Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz joined Morning Edition host Austin Cross to discuss his new album "Grandma's Gospel Favorites," a collection of hymns he recorded nearly 20 years ago as a Christmas gift for his grandmother. Mraz told Cross the album was never meant for public release, but friends and family eventually convinced him to share it. He also opened up about the tension he felt putting out a gospel record as a member of the LGBTQ community.
