08/10/26: Senator Tina Smith became Minnesota’s 48th Lieutenant Governor in 2015, was appointed to the U.S. Senate in 2017 and won in 2020 for her full 6-year term. She announced in February that she will not run for reelection. Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan and Congresswoman Angie Craig are both hoping to win the August 11th primary for the November election.
