08/21/26: Fargo Wards for Equal Representation wants to replace the city’s commission system with a ward-based city council where representatives would be required to live in the areas they serve. Former Fargo City Commissioner Arlette Preston and Fargo resident and minister Sekou Sirleaf join Joel Heitkamp on "News and Views" to talk about the potential ward system. 

A date has been set for a special election in Fargo that will address changing the city commission to a ward-based council instead of an at-large commission. The election will be held October 6.
