Registration is now open for the YMCA Summer Camp, which runs from June 9th through August. There is a special early-bird pricing happening now through March 24th - and parents can always apply for the YMCA Summer Camp Scholarship Opportunity. Camp Features a weekly schedule, where parents can choose they weeks they want their kids to go, and includes the Quest summer learning program, pool, outdoor activities, playgrounds and more. Camp is broken down by age group with before and aftercare available. (15 - 18:19) On this episode of Veterans Voices host Nick Toma finds Wilkes Barre resident Kelly Grivner-Kelly and hears about her struggle with finding a new job after relocating with her military spouse. After little luck she discovered Higher Heroes USAs Career Assistance Program, "Serving Spouses". The group Helps with career coaching, resume writing, mock interviews and helping veterans and spouses of military personnel find jobs. The group has found over 100 thousands jobs for military spouses and veterans so far, including overseas. And a recent dedication to Pennsylvania National Guard 28th infantry division in 1944 inside Belgium forest in the Battle of the Bulge. The 28th was able to hold off the Nazis long enough for reinforcements to join the fight. Nearly 19 thousand US soldiers died with many more wounded. (18:20 - 30) - Today is the 45t Wilkes-Barre City Saint Patrick's Parade and City Events Coordinator Mike Slusser stops by to tell listeners about he event! The parade will kick off at 2pm, moving down South Main Street until reaching Public Square. Roughly 100 groups and over 1,500 participants will be on hand, including local leaders, nonprofits, groups and businesses. Five giant balloons will also be a part of the lineup. This year's grand Marshal is City Police Captain Mike Boyle.
