By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - The unpredictable opening and closing of beaches in Durban due to e.Coli levels has prompted local scientists to develop a real time website to monitor and alert beach-goers as to the safest places to bathe. "Woz'Olwandle" which translates to "Come to the Beach" is the brain child of UKZN Civil Engineering Senior Lecturer Dr Justin Pringle, Professor Derek Stretch and Dave Mardon. Dr. Pringle says the website uses data from "talbot" - a water testing and solution company - to track e.Coli levels by forecasting wind, rain and storm water drain flow into Durban beaches...
