By Newsbreak Producer, Tashlan Naidoo - Four people have reportedly been killed due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms at the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. It is alleged that three people were washed away while another was struck by lightning. This follows torrential rainfall which caused major damage to roads, infrastructure and homes in the Margate CBD overnight. Disaster management teams are on high alert for more damaging storms in the area as the South African Weather Service has issued a level 5 warning for heavy downpours until this evening. The CBD and some surroundings areas were also left without electricity overnight until this morning due to a sub-station being damaged.
