Dan is filling in for Joel Heitkamp, and is joined by his former colleague in the North Dakota State Legislature, Bruce Laughlin. A resident of Finley, he served in the North Dakota House of Representatives from 1971 until 1978 and from 1983 to 1994.

Billie is a fifth-generation farmer from Rolla, ND, and a 2022 NDSU agriculture economics graduate. Billie also works full-time as a marketing, communications and recruitment manager at Legacy Cooperative. She serves on the board of directors for the North Dakota Soybean Growers Association and is a member of the Global Farmer Network.
