Good Morning Football.
Yeah, what's up?
This is GMFB. Everybody welcome inside. We're live in LA and New York. As always, it's Friday. It's the end of the week. We survived the free agency. It was quite the frenzy. We tracked everything and now we really.
Get to inspect what all the teams have done.
I'm Jamie Rdaal, Peter Schrager, Kyle Brant, Isaac Rochelle, and Jason Covinda at the table as well. Welcome into our football family. Everybody have This is our team. This is our group today and for the last couple of days.
But teams look a little.
Different after free agency, and now we really get to unpack what twenty twenty five looks like.
Time for three and out.
New England was sitting squarely at the top of the list of available cap space.
They were number one. I was trying to find the sheet and there I found it. They were number one. They signed a ton of free agents.
The contracts, with a combined total value of more than two hundred and eighty million dollars is the most in the NFL here's their new head coach, but a familiar face in New England. Mike Vrabel on the group, hoping to bring them back to glory.
I want to welcome you guys are our Patriot family, and I think that we were all excited about getting you as players, but then when we met in the hallway and met your families, were even more excited to meet your support system and understand why you guys are the way you are. And I'm confident that we got the right people.
And then now it's our.
Job to put them in the right places as players to get the best out of them. Until I'm excited to start that process.
And the Craft family obviously hopes that Mike Vrabel is the right guy to get all of those new faces going in the same direction for New England. Peter, do you pick the New England Patriots as the team that won free agency or do you take us to a different direction.
Free agency is not done.
It is just the first wave of free agency, so I'm always cautious here about who won free agency.
I remember back in.
The early days foxsports dot Com, we would go through the first three hours of Day one of free agency and they would ask me, who's winning Day one of free agency? And I'm just like the Jaguars. They spent the most money. I don't know what you want me to tell you. The Jaguars did. They got a lot of new guys.
We need to compete with the AOL FanHouse. Hoss got great takes. It's hard to really decide who won.
I don't think last year anybody would have said the Washington Commanders because who they brought in were guys like zach Ertz and Austin Eckler and Bobby Wagner and Marcus Mariota. And yet which team made the biggest leap? It was Washington. So which team do I think had the best week this week? I think it was Washington.
Again.
I love what Washington did, and it started last week when they went and they got Deebo Samuel and this week Dynasty they get Larry mc tunzel. Look at this, I look at who you bring back, and leaders is what they brought back. Zach Ertz was on a one year deal last year, brought him back, Mariota very instrumental, and Jaden Daniels brought him back. Wagner one year was their defensive captain.
It was awesome. They'll take a role. The dice on guys like Kid Lawn and go.
Men who have not worked out as pros based on their first round and second round draft statuses. And they got one year deals there at the bottom there with some other players.
But I look at those.
Top two names, Laramie Tunzel still could play football Texans. They thought, Okay, we've already hit the most with this guy. We're gonna have to pay him. Eventually, we'll move on. Commanders look at it. They're like, we've got Jayden Daniels in his second year of a rookie quarterback contract. Let's give him Laramie Tunzel to protect his side. And then of course Deebo Samuel. It's going to be motivated. Look twenty one million dollars for a guy who might have been overweight last year. You don't like hear that, But now it's a contract year and he's being told that he can't live up to the money he's made. Let's see how he's used with Cliff Kingsbury's offense. I look at the Commanders and I look at a team that is ascending and knew they had a window here with a rookie quarterback on a rookie contract. Let's try to get us over the top. They brought in two guys who have been blue chip players in this league who might have something to prove as well. Shout out to not only Adam Peters and Lance Newmark in the front office, but also to Dan Quinn, Cliff Kingsbury and Joe Witt Junior, who are like, yep, bring me those guys. We can work with them and let's get over the top.
One of those off season Deebo Samuel workout pictures come in.
I got it, come in right, so silenced the picture of him in the Green Eagles gear or whatever it was.
I one liked seeing that. I want to see him in the gym on the grind, shredding.
Not podcasting. Same story as Micah.
Wait listen, let's listen. I say this with full conviction and enthusiasm.
The Chicago Bears won the free agency at Chicago Bears and winning the offseason. And I know when you say that, it comes with this thing about what great job another one you accomplished nothing during the season.
You know why I think.
They did it because I think they are making corrections already for the Matti ebraflus era, and I think what they did last year was they went to a restaurant and they had dessert before they had their main course. You're not supposed to sit down and order the Terry massoux before you have the chicken palm. They went last year and it's like, oh, great wide receivers and tight ends and that wide receiver and that wide receiver, and it was just all sugar, and you're like, well, hold on the offensive line. The defensive line is kind of lacking.
Here, So what do they do?
Ben Johnson shows up in five seconds later, They're taking every single offensive lineman, defensive lineman, you know the names, and Tony and Dao in the entire list.
I look back last year's draft.
I'm not sure that this administration with draft Romadoonza. They might go with Olifa Shano, the tackle from Penn State. They might go with Jared Verst, they might go with a little.
More meat and a little less sugar.
I think they got a little caught up and like, let's just light it up with Caleb. This administration is a little bit more informed. And I also just generally I hate the response this year when any enthusiasm or positivity for any transaction by a struggling team is met with off season champs offseason raise the banner third years in a row. First of all, no one is on the Bears fan basis saying we're gonna win the Super Bowl next year. I don't even see them saying we're gonna win the North next year. They're saying we're getting better. Let them have that. I will also let you know that this whole offseason champion thing, here are some facts. Over the last six years, the teams that have spent the most in free agency the number one spender, all of them have increased their win total by at least three the following year, one of them increased it by five, and one of them increased it by six.
All right, that is just the facts right there. This year is the Patriots. They spent the most.
History says the Patriots will have a plus three win total. Panthers, bad team Broncos, bad team Jaguars, they.
Got six wins better.
And you know how many people were in those teams mentioned saying congratulations raised the banner offseason champs a.
Lot and it worked.
So I know that's your favorite joke, and there's your funny little bittre to kick teams while they're down. Are actually trying to get better out?
Dare they?
But you're wrong and the facts say you're wrong. I think the Bears won the offseason already as young as it is, and I think that they will have additional wins this fault to show for it.
So take that, Kyle, you really do your due diligence. I don't know if everybody knows this, but those graphics were great, and I know you you hand pick those.
I love seeing that.
Also not surprised by the Bears. Pick the Hensdale, Illinois and you is coming out. But my pick is definitely the Vikings.
Here.
When I think about a team that really won free agency, I'm like, what pieces did they put in to really make them a complete team pre draft? Right, because the draft you never really know for them. I think they made all the right moves, specifically on the O line, D line, like I think of Ryan Kelly, Will Fries, Hargrave, Allen. These battles that these guys are going to be having at practice is what's going to make them great. I think back to the clips we just watched when I was on the Chargers, our O line D line battles were the best. We had Pouncy, we had Russelkun and then on the D line we had myself ingram Bosa.
We were great.
Because of that. And then lastly JJ McCarthy. I know he's not a free agent signee, but we have to think about him kind of in that way.
He hasn't played. Who is he.
I'm looking at it and I'm like, dang, let's look at him as a rookie. If he was in the draft right now, he would be the number one quarterback. So they essentially had the number one rookie quarterback. I mean, again, he's not, but if you look at it like that, their set, I think they're in such a good place and they've made the right decisions to be in a great place exiting this free agency.
I like that a lot, you know, I agree.
I think that's probably My second is the Vikings. I'm actually gonna agree with Kyle Hill and say that my first is the Bears, and I say it for a little bit of different reasons. I think that the Bears are done with the days of letting cornerstone guys like ro Kwan Smith go all the boneheaded decisions coordinators getting fired mid seasons.
All of those types.
Of things are going to be done under this administration that's with this organization and Ben Johnson and Ryan Poles, I think they're finally.
Going to have cohesion.
I think that when you look at these free agents, because it's easy to go and get the sexy name, it's easy to go and get a guy that is just a great player, but they're getting great players, and they're getting them with intention.
When you look at guys.
Like Jonah Jackson, who played in Detroit under Ben Johnson system and knows the offense. When you look at Grady Jarrett, one of the guys who's been one of the most consistent guys in the NFL at defensive tackle, every single move that they're doing is happening with cohesion. I think too many times coaches have messages for players and things that they say, but the GM doesn't necessarily agree, and the moves that the GM is making isn't necessarily in line with those messages, and all of that stuff trickles into the culture of the players. We talk about it in the locker room, and we all know we text about it in our group.
Chats or whatever.
The case is, so I think now they're finally in a place where everybody is rowing the boat in the same direction, and I don't think the Chicago Bears have been in that place in quite some time.
It's good takes, I think, to Peter's point, it's good to timestamp this stuff. So it's the end of the first week of free agency. We know some guys that have signed. The ink is dry, but we also are tracking flight patterns of some other quarterbacks that haven't that haven't signed yet.
The Browns brought in free.
Agent quarterback Russell Wilson for a visit on Thursday. He's also visiting the Giants, and we're doing a full blown paparazzi track of any suburban and any airport that he is and is he a window where Nile guy? We have a ton of questions. Wide receiver Darius Slayton, who's with the Giants, was asked about the possibility of playing with Russell Wilson or even Aaron Rodgers because he's still little nobles on the wall.
Yeah, well sofishly, I think he's in career notice having a great people, so I love that, of course.
So I'll ask Aaron Rodgers yeah.
I mean personally, you know, I think Aaron Rodgers is probably the greatest quarterback to ever just pure thrower of the ball we've ever played football now, So I have a ton of respect for him. And you know, I know, obviously everybody who loves in this league, you know, want to get a little older there. It's happening to everybody. They're like, oh, he doesn't got anymore whatever. But you know, I think Aaron Rodgers has shown that he can still spin it.
Peter, how strange it must be for those guys to talk about a team that they don't know who the quarterback is going to be. That that's where we are with the current state of the New York Giants, Peter, what else do you have to think about them?
I think everyone has been having their wax at the Giants, and I think there has been this feeling of shot and fraud almost of like, look at this team. They're courting Aaron Rodgers at forty one years old, and they're waiting on him.
I actually think the.
Giants did very well this week and they added important pieces and they have some real strong points to this roster that if you take and you block out the fact that they're waiting and they're meeting with Russell Wilson, and they're meeting with Aaron Rodgers and whatever else.
Look at their defense.
Look at this defensive backfield that they have put together here right now, which as we know, and you're watching the Eagles this year, when you add a Cooper dejene and you add a Quinion Mitchell, this could be a very very important piece to a roster. You're talking about, here's your protected started secondary. When you go to the nickel corners, also, you got a twenty six year old free agent, you got a twenty four year old former first round pick.
Phillips and Nuben were great rookies.
Last year, and Holland's one of the better safeties.
In the game.
Then you look at the front seven and you're like, oh, well, surely they don't get to the quarterback or they're not good there. They have probably the best defensive tackle in the sport in Dexter Lawrence. They have Brian Burns, who's still twenty seven, one of the best pass rushers.
Tibodeau is a.
Former first round pick, and then Bobby Ocarake was solid as a linebacker, and they like McFadden like, there are strengths to this Giants team.
And oh yeah, by the way, Malik.
Neighbors and Tyrone Tracy had amazing lookie seasons. So like, I see this as a young, ascending team. They're a quarterback away. They don't have a quarterback. Daniel Jones was ho wind this last year and then got injured and then it was awful after that. Like, they don't have a quarterback. It's hard to win football games without a quarterback. But there are pieces there. Color me an optimist, or maybe it's because I grew up in New Jersey that I'm like, the Giants aren't that far off throwing Aaron Rodgers, heck throwing Russell Wilson draft a quarterback. I think the Giants are on their way and they could be competitive this year.
Call me crazy. Good job, Peter great, Great got a heavy lift?
I don't know, Yeah it was, yeah, it was when you bring up the depth chart and everything. You got the bar on your shoulder, but you're doing it's nothing to do with.
You being for New Jersey.
You're tired of the Scheidenfreuda, You're tired of the tomato can, like you hate.
That, and it's like they did off season hard knock, so everyone thinks that everyone's an idiot in that building.
Like, guys, earth to the fans.
I Saquon Barkley wasn't running for two thousand yards as a New York Times, it wasn't happy this worked out for both sides, Like the Eagles were the best place for him, and the Giants use that money to invest in the offensive line.
If they have a quarterback, they might be better off.
Also, Saquon was not rushing for two thousand yards winning a Super Bowl with the Giants last year. Trust me, I'm telling you, those teams are very different spots. So to me to kick them while they're down on that decision, Like, I still don't know if that's not the right decision or the wrong decision, to let Saquon walk out the door.
I know it sounds crazy.
They committed to the quarterback and a year earlier they couldn't do both.
They made a mistake with the quarterback.
The reason it's such a heavy lift isn't just because the Giants had been made.
Fun of a lot.
Is that it's very difficult to talk about the Giants because who is the quarterback?
Like that, that's the whole thing.
So I'm a big fan of Patton Oswalt.
Where's this conversation going.
Patton Oswald tells great stories of Blade Trinity. He was in Blade Trinity, Okay, and he's like, listen, I know the movie's terrible.
I get it.
Wesley Snipes would not come out out of the dressing room. We could not make the movie. He literally would not leave the dressing room. I'm sitting there, and we got Ryan Reynolds, Jessica bial and they got their swords and their bows and arrow already roll. There was no star. We couldn't make a movie. He wouldn't leave the dressing room. The Giants quarterback in twenty twenty five will not come out of the dressing room. We're trying to make They're trying to make a movie. We're trying to make a show. We're sitting around waiting for it. If you suddenly tell me that, oh my god, oh my god, we got to go to rap sheet and Aaron Rodgers is on the Giants, then we bring in Peter's full screens of Brian Burns and Malik Neighbors and yes, we.
Got it, and oh my god. Kevon Thibodau is only twenty four years old. That's crazy.
But right now it's like you could line up Judy Densch and Daniel day Lewis and you could have anybody you want.
There's no lead actor.
I don't know how to talk about it. There's no they can bring in Russell Wilson's shirt. That's all pixie dust at this one. I don't know. And the other thing I don't know, guys, is let's say Rogers says, no, I'm going to retire. I'm gonna be I'm a Steeler.
What is Plan B? I don't know what that.
Is because they're not starting the season Tommy debut, that's not gonna happen, all right, So Shador has planned B. We're gonna take Dean Sanders kid, put him into New York City and say week one you're the starter. Hope it's not against the Eagles like that.
That's a crazy plan.
So it's difficult to talk about because they won't.
Come out of the dresserm and when they do, we will. Yeah, Kyle, I agree with you wholeheartedly.
It's very hard to talk about this team when you don't know what the quarterback situation looks like, and they have an O line issue that just isn't solved yet that they've been asked to solve for the past five six years.
You know, outside of the pick.
And Andrew Thomas, you know, it's just hard to say that they've hit on any of these pigs. You know, I'm good friends with Saquon Barkley to this day. He still has teammates that text him like, man, I really can't believe you're gone. And just a message that that's sent to the rest of the players that it doesn't matter how good of a person you are. It doesn't matter how hard you work, it doesn't matter how talented you are, or how you carry yourself or how you carry the team offensively. What it said is, we don't care about you. We're not going to give you what you deserve. So what type of infration and motivation are you sending to these players that they should be the best version.
Of themselves because are they going to get rewarded for it? Like that's the type of culture you're creating.
And honestly, I'm surprised that, you know, Dabble isn't in some way, shape or form on a hot seat with this situation.
I just think there's culture issues.
I think they have issues offensively, although they have a couple of pieces in Elik Neighbors and they're you know, rookie running back last year that had a good year. I just do not think that you can be excited about this New York Giants team.
Well, I think, first off, Dave Ball is definitely on the hot seat and he's thinking about that every single night.
But it's hard for me to even.
Focus because I have this song Living on a Prayer stuck in my head because that's what the Giants football team New Jersey Peter. I love the breakdown. It's so nice, but this team is living on a prayer. Like you can't just casually be like, oh, you know, they're great, but we don't have a quarterback, Like that's a huge deal. That's the name of the game. In the NFL, that's a passing league. You have to have a quarterback. But it's fine, they can go get a quarterback. They don't have a line. They had the worst O line in the NFL last year, which is a game changer.
And well, that will ruin an offense.
I live by the phrase prior planning prevents poor performance, and that is bulletproof, And that's what's happening with this team right now. I think of this division Dak Prescott hurts Jaydon Daniels, and then I'm like, shador de Vito cam Ward. It just doesn't even sound right. So this team right now, I think they have to literally pray and hope because that's where they're at right now.
Yeah, I don't think that's wrong. I think they're a quarterback.
It's a major problem. It's like they're halfway. Did you I was gonna make the the old.
Lincoln joke or how is the play you know, missus Lincoln. Other than other than that, I get it, like quarterback is everything. But they don't have the worst offensive line. That is that is wrong, Like I don't know what's like that's not. They got illuminar last year, they got run in last year. They have Andrew Thomas, they have first round pick, a number three overall pick, number thirty four overall pick. There have been teams that have struggled in the past that get better and last year in the draft. I'm sorry for this giant dissertation. If you live in thirty one other markets, I just last year in the draft, neighbors Tracy Nubin Phillips all were fantastic for them last year, Like, I don't know what else you could do.
They're a young team.
And Cobinda, you play with the Lions when you guys were dirt terrible, and guess what. You turn the corner, it happens. You guys were awful and you guess what. Two years later you're in playoff games and they're like, it's gonna happen.
I don't think they got Jared Goff. And they got Jared Goff. They got a quarter.
And I'll go back to Cobinda. You Saint Quan's college roommate. It feels like it's is personal to you.
And do you know why things changed in Detroit? Matt Patricia got up out of there with the Patriots culture and the more is More culture that was out of there. Dan Campbell came in and it changed the culture. That is the difference. And guess what, fire, we had one of the best O lines in the entire league. And I've had one of the best O lines in the entire league for some years now. Frank now Taylor Decker now Penay Sewel, Jonah Jackson at one point who's now going to Chicago Bears.
We had dudes.
The Giants don't have dudes, and they don't have culture.
And the culture that you showed to this team is like I said.
We're gonna trade away our best player, not reward our best player that not only does the best and carries our offense, but carries himself in the way that we'd expect you to carry yourself as a New York Giant.
We showed you, guys that we don't care what you do.
You're not gonna get rewarded for that type of culture trickling down up from the front office down into the players, into the locker room.
It's not gonna work able.
You got one more year, Peter.
I see what you did there. You're a little grenade tosser. And even if you do it from New York. Just pulled the clip with his teeth and went like this to Cabinda. That was a good discussion, and somehow we have unsuccessfully converted on playing three and out properly.
This week.
We can't get to the third down. Everybody coming up on our show. There are several okay, guys, we're gonna bump this correctly. Yes, those people are in a relationship and that's what's important. However, there is a power dynamic at play that.
We have to acknowledge.
Isaac Rochell who kind of has a PhD in this stuff, or at least as what we're acknowledging. Kyle, we got a new segment called Fame Over Game, and we got to talk about some of these characters in the players lives.
Those kids work out.
Look at them, they work out, they exercise, look at those two crazy kids.
All right? But first, all right, so Russell Wilson.
Aside from the picture we just showed of this family, he's on the free agent market.
He's just sitting there.
Anyone can hire him. Is he going back to the Steelers? That happened as their plan? B? What do you go to the Giants? We'll look back on the top plays of a legendary career.
Feter were going to do a little retrospective.
Let's give Russy's love. This is a Hall of Fame quarterback in my eyes. Let's remember the good years.
And also what a team might be getting if they signed Russell Wilson.
Good moan football, all right.
Whether you like it or not.
Some people may say famous currency and that's what we're talking about here today. We cover football players all the livelong day, the teams, the organization, how the teams are built. But these guys have lives and they have partners, and Isaac Rochelle is with us all this week. So we have to lean into Isaac's audience. Isaac, you played your seventh round draft pick, you played seven years in the league, four different teams, but you have a specific audience and it lives on TikTok and Instagram. Give us the numbers, but also why this is pertinent to you.
Yeah, I'll give my height weight or you want no.
No, I'm like your life. Like your life, buddy.
So I've my wife and I together have a mass probably over about six million followers on social media. It's been an absolute game changer, and I mean the biggest game changer in my life. And we're super thankful for it and I'm excited to talk about it.
And the big thing here is your wife is definitively more famous than you, Isaac Rochelle.
Right, for better or for work on better off, for richer or for poor. Yeah, I'm richer because of.
Yeah, because of her? All right?
So you are you married up. If you will, we see you Ali, and we're going to talk about this now. We're gonna go partners in the NFL of players that are more.
Famous than the guys that we talk about every day on this show.
First, we start off with an undrafted free agent back in twenty eighteen signed with the Arizona Cardinals. You've seen him on a couple different teams in the last eight season. He has not missed a game playing for the Packers and the Bears over the last couple of years. He is Jonathan Owens and he's married to.
The one and only Simone Biles. And as we introduce these people, we're gonna build a football team. I'm going to tell you what they do and who they would be on my team. So Simone Boles forty one total medals, which is wild. She's a pioneer for young athletes all over the world. And the thing that I love most about her is she's got some spice. I don't know, if you watch the Olympics when she held up the yeah, like you didn't see me, let me show you this for sure. She's got that dog in her. She's my cornerback, She's my ed Reed Okay, I'm excited about it.
All right. And her husband plays defense. Special team are great.
We love him as ye Okay, moving on, he.
Is currently a free agent.
He's like a nine time pro bowler in a position that we have been talking about a lot this week. It's kind of the heartbreak story of free agency. It's Kyle Uschek and his wife Kristen Huschek, whose fashion has taken.
Off in the heartbreak of the off season.
Has to do with her too.
I think this forty nine ers community really fell in love with her. Yes, but you see the jacket she's wearing. She has made a splash in the fashion game and she really had her major debut when Taylor Swift wore one of the pieces that she created. The thing about her that I love she's scrappy. She finds a way. It's very obvious in what she does. She's going to get a deal done. She's scrappy enough to be a fullback.
Okay, this is my fullback.
Okay, all right, so we got a corner. We got a fullback. We're not just going to go positions though. We are truly building an organization here. Next up, another free agent who made a headline this week, The Texans got better, and a lot of it had to do with Braxon Barrios, despite coming off an injury with the Dolphins last season. Braxon Burios, you have a very famous partner.
These two together.
I mean, I think we've heard it every time they were shown from Kyle their studs.
Yeah, they got Alex Earl. What's up?
So excited to talk about Alex I know her personally, she's a great person. She has made such a splash and social media really was kind of a pioneer in the space.
Took over on TikTok.
Get ready with me, all right, you know, she's just she's doing her thing.
And if you do get ready with me now because of Alex Erle, probably.
How do we feel?
But I mean, your fit is fitting.
It's fit. It's fitting.
I did where they do put on makeup for this, which is I did do it.
Get ready with Here we go.
So Alex Eyl, she's a beat, She's got ice in her veins. She's dealt with the ups and downs and people critiquing her.
This is my kicker. I want her at the end of the game.
I want her at the end of the game, locked in ready to win the game.
I like it.
One of the originals of this list and og and by the way, we had to leave some.
Off even that's how deep we can roll here.
This person was one of the early adopters of like let's date and marry a musician Russell Wilson, where are you playing Quarterback? But also Sierra what outfit? And jersey are you gonna be? Were next season as well.
She's a beast, I mean truly like you love Sierra. Yeah, she's great.
She's got hits, she's got awards, she's got.
Everything that you need.
This is this is an impact player right here. Okay, she's got that again, got her doll. She's prime time.
She's my receiver. Oh nice, cause she's my Lockett.
She's your time of Lockett.
It's so great a partner for Russ and she's automatic supersonic.
Okay, moving on. DK Metcalf just signed.
With the Stealer excuse me, traded to the Steelers. Big Time Extension also had a massive life announcement during his press conference yesterday. We love a late entry. This person his fiance now actually bumps somebody off the list.
We got well, Jamie texted me last night talking about Normani and I was, yeah, we said that we love a late entry.
This is great, you guys.
I think Dk Metcalf had a bigger smile when he was announcing this engagement than he did when he saw his contract. I don't know how that happens, but he's richer anyway, So who cares. This is my dog from Atlanta.
She's a cornerback for me.
She's shutting everything down, and she's on your playlist.
Yeah, that's true, exactly. Normani and Simone Biles are corners right now. Excellent. This guy just signed a massive media deal.
And got a contract extension in Western New York. His fiance apparently soon to be wife, very famous bumblebee.
I think for Hawkeye, who is she?
She?
Well, she's everywhere, she does everything, Hailey Steinfield And one of my favorite movies of all time is begin Again.
Random.
You wouldn't have guessed that, Maybe you would have Hailey's in there. Okay, So that's where I know her from. Josh Allen, we all know you already. Slow. Dion Dawkins talked about this. Josh Allen got better because of her. She's protecting him. She's my all pro left tackle.
Okay one oepro left tackle perfect one, two, three, four, five, six. We're not ranking them, we're building them.
Guys.
Don't worry. We didn't get out.
Of this segment without talking about the tight end in Kansas City who we got as one of our last picks on our Fame Over Game roster?
Is it I mean Kansas City?
Great?
Yeah, Okay, type it up.
She's literally the greatest of all time. This is our goat other than my wife. This is the goat, the one and only Taylor Swift. One thing about Taylor she knows money. She knows money better than the best of them.
This is my GM.
Nice, she's transcended playing She's the GM.
All right, And you kind of already teased it at the very end.
Look at Taylor Swift.
Everybody knows there's some people hate when we talk about her, but this is really happening. And finally, the originator of this segment, or at least her, Isaac Rochelle, Isaac take it away, and why we have the shield on her because you are recently retired, But who is the beautiful woman and the woman of your life that's going to end out this list?
Retired?
But ready, I'm going to stare at this picture of my wife the way that Jason stared at Dan Campbell, because there it is. Because I love this woman. She's watching right now, she's with my daughter. My wife has completely changed our life with everything she's done. And she's a wonderful person and even better mom.
You know the.
Journey, Jamie of becoming a mom and going through that. Ali, you deserve the world, of course. My wife is my QB one. Nice in my life and on the field now, so excited about this list.
Fame over game, ladies, well done, and guys, we like talking about you too.
Ali, shout out to you. You are a QB one.
I like the GM with the Taylor Swift, Peter, how about that normalmy news yesterday that.
Was pretty cool.
DK metcalf there gets his new contract as the press conference and Isaac, so appreciate you.
Going up there. That's not easy going up there and doing it. Appreciate you, and I appreciate your love for your wife.
I too love my wife, and we all know there are better halves.
Hey, I'm gonna throw in with a take. I love my wife, love her.
You know of the list, due respect, it's your wife, Isaac, I gotta single out Chris and you check. I think the only one who's been on our show as a guest.
So I'm in with her. I love her.
Isaac came out with his wife a couple of years ago.
I remember it, well, Isaac, do you remember that? Okay, Peter interested was she on? I don't think she was on? Peter, Oh, yes she was. You both were on. I want to say no, I'm going to challenge that I would. I would, maybe I would bet good money.
We're going to ask her. We're going to find out from her directly.
I actually, Kyle, I.
Like that challenge.
I think we should a GMFB goals to get everybody on that list.
Look at her just hanging out. What do you think, Isaac?
I think maybe she was in studio and I don't think about it. Maybe she was in studio but on.
The show, Jason, what do you better prod?
Look it up.
Let's say I'm a little bit jealous because I'm still looking for my QB one.
Now there we go, but it's loading. One's loading, all right, he's available. I'm motivating.
Now knock somebody off.
The millions are watching a bachelor.
Just watch that Hard Knocks episode, like, that's that's the intensity of the love I'm going to give you. That's there, and just was thinking about about me applying that intensely to everything that I do for you.
There.
This was a hard list to put together, and frankly, what I appreciate about all of these relationships because this is truly the NFL and the cross section with People Magazine essentially has become this and it's acknowledgment that these guys are great, but some of these women are our year round three sixty five headlines that we talk about, and uh, you know whether or not they are. We had to we had to broaden the scope. We went married, engaged or significant others.
Yes, Jamie, if we did a draft and you can, you can have your number one overall. Pick a who would appear in studio as a guest? Who's your number one?
Picking?
Oh gosh, Kyle, it's such a good question in studio as a guest.
Let me you have you have a layup answer here, It's.
Taylor's go around.
Ali's coming in anyways. Ali, It's it's coming. Ali's going to come in anyways. Alex Earl or Taylor Swift, I would have them on and Peter already tried.
No no, Janie's no, or pick one Taylor Swift. Thanks, Jason, you're up next.
What do you got, Sarah Siera nice?
Yeah, I mean I'm gonna go my wife slash Taylor Swift.
I agree, Okay, fine, Alice's coming in.
I know I go next. I already pick christ and your check he's already been. I would have a return visit. I like Chris and I like Kyle.
I got I want a musical performance.
That's what I really. Let's go. Nobody's chicking. Haley Stein, Oh my god, she's amazing.
Welcome back to GMFP everyone. Seahawks general manager John Schneider saying Thursday he thought he could work things out with wide receiver DK Metcalf following his trade requests, but at the end of the day, Metcalf still wanted to be traded, so they moved on from each other. As we all know, Metcalf was sent to the Steelers, where he officially signed a new contract as well. Who will be throwing him the ball, of course, is still to be determined, but he says he has faith in the front office to make the.
Right decision when I hopped on the phone with those three great gentlemen. They made me feel we felt welcome first off, and then secondly, they made me feel like they had they had the right decision, you know, with who was going to be throwing me the football. And you know, I'm not making a decision in the quarterback room. Uh so I'm just gonna try to do the best of my abilities to you know, you know, help whoever they have out there throwing the football. So you know, they they make the correct decisions, uh, you know, to bring the quarterback in here. So I'm just gonna roll with that.
As for the Seahawks, new quarterback Sam Donald was introduced to the Seattle media Thursday as he replaces Gino Smith as the starter. Donald looking forward to playing for the Seahawks fans and set up against them.
It's an unbelievable atmosphere at Lungenfield, and I'm so excited to finally have those those twelves on my side this time. And yeah, man, just just really looking forward to this opportunity to to be here with with my teammates, with these coaches. I think we have an opportunity to do something very very special here. But it's gonna it's gonna take a lot of hard work, and we know that. I know that going in and uh yeah, I'm just very excited to take this one day at a time and that's going to be That's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna put my head down and go to work and just excited to do that.
Great mindset, all right, coming up, as Russell Wilson sits on the free agent market, we'll look back at some of the top plays of his career today with us.
Yeah, good morning, Welcome back to GMFB.
You know, Russell Wilson was visiting the Cleveland Browns yesterday and we'll be with the New York Giants today.
Meeting potential suitors.
He's going and he's going on a tour to say, hey, I want to be your quarterback. Here's what I can offer. Let's get to know each other. And when you hear that, you say, okay, Russa at the front. Let's not forget just how many great moments Russell Wilson has given us over the course of his NFL career. Whether he's got it or not, he's always had something special in the biggest moments with.
No further ado.
In honor of Russell Wilson's tour of these random cities in another home, here are my top five ten favorite Russell Wilson playing.
All right NFL history.
Russell takes a snap, looks far aside.
He's gonna throw down field.
He's got men Jeff, He's got a touchdown see Hawks DK Menjemp one on one down the far sidelines. Perfect path by Russell Wilson. Won a Hall of Fame career he is having and he's got another twenty or thirty years left.
On a third and four shot gun, Wilson steps up, runs into his own man. Wilson now trying to circle. Wilson treakes a time.
Russell Wilson or the true been this individual effort for the first down.
So this is an example of this young man's poise and desire. Here's the desire part, not losing focus down the field, then deciding to and how about breaking the tackle of Gerrid Mayo.
Wilson's got space, got nobody down field, bow making it up, do the circus music. Wiltson throw it from both went out.
My goodness, he caught it.
He there because both went down the sideline, fifty seahawk play.
Both went out a bounds inside of five unbelievable stuff.
Are you kidding me?
Ruschel Wilson, he did more pure legs, get.
Up a reader.
He found the way to throw the ball.
Deep and don't Boone win it out, jumps the defender and it takes it all the way down inside of five yard line on.
The thirty nine yard line.
Wolf's boh the high snap off his shoulder, and now Wilson is trying to get.
The wells and wide.
Open, making the.
Catcher's time on Locket and Locket is inside the twenty and time on Locket gets swung down at the four yard line.
Absolutely unbelievable. The fact that none of the offensive lineman go downfield so many times on a bust at play like this, they will go down the field and lock it all alone. Everybody gets distracted on something like that.
Russ takes a snap, Look's gonna let him fly downfield. Tyler Lockett is out.
There, Locket I could catch in the end zone, touchdown, say Hawks, how does he get open?
How does he do that?
Tyler Lockett is amazing And the perfect pass from Russell Wilson a forty seven yard shot before halftime, forty seven seconds left.
And a perfect pass lock it.
With his second score of the NNE playfake Russ rolls left in trouble.
Piro West continues the role left, throws the ball to the back of the end zone. Clawd but is he in bounds? Here comes Bill Vacher.
Runner completed the pass touch down.
Yes, sir, how about that one.
You will see an unfl believable throw by Russell Wilson and it is a touchdown for the Broncos.
And you won't see a better catch or throw all season long.
And the Christmas leadership every Vernie walks into He's the man.
Hen you look at the hack of the way, look at this, Look at that sad how do you shot that?
I don't know.
He's not the fastest, he's not the biggest, he doesn't have the best arm.
He just creates magic.
That's fantastic. I mean, that is just incredible football.
Wow. Luke Wilson in motion on the left side.
Russell play Fait steps back.
Hastimes still surveying the field.
Now he rolls left. Now he scrambles. Now he's going to throw to the back of the.
End zone, streaking up making a catch.
Did he get him fit and cut down?
Say hawks the littlest guy on the field, climbing the ladder.
Thirteen yards, But that was like a thirty five yard crow.
How in the world did he get that through there?
And a perfect throw?
The only place it could be for Locket to make the catch and still get his feet down.
Russell in the pocket.
Russell for Curse, and that's broken up again, and said, but somehow, Oh, and he wound up with a football.
I think Butler hit it and it fell right back down to the ground.
Unbelievable.
Well, Curse goes for it. It's still not on the ground. I'm right, it's still Look at that.
Oh my god, I can't believe you didn't get up and get the end zone the.
Time Wilson toward the end zone. See those going to the Super Bowl?
Germaine Curse. Jermaine Curse takes the mill on the field. He beats Tremont Williams in another perfectly thrown pass by Russell.
Wilson won.
The game was on the line, and you had to start making some plays. Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lambs, they made him. It's as improbable as a wet as as I've ever win this show.
I got the goosebumps.
I appreciate NFL history, I appreciate Russell Wilson, and as he's visiting with the Browns and the Giants this week, and we're all like, Oh, if Rogers doesn't want to go to New York, maybe they go with Russell. Let's not forget the amazing career that this guy's had. Russell Wilson, You've always had the respect of our table. I've always had the respect of this guy. And I know I speak for everyone at the show. It's been an unbelievable NFL career. We're just curious where your journey takes you next.
Incredible, incredible collection, the master of the pure wet, incredible pure wet stuff. I also just want to shout out Jermaine Curse. Unbelievable.
Two and number one are Jermaine Curse.
And I'm watching him make that bobbling catch against the Patriots and he comes down and says, God, how did they not win that game?
How did that?
That's the Marshawn the Malcolm Butler, but Jermaine Curse left it all on the field. One of those great like it was him and Baldwin who just made plays and I love watching him.
Great job. What are you guys thinking of?
Man?
Prime Russ was an absolute dog.
I mean the types of magic he used to make, running in circles, getting all the way outside of the pocket, throwing this, running this way at full speed and throwing to the left.
I mean he was quite the dog.
And man, how much of a dog was Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett? Like these guys were some freaking dudes. I'm gonna miss that era of Prime Russ in Seattle.
I don't think there's really another quarterback in the NFL that could go through what he's gone through in the last three years and would still.
Be sought after.
I mean, these clips that we watched, this is what keeps people coming back.
We talk about Prime Rust. It was special.
I mean he was one on one at the time, and then now he's still sought after, like I said, and it's because of this, Peter.
How close is he is? It only down to two teams? Would he play for anybody? And how many more years do you think Russ has in him going at the rate that he has had to bounce around a lot Well.
I think there's this great, great contract right now. As two teams are waiting on Aaron Rodgers, maybe three, I don't know Minnesota's interest. But as they're waiting on Aaron r Russ is going on a full whistle stop tour to like sell his wares. And I think there's something very humbling about that. There's something actually very endearing about that Russell Wilson still wants to play in the NFL and he is taking his talents and he's going and meeting with these teams. You don't really see this anymore for veteran player, especially a guy like him. But Russ has no issue saying, hey, I want to still play football, and if it's for the Cleveland Browns, I'd love to be a Cleveland Browns quarterback.
Peter, It's perfect.
I think we should put together clips of guys that we just don't know the answer to yet and just retell everybody like Peter, this is why we care, this is why we want Russell to be playing somewhere.
Yes, the Benito Jones Top ten Plays is coming up.
On Monday, Cabinda, I know you will respect that one.
It's been a really great week on GMFB. Like we said, we're just working our way through the trenches of free agency. Isaac kroschel'sman with us for a couple of days. Jason Cabinda as well, and Kyle Brant, could I just ask you one more time to do the primary facial expression that you have made probably a dozen times already this week.
Could you just re wrack.
The Jason Cabinda experience for us and go nice nice, Because guys, while this may have been a Hard Knocks viral moment from circa twenty twenty two, twenty three, whatever.
Year was, it's still happening.
I just have to remind everyone that Jason Cobinda has not changed. This is still Cabinda GMFB experience or at Commanda Cobinda.
You're like this clip fools me around. No, dude, you are this clip at all times. Speak to it.
Oh my god, When does it end? When does it end?
You don't want it to end? It to who you are as a person.
We got it. I got it. Yes, you said. We played in usc Rolling Bowl and Cinco has a tweet an screenshot of my face. It was literally just my helmet with my eyes.
Just your eyes, just your eyes.
H
