Koreatown Shelter Fight: The Aftermath

View descriptionShare

Originally aired June 25, 2019: Josie Huang closely followed major protests over a proposed housing shelter in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles. She suspected that those protests — and charges of NIMBYism by Korean immigrants — had changed the tight-knit community. She also believed those changes were going unreported. She spent seven months in the community to produce a deeply reported 4-part audio series.
