The nonprofit began in 2020 after Covid-19 closures put forth a need for continued services, support and education for families with members on the spectrum. Then Meghan Carnevale discusses heart health and what programs the Greater Scranton YMCA offers to keep you heart healthy and active! Plus, de-stress your mind and start the new year off right with a free class from their Wellbeing Initiative - a grant-funded program that's free and open to all residents to benefit mental health. Finally we welcome the North Pocono Cultural Society's President, Michele Orrson, and Treasurer, Lisa Duffy, to talk about the organization that serves roughly 8 communities. The North Pocono Cultural Society's goal is to promote and preserve the arts - across all forms - within their communities. The group holds numerous annual events, including the Moscow Country Street Fair. The organization supports area students through scholarships, and has provided over $36,000 in funds to North Pocono High School students over the last decade.
