09/13/24: A state district judge struck down North Dakota's abortion ban yesterday, saying that the state constitution creates a “fundamental right” to access abortion before a fetus is viable. District Judge Romanick wrote in an order that the abortion law — one of the strictest in the country — was too vague.

Meetra Mehdizadeh is a staff attorney for the Center for Reproductive Rights. Prior to joining the Center, she worked as an agency attorney at the New York City Commission on Human Rights. She joins Joel on "News and Views" to talk about this important ruling for North Dakotans.
