With the occasion of the swearing in of a new President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Monday, January 20, comes a recollection of the time at the Capital in 1813 when the British Army marched in and through that city in the War of 1812. Burning of the Capitol and the White House was followed by the march on Baltimore and Fort McHenry at its harbor, The Star-Spangled Banner composed as a poem there later became our national anthem.
