these guys. He goes out there, I get out the way. I got a big phillip whow I mean it has found Zoe.

He is one of the most underappreciated guys in this game. I know for people who care about the blocking, then you have to pay attention to six three, three hundred and eleven pound fullback that just moves grown men out the way for a living. Yeah, I know they call up, but guess who jumped on the ball.

It was Patrick Rethbard. He got him a touchdown yesterday. So I'm giving this game ball to him because he does a lot of the dirty work.

They allows for Henry to show up in the stat line the way he does.

Can I stay in the DMV? Can I go to the quarterback of the Washington Commanders. It is not as original as a Patrick Ricard.

I'm going with a guy that's changing the game, and I am going with mister Jayden did nice twenty six to thirty.

Guy was unbelievable.

Again, has so much poise, so much he has an eighty two percent completion percentage for the season that has unheard of, and he's a rookie. Unbelievable poise goes in there into Arizona in this highly hyped battle with Kyler of Heisman Trophy winners, and it.

Was never a question.

The Commanders came out here and.

Just absolutely blew out the Cardinals. Jaden Daniels looks the part, and his statistics are just mind blowing as far as his accuracy goes, and he also runs the ball. It's a new day in Washington and I love watching this kid. Another great performance, Jamie, who's your game ball?

Kind of near the DMV sits Delaware and that's where my game ball goes to the man that hails from there. You said, pat Ricard moves grown men for a living. This grown man has moved a lot for a living. After he played in Baltimore. Joe Flacco then has bounced around. Now he's winning games for whichever jersey or helmet he wants to put on. But Joe Flacco in the postgame interview was asked by the sideline reporter, do you feel cool compared to your young quarterback? And Flacco's answer was so epic listen.

He told me his mom is eight days older than I am, So there's no chance in the world that he thinks I'm cool.

So Anthony Richardson's mom is eight days older than Joe Flacco, Kyle, make it make sense. You can't put Joe Flacco just because it's really entertaining the fact that he comes into wins games against My game ball.

It's incredible. I mean, Flacca might be playing with Anthony Richardson's son at some point, and I hope he is. I just hope he is. And Joe Flacco very well deserved. We'd love another lacaissance were into it, My game ball, very simple. Chicago Bears running back DeAndre Swift, You damn right, DeAndre Swift, do your thing. One hundred and sixty five total yards and a touchdown, five point eight yards of carry. Guess what, guys, You used your Twitter to make fun of him, use your Instagram to make fun of him. You benched him in fantasy, and he made you look like an idiot. Huge day in a huge win for the DeAndre Swift, the running back of the Chicago Bears, wearing that old Jim Harbaugh number four. It's okay guys. He did not forget how to play football. You did not forget how to block. It was a rough start. Was the coverage of DeAndre Swift and the attack of DeAndre Swift gratuitous? Yes? Was it excessive? Yes? And it is possible to talk about DeAndre Swift in any form of media without mentioning his last name is the same of a famous pop star. It has nothing to do with her, has everything to do with him and the Bears and the stats and his running and is receiving DeAndre Swift. I don't even have a ball in here. If I did, I would give it to you. All I can give you, sir, is my respect. You had a great day and you'll have another one.

Watching DeAndre Swift run yesterday, you kind of looked like that Leonardo DiCaprio meme where he's got the cigarette in his mouth and he's like pointing at the TV like, yes, exactly.

Like That's how I felt.

Swift was running the ball every time he broke free.

Kyle.

I also like the DiCaprio meme from Jangle where he's laughing like that.

Kyle.

I will say this, it was nice that at least one of the Swifts did show up.

Taylor, You're in Los Angeles? What are we doing here? It's two games in a row. Maybe support your man?

I don't know.

Collaborates Peter, tell us more we have time.

I'll add on.

Maybe she's taking a Maybe she's taking an oversaturation lesson and saying like it's been too much. And also I think she has to go back on tour. She's to finish it still, so maybe she's getting I don't know.

I'm sure Glenn Powell was there, Peter.

He made us everywhere. Kevin Hart found a way there.

I'm sure, yes, he's right.

Still Belichick was there too.

Game Balls Week four, Isaiah pat Ricart excellent choice.

Great like who would have ever thought before?

So a list black wearing the jerseys.

Hanging in the loofs oh Man.

All right, we got highlights? Still come on GMFB plus.

I forgot what say? What we have left?

What is it gonna be?

Ready?

A little head scratch scratcher, Good morning.

Football, It is time for a wake up call, presented by our friends at Verizon. Each week on this show, I give you the coach of the week. It could be a head coach, it could be a coordinator. It could be an assistant special teams guy.

If we think that unit really stepped up.

And this week's winner is Washington Commander's offensive coordinator, Cliff Kingsbury. An emotional win for the Commanders and an emotional one for Kingsbury, who was the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals for many seasons, was fired as still being paid by the Arizona Cardinals, and then went back into the building and washed his offense, put up forty two points and score on just about every single possession. After the game, dan Quinn was giving out game balls and there was a special one for his new oc Take a watch, he.

Said last night, man, he said, it's great when you count on others and they count on you. That way, victory is produced by everybody, all right, And that's what tonight was, man, fast, physical, We said, anybody, anywhere, any time.

So we did what we came to do, all right.

So there'll be a number of game balls that will be issued out, I'm sure tomorrow, but there's one.

I ain't leaving this city without one.

Cliff on to the next with a little bit of explience in between.

Jayden Daniels is the story of the NFL one month into the season, and Kingsbury's offense has been perfectly curated to his skill set and to make everything work. It's a pleasure watching the Commanders first time we've said that ever as a show, and Cliff Kingsbury pulled all the right levers, and you know, kudos to him going back to a former place of work that is still paying him today and getting the best of them.

Sherry Burris, I know you worked many years.

In that Washington, DC market, and it has feeling very different around this Commander's team this go around.

Absolutely, I tweeted, this is the first time I've ever seen this fan base this excited for Washington, at least the four plus years I've covered them. My Twitter mentions, Peter are blowing up that this has been the most excited they've been in maybe twenty five wow plus years. But that wasn't the only homecoming of the weekend. Vikings running back Aaron Jones said last weekend, if he got into the end zone, he was indeed going to do a Lambeau leap. When he returned to Green Bay, Well, he didn't find the end zone, still racking up one hundred and thirty night scrimmage yards in the Vikings win over the Packers Minnesota, now perfect four and zero on the season. Jones did speak with our very own Stacey DALs after the win about his emotional return.

It was a lot this week for me, just you know, being grateful, the gratitude of you know, where it all started. Those relationships that I've made from whether it's the equipment room to the training room to the upstairs staff, my teammates and those are those are relationships that will never end. You know, they've helped me through tough time. So just stepping back off out on this field and hearing the fans give me that sign of respect. You know, it's more about is more than what you do on the field, is what you do off the field that you'll be remembered.

And on Saturday on NBC, take a look inside the world of flag football before catching fire across the country and around the world. Your inspirational stories from youth champions, World champions in Stars of the NFL, all with the share dream of going for Olympic Goal Dome as Global Rides of Flag Football presented by Visa. That is Saturday, three pm Eastern on NBC Kyle, that.

Is going to be incredible to watch.

And I mean, we got to think Olympics are going to be just next door and they get a chance to play for Olympic gold playing football.

It's fantastic. I love it. I coach flag football. I coached the flag football for the weekend and I will be watching. I had just had one thing to add to your reports here. You were talking about Aaron Jones, and we spent a lot of time on Friday in the show saying, or he's going back to Lambeau as a Viking. If he scores in Lambeau leaps into the Packers fans, would they hug him or reject him because they love him so much? But he's a Viking now. So after the show, I sent a message to Aaron, who has been on the show and been a host. I said, dude, if you score, when you score, jump into Packers fans, not Vikings fans, jump into Packers fans. I think they'll hug you. And he goes, yes, sir, I'm definitely going to do it. So he wanted to do it. He didn't score. He didn't score the touchdowns, so we didn't get to see it, and now he who knows when he'll ever go back to Lambo as a Viking, maybe next year, but he wanted to do it, and he was going to go to Packers fans as a Viking. Would have been a Lambo first, but we mainly see it sometime in the future.

I think they would have hugged him if it was the first touchdown of the game, like, all right, seven nothing tie at seven, Sure we love you. If that was the game winning go ahead, I don't know.

All right, head scratch your time. It's like when the little doggie looks at you and goes, what are we talking about here, Peter.

One of the best plays of the day from the offensive side, one of the worst plays from the defensive side.

Head scratcher for.

Me, Carolina, What was up with the tackling on that Jamar Chase touchdown?

We see one more time. Awesome uniforms, by the way by the Bengals. I like these ones. One guy, two guys, three guys. Now look all credits to Jamar Chase. He's fantastic. He's one of the best players in the sports. Why are you paying this guy? And they should, But there's also.

Some tackling in this sport and what are we doing?

Grab him? Grab him? Carolina was up early in.

This game and Andy Dalton was gonna get his his second win. Nope, you can't win after tackling like this, just not possible, head scratcher.

What are we doing?

I don't play.

I don't know.

We all have kids on the show here and of a certain age, like minor Mike two oldest ones are five and three, and like we're doing that thing right now. If like somebody gets tapped, it's like, oh my god, what are you doing? I feel like this to Jordan Mason, he gets hit with the flag by an official, But actually what made me scratch my head because the fact that he's like, oh, seriously, just first of all, what's on purpose? That's the obvious question. But Jordan Mason's reaction is just like, seriously, great scram it's thought it didn't go as a face mask. Jord Mason getting hit by fake bit of a head scratcher Kyle.

It's incredible. He should have swatted, he should have stiff armed the flag. Come ad on a swivel. Jordan, are you ever given an interview and you think I think, I think I might say something a little out there and a little edgy, but I think I might say it and then you just say it. That's what Baker Mayfield did with Aaron Andrews after the wind yesterday. Roll It.

We talked a lot about the heat today and what it was like. I have no idea what it's like to.

Play in this heat.

Can you give us an idea?

I changed my pants at halftime, so WI, yeah, it's a little it's a little toasty out here. The head scratcher is why doesn't everyone do this? And maybe they do it? Would you know what it must feel like at halftime to go there and put a nice, fresh, dry pair of pants. Sometimes I want to do it in the middle of the show, and I might. I don't know why everyone doesn't do that, Baker, great answer, Ea, great, great interview. As always, fresh pants can't beat Isaam.

You know my center in college used to change his pants at halftime because he sweated so much. So I said, but I'm gonna go take this thing to New Orleans. No Orleans is scored a lot of points this year, so when you get down.

To the goal line, you want to use your resources.

Right, No, let's play and give it a decr No, just failure to launch right there in terms of trying to get the quarterbacks and neat now only do they just say, Okay, that didn't work.

They say, you know what, let's run to it again. Let's try it again. You're gonna get it this time, right DK. No, he's not getting in there this time either. So the next play they just say, you don't.

Let's give it out to the guy who actually scored touchdowns for US, Alvin Kamara.

He goes out there and scores a touchdown on the handoff.

What are you.

Guys doing right there?

I mean, all these weapons and you want DC to jump over the pile?

Two?

I changed my pants. There's this guy called Jayson Hill, very athletic dude. Give it to him, have him jump over the pile. What'd you say, Jamie?

I just I'm just replaying that quote in my head over and over again. I changed my pants at halftime? Is the intrusive thought just came.

Out on the people saying hot and sweat you what were you saying?

And wet?

There you go.

That was the weather at MetLife Stadium yesterday. It wasn't just wet, It was a hot web. It was disgusting outside disgusting, not just that disgusting, disgusting.

Happy Monday, everybody. You got two games to watch tonight, don't.

You're going to London.

You're gonna be a great move.

Change your pants.
