Good Morning Football.
Welcome to Good Morning Football, brought to you by our friends at Old Trapper Beef Jerky. We have made it to a Friday. It is October twenty fifth. We are live in Los Angeles. I am surey birth alongside Akbar Baja Biamila, also Mantiteyo. Here at the table in New York City, we have our Peter Schrager. It might actually be feeling like Halloweener. Peter are less than a week away in Man. That game last night, the Rams looking scary good after some up and downs early, some.
Scary good traffic coming your way. Oh no, good news dropped a major news. I might want to leave soon to avoid traffic. So you got the Dodgers tonight downtown, You've got the Lakers tonight downtown, and you've got USC downtown.
Yeah, thank you. Well, I hope you weren't counting out the Rams.
In the NFC West, because my goodness, look at the standings as.
Of right now. Seahawks alone at four to three, but all.
The other three is basically three and four.
And anyone's game.
You can kind of say at this point just congestion.
Oh please, don't give me looking the GPS like that. So what's on this.
Late next for this Sunday for this division, Cardinals taking on the Dolphins, Seahawks playing Josh Allen and the Bills, and then Sunday Night football forty nine Ers and Cowboys. So that marquee matchup, primetime game Sunday Night, that's where we're going.
To start here, Peter. We saw excuse, we saw the forty nine ers.
They've really had their fair share of injuries. Cowboys maybe not living up to the expectations that we thought. But when you look at what the forty nine ers are up against big picture, what does this game mean.
For their division?
Well, I look at these two logos, and it's NFL history. It's Dwight Clark and the catch. It's Terrell Owens at the midfield in Dallas and George Tige knocking him down.
And it's all these.
Recent different playoff games that they have played where weird endings have led to forty nine Ers victories. And I look at the urgency that both of these logos have right now as we head in towards Week eight. I mean both teams might need these victories more than any other teams in the league. Speaking of just vibes and of course in their respective divisions. How about the Dallas Cowboys this week, coming off of a bye Mike McCarthy after all of the heat, and then Jerry saying he's good, We've got our guy. Then Jerry comes out and goes in some some long convoluted explanation about why Derek Henry doesn't make sense in their offense, as if you couldn't fit Derrick Henry into this well built machine that is just unstoppable over the years, and now they've got.
To go on the road.
I think the best thing for the Cowboys is that this game is not in Dallas. They have been embarrassed in Dallas. They lost by a ton against the Saints, they lost by a ton of against the Ravens until they came back, and then of course Detroit blew the doors off them. They get buy, they get out of town. Dack's engaged. You go to San Francisco and I look at the Niners. Two straight losses to the Cowboys and to the Chiefs, two teams that you're supposed to be in the same.
Conversation as at home. That's unacceptable.
Also, Dallas San Francisco doesn't have the lights and the glamour that it usually does because of these teams limping into this one. But gosh, the stakes have never been higher for a regular season game between these two. Maybe it goes back to their famous ninety four regular season matchup that they've played, when Aikman and Young were going at it and everybody was watching that one. This one, to me is important because of the loser who loses this game and if they lose, do they walk home after the game? In wrestling, they used to have that loser goes home match. That's what this feels like right now. I know it's not the end of the season for either, but I can't imagine waking up Monday and talking about the Cowboys again as losers, or in the same breath, the Niners as losers two games in a row in their home building against Super Bowl contenders.
Yeah, Pee, I'm so glad you brought up the fact that the Cowboys are coming off of this buy. We talked that nauseum about Troy Aikman's comments regarding the route running by the Dallas Cowboy receivers. I saw a quote by Ceedee Lamb. You know where Ceede Lamb's house. Cedy Lamb spent his bye week. He spent his bye week running routes with Dak Prescott. He spent his bye week kind of cultivate that chemistry that we've been so accustomed to seeing for the past couple of years.
And even though that.
Chemistry will get there, I remember last year, the last time the Dallas Cowboys took a visit to San Francisco. It wasn't pretty for the Dallas Cowboys last year. In twenty twenty three, I know that the San Francisco forty nine ers are dealing with a lot of injuries, and it's so weird the contrast between the La Rams, who we just saw who's getting back all of their pieces, and the San Francisco forty nine ers, who seems to be losing peace after peace.
Every week they go.
So this is definitely a must win for both teams. If you look at I remember we're looking at the NFC West standings. Yesterday, the Rams are in last place. In twenty four hours, the Rams are now in third. By the end of this week, the Rams could possibly be in second, fighting for first. So Sean McVay said, Matt Stafford had a look in his eye. Matt Stafford also has first place in NFC West look in his eyes. He knows that it's attainable with everybody's right there. And the scary part about the La Rams is, out of all of those teams on that list, the La Rams as of last night, look like the team that Kyle, that Peter, that off bar that everybody on this program has been hyping up since the preseason being the favorite in the NFC West.
They looked scary last night. It was beautiful. It was art. Me as a fan, I loved watching it.
So going into this game between the Niners and the Cowboys, it's a must win for both. It's just going to be you know, who executes and what do we get to see on Sunday.
Well, I will say this the forty nine ers, they have a little bit of that desperation because you were just talking about that man Tye with the injuries. I have a bye week coming after this game against the Dallas Cowboys, so I think it's like thugging it out just as what it is going to have to come to. They're gonna have to thug it out get this win. They're at the bottom right now. It's really congested in the NFC West, but they give themselves an opportunity beating up against a Dallas Cowboys that right now. Offensively they struggle, especially with giveaways. They've been giving the ball away. And you look at that defense for the forty nine ers. This team, they force those takeaways, they go out there and they make those plays. It's a very opportunistic defense. They hustle hard. And that's why I'm excited when I watch this because that NFC West, that congestion, they're gonna have to be some sort of separation and this is a great opportunity for the forty nine ers to do that.
You got to remember that Brandon Ayuk out for the rest of the season having that knee injury, tearing his ACL.
We gotta see Iftebo Samuel's back out there.
But as we said, it is just congestion in the NFC West. But currently as of Friday morning, on top are the Seahawks.
They face the Bills.
Peter, I feel like our question as we look at this one is is which team are we going to get and will they play like the best team in the NFC West.
That's the thing, Like there went away from being that team that's the lead Dogs and it's a seatles team that we saw lose three straight games and not exactly an impressive fashion. The Giants went into Seattle a couple of weeks ago. The Giants, who cannot score went into Seattle and absolutely handled their business and did so with their defensive line dominating. Now they got guys back, They've gotten defensive players back. Seattle is a legitimate team and a lot of people in America have not had the opportunity to watch them.
They played on prime time against the forty nine ers and it.
Was you know, a lot of injuries, a lot of players missing, and they lost at home to the Niners. Then they go on a longer week because they had ten days to think about it, and they go and they absolutely dismantle the Falcons and you're like, wait a second, what version of the Seahawks team?
Are we getting big test for them?
I keep on saying who's calling the game, And I know you're like rolling your eyes, like who cares who's broadcasting the game? I think it matters that you've got Tom Brady, Kevin Burkhart, Aaron Ane on this call on Tom Rinaldi, like you got, Fox's a team was assigned to this game.
Seahawks in the last few years in the vast you.
Know, I'd say five years, very rarely are they the prime game on Fox. Very rarely are they the team everyone's watching. I think this is a really good opportunity for Mike McDonald, Ryan Grupp, for these guys who really haven't been seen by everybody, to showcase what they can do and why they matter in the NFC West. We talked Bills a lot on the show. We don't talk a ton of Seahawks. If they win on Sunday, we're gonna have to.
Yeah.
What we're also don't talk a lot about is the Buffalo Bills offense hasn't been producing the way that we've been used to seeing them produce. And I remember watching the last week's game against the Tennessee Titans. It was a struggle Pete for the first for that first half, and things really didn't change until Tennessee went for that fourth down on their side of the fifty on that forty yard line and didn't get it. And that's what kind of gave the Buffalo Bills that sparked. That's what kind of pushed them to start scoring those points. But until then it was kind of a they'll mat with the Tennessee Titans team that's kind of decimated in their own way. So for me, it's looking at the two teams. Who starts to get that stride. It's like Forrest Gump as he's running with those braces on. Who starts to get those braces off first? And when they start to get that stride, who takes off.
And they run with it?
And speaking of the word run, I'm always going to talk about Kenneth Walker. I know that the Seattle Seahawks in twenty twenty four has played a lot of their snaps and shotgun and has thrown the ball a lot this year, but that Kenneth Walker is such a special player. His ability. He reminds me of Leveon Bell a little bit. How he's just so patient beyond the line of scrimmage. And once he decides to get boys, Yeah, once he decides to get vertical, he's gone and he's hard to tackle. Need I think they need to feed him a lot, especially if DK Metcalf doesn't play this game. Get Kenneth Walker going, get him to be Forrest Gump, let him run a little bit, and good things happen when Kenneth Walker is playing well. But this game is going to come down to who can establish a run? Can James Cook come alive? I know that James Cook has been out with injuries and you know riddled with injuries too, So who can establish a run in this game is going to determine the winner.
Yeah, you could Cook came back, you know last week, you know, starting to get started. I think the combination of Ray Davis and Cook. I think that could be really really helped this offense. But you know, Peter, when you were talking about this, this is like low key, and that it shouldn't even be low key. You should be high key. It's like the game of the week. I mean, it's a really exciting game, especially when you think about, you know, what the Bills have been done.
They bring in Amari Cooper.
You know, they know that they need to stay in front of this AFC because the AFC is very competitive. They're trying to stay in front of the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs, and they're trying to be in that mix in the AFC because they still have a lot to fight for. And then on the other side, Seattle, they've got some teams behind them, Surgeon, you know, all out of the Rams, what we saw last night in Thursday Night Football, I mean, they know that they need this one as well.
So I think this is why.
You're going to get this matchup to by you know, implementing Kenneth Walker into the matchup. We're going to see some exciting plays, exciting football on Sunday.
Need to keep in mind though, as Manta you mentioned at DK metcalfeling with a knee injury.
Gonna have to see if he's going to play.
But as we look at the NFC West, a lot of injuries HEO those receipt together are just like woo oh yeah, that's kind of what the injury exactly report looks like. So let's bring in our NFL Network insider Ian Rappaport to get us caught up to speed out. And we talked about at Cowboys nine Ers that's a heated rivalry, but there are a lot of injuries that we need to keep an eye on, particularly looking at that San Francisco side, Yeah.
Let's talk about those San Francisco injuries. Obviously, we know by now Brandon Auk not going to play this Sunday or for the rest of the season, out with a torn acl MCL and more.
But they do get a couple of their key guys.
Who should be on the field to start with Jordan Mason, who has emerged as they're starting running back for about half of the season. Ever since Christian McCaffrey went out with that Achilles tenanitis, he's been a limited participant both practice stayed so far this week deal with that ac joints brain in his shoulder, same thing as last week. He had fourteen carries, seemed fine. I expect him to play.
This actually might be the.
Last game where Jordan Mason is the bellcow fort Niners have a buy Christian McCaffrey should start practicing and there's a very good chance and McCaffrey is on the field November tenth for the forty nine ers next game. If you have Jordan Mason in fantasy, this might be your last hurrah with this one. Meanwhile, Deebo Samuel, who did play last week but played very very little dealing with pneumonia actually ended up in the hospital with.
Fluid in his lungs. It was certainly a.
Serious situation where he got a pretty important medical help very quickly. Didn't practice on Wednesday, but was back at practice yesterday on a limited basis. It's a situation where if he feels good enough, then he would be able to play. The fact that he practiced yesterday means at least there is a good shot for him to be out there on Sunday.
Are definitely two guys that we know. The forty nine ers need to get back and so they want to have out there on the field.
Ian.
We appreciate you, Thank you well. Coming up a guy.
You need for your fantasy lineup, Adam Ring joining us here on GMFB. We need some sleepers, Adam, come on.
My lineup's looking a little so, how's yours up?
Bar?
My life is actually pretty good. I actually one last week? All right, bubble bragg, bubble b plus.
How do you mix your favorite music with play calling? We call that a remix?
See what you did there?
Find out next don good morning football, stay with us, Good Morning Football.
But welcome back to GMFB. We have our whiteboards. Gonna play a little version of we and we out on a Friday. So looked at former Jets head coach Robert Salah. He is hanging around his buddy Matt Lafleur helping out the Packers this week at practice. Their friendship dating mac to two thousand and four. You see them there together here, but they work together at Central Michigan University.
So this inspired a question.
Your favorite NFL buddy duo?
One?
Two?
Right there, Peter, where are you taking us first? For your favorite NFL buddy duo.
There's a great sports media reporter at the Athletic name Andrew Marshandon. He has this take that everybody wants to cover sports media that like the sports media world, our world is almost covered as much as the NFL. Here's my sports media take in a year where Belichick is on fifteen different outlets trashing the Patriots, and where Brady is on Sundays talking about games on Fox, my favorite buddy duo is Gronk and Jewels from that era.
Gronk and Jewels.
These guys have.
A podcast right now and it's told like dudes on dudes, and it's the most comfortable listen.
And I get to work with these guys.
On Sunday, and it is like i'd say, big brother, little brother, but like they interchange roles. They are as authentic as it gets. They are funny and they are insightful, and they tell it like it is. Enjoying the Belichick year of media, and I'm sure he'll be coaching next year, enjoying Brady in the booth. Love our McCarty brothers, you know, we love our McCarty brothers. But when it comes to the Expatriots that I love.
The most listening to right now, it might be these guys.
I'm gonna say, Buddy Duogronkin Jewels, awesome guys, great media presence right now.
Yeah, you know, I like that one. That's a really good one. I got one that's uh. And they had a very healthy relationship. I'm going to go with Brown Rice, Tim Brown and Jerry Rice with the Oakland Raiders. These guys, now, I have the pleasure in two thousand and three my rookie season to play with both of these guys, and I mean, you couldn't have had a a better tandem of wide receivers.
And then the friendship that they had. They were always.
Talking about golf on a Tuesday they were out there doing everything golf, talking golf, teaching me how to play golf.
But I just love the relationship. Cool story.
I got into a fight in practice with a guy by the name of Frank Milton who just kept pestering me, and so we got into a fight and he got bad and I got kicked out of practice, I got sent home, I got fined twenty five thousand dollars, and Jerry Rice and Tim Brown came to my rescue. They came to my rescue.
And reversed the fine for me.
Yes, I was an undrafted guy, so twenty five thousand dollars. I was like, dang man, come over, Yeah, that hits so thank you Tim, thank you Jerry. Those we are good friends right there.
I love that off for us.
I love that, you know, kind of feeding off of Pete's guys, Gronk and Jeweles. His duo understands and knows these two very well, because my two is Ray Lewis and Anne Reid as sugar and quick.
Let's just watch this like this was a whole era. Let me tell you something.
Gronk, Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, Peyton Manning, they knew very well who these two were they knew. I believe Tom Brady it was had on his wristband.
Find number twenty. That was ed Reid.
Fine wherever ed Reid was because he was going to rec games. These were the guys that I grew up with. Now, these are the guys that had those entrances, They had those dances. These were the guys who transcended the game. I grew up wanted to be like Ed Reed, like Troy Pola model. I grew up wanted to be like Ray Lewis. Those are the guys that really helped me to develop the kind of mentality that I had playing this game. So my dynamic duel probably the two greatest to ever play the game at their position. Ray Lewis won the Defensive Player of the Year in three, Ed Reed wanted in four, the only duo to win Defensive Player.
Of the Year in the NFL back to back years. That's my duo.
Oh wow, like your shout out for your ig handle on the top.
I tried to stuff you know what I'm saying.
We're gonna move on before lapped around for that before we get to this question. Now we're going to listen to Cliff Kingsbury talk about the play that led to Ben Sinnet's touchdown.
This Weekend tight Ed John beaton Ben sid fake it Mariota.
Prussia by touchdown the first of his NFL career.
Rookie out of Kansas State.
His first catch was a touchdown and the play was called Taylor Swift. So you can't really beat that to start your NFL scoring career. The tight Ends came up with the names. You'd had to ask them, But I think he must like Taylor Swift on like a deeper level.
Yeah, it might be a deep cut, so shrikes.
You tweeted this. Cliff Berry is a swift.
Ye, Yeah, yeah, Cliff Cliff loves loves his swift. The Cliff is one of these guys that has aclectic taste. You might see him at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. You might see him in Thailand taking a trip. You might see him. He also loves Taylor Swift as someone I know. So yes, Cliff Kingsbury is a swifty and if you notice Ben Sinnett, he brought.
The boom in the end that had to come back on a Friday. Is that play like shake it off? Maybe t Swift a little of that.
AnyWho, that's a different conversation. What play would you name after a musician? So musical artist play call? Peter, are you following your friend Cliff here and going with the A t Swift angle?
I'm not, In fact, I'm going to go with maybe the rival to Taylor Swift. You know, Taylor Swift might not be the hottest name in music anymore. This chapel Rone is coming, and my play call is the run right up the middle and you knock over someone like an angry run. Chapel Roone is got to cover in New York Times this week, Big story, number one on Billboard, number one everywhere. I know the Eers tour is happening. But Taylor's got some competition. So if there's a Taylor Swift play call that might have been the thing in twenty twenty two or twenty twenty three, twenty twenty four, it might be Chapel roone, chepi ron and then run right up the gut and you knock someone over. I'm here for today, and this might be the competitor coming for Taylor's crown.
She's on SNL, isn't she She's coming up on snay.
Yeah, we got controversy.
All right, all right, so that's your offensive play call, right there, Peter.
I'm gonna go defense.
I'm gonna go defense, and I'm gonna go back to the nineties. I'm gonna go with my man, Tupac and the nation.
Yeah, come see me.
This is a come see me blitz right now I'm talking about I'm sending in everybody.
I mean, you gotta be quick with it. I'm sending the whole crew.
And you know what the quarterback is gonna be thinking, Oh shoot, I better see everything quickly because Tupac thug life. Right here, you have JBD just ball. This one is thug life, fuck life starting all them little shit, you know, short motions and what I'm like, we can't keep up with your motions. Talk life Likeac right there, Tupac right there?
All right, I love it.
I love We took it back to Cali because Maya Oh, also from Cali man, one of the legends, Rest in peace, Nipsey hustle.
Oh.
The greatest play ever ran in a football game, victory lap. It's victory formation. This is the best play defense offense. When you when you're a team that has victory formation. This is this is that play. So all I want to hear as a teammate is victory.
That's it.
I know that it's going to be champagne showers. It's going to be celebration in the locker room because we want so. Whenever I hear Nipsy, obviously I have. The marathon continues here. You know, Prinsha is shout out to a legend.
This is a play.
This is an artist who exemplified everything in life that you'd want to be, as far as a human being, treating people with respect, aspiring to be something greater than yourself. Nipsey, hustle all the respect the play.
Come on, neighborhood for your drawing skills, I mean.
Minor and art over there.
Oh no, nice to honor.
That's cool.
Quickly, I didn't really have an answer, but Peter, I thought, maybe you'd go this single to Jelly roll a big man touchdown. You can throw it an offensive lineman, a lineman in there.
It's a good one. I like that great call. Kelly rolls down one hundred pounds, Sherry.
He was talking somewhere. He's down one hundred pounds, So shout out to Jelly.
He's getting it going. I'm happy for him Munich.
The Giant square off against the Panthers on NFL Network, Rise, Shine and watch Sunday, November tenth at nine thirty Eastern right here on NFL Network and NFL Plus.
Subscription required for NFL Plus.
The Lightons Lions getting set to take on the Titans Sunday, but they'll be doing it without wide receiver Jamison Williams as he serves a two game suspension. Williams suspended by the NFL for violating the league's Performance enhanceding Substances policy. Williams saying in a statement that the news came to him as a surprise, but he's accepted the two game suspension, adding quote, at no time have I ever taken something in an attempt to cheat or look for an unfair advantage. I understand that I am responsible for everything that goes into my body, and I have to take accountability in this instance and other news.
Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Was limited in practice for a second straight day Thursday as he deals with knee and hamstring injuries. The Jets taking on the Patriot Sunday, and new Chiefs receiver DeAndre Hopkins on the practice field Thursday, sporting a new number. He's worn number ten for his previous three teams, but that number is worn by Isaiah Pacheco.
So here's de hop on his new number eight. Saw number eight in there?
Is that going to be your number? And soon's significance.
Kobe Bryant one of my favorite athletes of all times. So I knew if I ever got the chance to wear a number eight, you know, just like when I picked number ten, Messi was my favorite, you know, soccer player Underdult felt like me at the time coming out of college.
And you know Kobe, you know it's number. He's a special number, you know.
Man tis fired up for that mamba mentality. Wide receiver Justin Ross, who's on the practice squad, was wearing number eight, but he'll switch now to number eighty two. Casey hoping Hopkins brings that mamba mentality to their receiving course here.
Yeah, and we'll see if he can go out there and do that. Omar, thank you so much. Now, it was a special visit outside here Sofi Stadium and our guy mantite I got an exclusive tour.
Take a look what we're talking about.
Welcome everybody, to the Madden Cruiser. First, we have right here is a little history of Madden.
You have the timeline of all of the things that he's done throughout his Hall of Fame career.
Over here, this is when the game starts to kick in. You guys, I have this one, but I need this one. It just brings back so many memories. We will come back here. We also have an area where we can do podcasts and they do live streaming of the games.
It's Disneyland for anybody who loves the Game of Madden.
As I do. But what do we have here?
Is this a sceptor.
Kyle Brant is right next to the three D bus of John Madden himself. Now, out of all the great things on this bus, it's just missing one thing, shout out JMFB.
Yay, Yeah, I love that.
It's kind of like you did, like an episode of Cribs, Like you talked to us through the bus.
How was that for you?
That's so cool?
I was.
I was trying to represent the GMFB fam, you know, I was stating there, I saw the scepter and I was like, oh, I've never had the sceptor before, So I was I was I was a little shy to grab that thing because I didn't know I was I am.
I even worthy to grab this thing.
But being on that that bus, it was it was so cool, man. It was like a trip down my childhood to see all the games that I used to play and when I was young, and then also the history of John Madden. And you know, that's the type of bus that I would love to take on a road trip, Like if you if I had that bus on a road trip, it would be the most enjoyable road trip ever created. But just to have the crew there, they had TVs everywhere, obviously, they had different type of consoles. Everything was centered around the Madden game. And man, it was such an honor to be there, to witness it, to experience it, and to also you know, represent GMFB. I had to put that. I had to put that bumper stick around there. You know, guys, I made sure that I was on their solid We.
So appreciate it. Hopefully it's there forever man, TI, very cool work.
I love it.
You're really spanding now beyond being an ex player. Now you're really you're on the ground. You're an investigative journalist.
Here's what I would say.
There is part of me that wants to suggest going on a good morning football road trip on a bus like the Madden Curtain, like hitting city after city and.
Coming around and saying, all right, we're gonna go to this gate.
And then I think of.
Kyle Brant in those close quarters, and I think about it for like one day of Kyle like mumbling to himself and listening to Pantera and then watching the movie the program on loop all day and like pumping himself up doing push ups, and I think I'm good.
I think I'm.
It'd be a short how do you know?
Teesus like that? I was like, where's Peter Gold with this? Sounds like a really good idea?
See it now?
On the bus late to San Francisco. Not a long drive, but like a road trip. Yeah, I'm picking it up, Peter, a road.
Trip from Elwood tol. Yes. You know, for me, what do you think John Madden was everything?
I mean, you know, after technic bol like was going, it was John Madden and so just seeing you know, man tie in there and just kind of going through the history.
Fun fact.
I mean, of course, now that you're a journalist and investigative journalist, John Madden actually started his coaching career with San Diego State or that was part of his startup before he got to the NFL. San Diego State and he was an assistant professor at San Diego State. So I had learned a lot about John Madden when I got to San Diego State and to be able to meet him when I made it to the NFL, it was really it was really cool.
So you know that you had to explain that.
They also had like a memorabilia kind of representation of his contract.
I don't know if it's an exact.
Contract in there.
It was in there, bro and it was like again, it's like going through a museum.
It was so cool.
And they had three different sections of different pillars in his career from coaching to You.
Would visit mantion like where is that? You know, I'm outside?
It was right outside. It was literally right outside the building. I think that, you know, I.
Put the sticker on there, so we should be good guys.
How'd you film it?
How'd you film it?
Man?
We had NFL Network came out.
There was in there, and you know, they had both videos in there, and we're they're just following me around and asked them Okay, what do we want to do? And I was like, let's play some games. I was like, you get on the stick to the metal bus. No, I mean I didn't want to overstay my welcome guys. I was trying to make a good impression. I was like, all my friends aren't here, so you're going to play with the computer.
No, I don't want to play with the computer.
You can to play with bar I want to throw.
You can't go to the Madden bus and not pick up the sticks and start playing a little bit. It's like going to the White House and not taking some sort of memorabilia like the paper.
Take anything from the Yeah, I took.
I took the paper napkin from the paper napkin.
I was national treasure over here.
So get him.
Somebody to get him, please, Peter, Come on.
Peter, get us out of here.
I'm good. I don't I don't steal. I'm not something some does that.
I went stationary from from Sherry Burris says from the desk of Sherry Burr, I got, Okay, who's.
Your team in Madden?
That's a oh, the Miami Dolphins. Dolphins? About you?
Pete Falcons vic to Finner in and Crumpler.
Let's go. Oh how about cool?
How going dude's playing with him in their Madden games the days you return in the field last night, tons of smiles of Fantasy owners. Autam Rakes standing by to make sure your set for the weekend, and uh we love gm F b sha.

Yeah, big matchup and Pooka Nakula you were like on the forefront of this returning from the Rams. We also talk about Cooper Cupp in this return just field a lottery ticket.
How did you see me.
When we recorded Fantasy Live in the morning, I was like, I don't know. And then when I got home, I had a couple of York peppermint patties and it inspired me and I said you know what, the heck with it, I'm going Pooka Nakula and the internet is always very supportive or like, Rank, you're a clown. I'm doing the opposite. I'm fading what Rank says, I'll never do it. Oh, everybody's going anti Pooka.
Unfortunately I didn't work out for a lot of those foods. We had a lot of fun. There was a lot of people who are like, I'm.
Doing it too, and we had a big community of folks who were excited about Pooka Nakua and his return to the NFL.
Yeah, they waking up happy this morning with that return. So looking ahead to the rest of Week eight, there's a quarterback you like despite missing some of their most important tools.
You know what, I think that brock Party is one of the most unfairly criticized quarterbacks in the NFL. Like, he never gets a break for what he's been able to do as the quarterback of the forty nine ers. They say it's the weapons, and then they're like, Okay, he gets rid of all his weapons and.
He's still effective.
Like last week he salvaged his fantasy day by rushing for a pair of touchdowns.
But I will point out that he's had.
At least fifteen Fantasy points in five consecutive games.
He's had thirty Fantasy.
Points in two of those five, and I understand, like, yeah, there's a lot of guys missing, but the one thing that we've seen out of Kyle Shanahan over the years is that he gets the most of the talent out there on the field.
So I got Brock party in here.
And I'll say this too, because we're trying to figure out who starts over Patrick Mahomes. It's a big thing we do because Patrick Mahomes on pace for seventeen touchdown.
Passes this season. Shout out to Jeff Radcliffe. He said that.
I heard him say that this morning. But it's wild the way it goes. But I love Brock Purty this week.
Wow.
Okay, it's interesting because you're wearing the Bear shirt and I'm trying to go through my memory here. I don't know if the Bears fans have had a more relaxing, like ten days than this Chicago Bears fandom has.
They go to London, they play in the early window.
Yeah, blow a team out, and then.
Just have like a whole entire week to relationship and enjoy the moment as supposed to be stressing out about what just happened and who's up next. The bye week came at the perfect time because they could enjoy an amazing victory, but they play.
This weekend against Washington. Tell us, who would you ride on the Bear side? Knowing that you're wearing.
The T shirt and you've had a nice little fifteen days of enjoying this little honeymoon after the win.
It's very amazing.
It's very Unbears like, and it's been the first time we've really enjoyed this since the Lovey Smith era, where I can remember.
Being like, ah, this is cool.
We're going into the bye week, have nothing to stress over, and I'm not going to stress over the running back position because I have DeAndre Swift, who has been absolutely fabulous over the last number of weeks. He's had at least twenty Fantasy points in three consecutive games, longest active streak among non quarterbacks, twenty plus touches, one hundred plus yards, and over that time. The Bears were struggling the first two weeks offensively, trying to find an identity, trying to figure out what they wanted to do. And then they had a thing called the Leadership Council who came together and kind of sat down with Shane Waldron and was.
Like, this is what we like, this is what we don't like. Cole Comet wasn't being.
Used enough, and they figured out a way to make everybody successful, get everybody involved in.
Its stemmed from DeAndre Swift running.
The football, a player that we liked coming into this season, and we've seen it and now he's got a great matchup against the Washington Commanders and it's fun and it's fun to have a rival. I'm old enough to remember when our rivals were Washington in San Francisco.
You're not old enough to remember this. There is worse.
Joe.
Wait, hold on, sound guy, Joe. Remember the sound guy Joe remembers.
In the eighties, the Packers were a non factor. Nobody cared. Now out stop it. You asked my dad. He'll be like, no, I don't don't know who Packers like?
Whatever was was this the fifties?
No, it was always washed with Joe Gibbs and Bill Wallace with the forty nine ers rank.
You know, I'm gonna ask the same question I asked, give me a receiver.
What reces is not the question you have every week.
It's going to get to a point where I'm just gonna look at you and you can.
Know exactly what the receiver scept that I'm not dressed up.
Yeah, I'm I was going to ask you, but you know, you seem like you was in a little movie.
But I remember, I need.
To know what's happening. This is the true story. I'm still here from last night's game. The traffic is still backed up at Arbor Vita, like you can't.
There's still security guards out there. I was walking by.
There's these two guys named Ian and Charlie hanging out in a rams van, wreaking of bacon wrapped hot dogs, and I'm like, what is going on? We're still like, everybody's still here, Like, what is going on? I don't understand, Adam, I was talking earlier. I'm in New York here where it's not exactly an open road either, but USC home, Dodgers home, and the Lakers home. Give us a little take, maybe thirty seconds before you get to your wide receiver on traffic.
Tonight in downtown Los Angeles.
You know what, Thankfully I live in Orange County. So I'm not gonna once I get out of this building, I'm they got a big high school game, I know, so fine, Like there's everything going off. That's that's what the good thing about California is that they decided to have no public transportation. We had it like if you watched l A Confidential like that was pretty true, Like there were street cars everywhere.
And then GM came.
In here like yeah, yeah, you know, we're gonna get rid of all that. We're gonna give everybody automobiles and we're gonna make it in supperable.
Here's the best part about it. We're gonna raise your gas prices. Perfect, Okay, And I'm stop and I'm sitting here. I'm sorry.
Oh I didn't get to drake London because it's not as funny when Jamie's not here. But I do want to talk about I do want to talk about Khalif Raymond.
Though with Jake. Can I say that Jamison Williams is out.
I got barked at on the Fantasy Show this week, okbar you remember, oh oh gosh, I made that remark.
We have a we have an announced thing.
Yet I'm a god side Khalif Raymond in a tough matchup against the Tennessee Tie. I think this is a huge opportunity for him. He's at least eleven Fantasy points in back to back games. I think he can go out there and get something going again. Like when you're looking at the matchups like somethiyah the Titans, that's a tough one, but it's like it's the Lions, Like the Lions had built up enough trust that you can go out and start all their guys. I know a lot of people have questions about Sam Laporta. This is one of the biggest things I want to say about Sam Laporta. This It's gonna happen at some point because Ben Johnson has not unleashed Sam Laporta, because he hasn't needed to. Remember last season when they had Jimier Gibbs, they slow played him and then they went out there in the last half.
Of the season.
Jamier Gibbs one of the best running backs in the NFL, one of the best running backs in fantasy. I truly believe that Sam Laporta's breakout is gonna come at some point.
Trade for him, all right, So I'm putting putting Raymond in right now. If he fails, don't get no, I'm putting them in wild all right.
I just case Bears fan said, trust Lines, that is your expert. Then the ex represented by FedEx Adam Frank. We always appreciate you.
