October is co-op month! Joel is live from Red River Communications to celebrate

10/04/24: Ahead of the big football game at the Fargodome this weekend where the NDSU Bison will host the UND Fighting Hawks, Joel Heitkamp is joined on KFGO by Josh Swanson. 

Josh serves on the NDSU Team Makers Board of Directors and enjoys tailgating for Bison football, and can be found most winters in his court side seats to Bison basketball games. He also writes a column and hosts a weekly podcast for Bison Illustrated magazine, advised the NDSU Blue Key student group, and is an active participant in NDSU’s Foundations of Leadership mentoring program.

10/04/24: Joel Heitkamp is joined on KFGO radio by the head coach of UND football, Bubba Schweigert. The 2024 season will be the 11th for head coach Bubba Schweigert. It will mark the fifth season for the Fighting Hawks as members of the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Joel chats with Coach Schweigert ahead of the football game this weekend at the Fargodome where the Fighting Hawks will play the NDSU Bison.

10/03/24: Joel Heitkamp is joined in the KFGO studio by Ryan Younggren to get some clarification on a case involving child sex abuse. Ryan is the Assistant Cass County States Attorney, and has over 24-years of experience as a trial lawyer, prosecutor and professor at UND. He’s currently running for judge in the East Central Judicial District.

The North Dakota Supreme Court recently ruled Cass County prosecutors inappropriately admitted evidence in a child sex abuse trial against David Gaddie. Cass County Assistant States Attorneys Ryan Younggren and Renata Olafson Selzer prosecuted after the Grand Forks County State’s Attorney’s Office recused itself from the case.
