(00-12:49) Sarah Donahue kicks off today's show, because the 12th annual Pittston Saint Patrick's Parade gets underway on Saturday, March 1st! The event is the kickoff to the area's holiday festivities and carries a full-day lineup of events for the whole family - starting with 8:30am Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church. Then, the Leprechaun Loop 5k/1-mile run/walk starts at the Greater Pittston YMCA at 10:30. You can register day-of starting at 9am and proceeds from the event benefit Allied Services and has prizes for best costumes. Finally, it's parade time! Procession goes down Main Street with stepoff at 11:30am. Donahue, parade co-chair, said this year's Grand Marshal will be Peter "PJ" Adonizio. The event is still looking for volunteers - you can learn more and sign up for any of the events by following their Facebook!

(12:50-20:47) After taking a short holiday break the Swoyersville Kiwanis Club is back to holding a slurry of community events, and Club President Kathleen Breznay returns to tell us all about it! Kiwanis are a national organization that has clubs throughout communities across the country, aiming to raise funds to support the children - and more - of their area!  Calling all area seniors - the Swoyersville Kiwanis are holding Scholarship Awards! You can get a $1,000 scholarship if you are a senior and reside in Swoyersville, Forty-Fort or Luzerne. But hurry! - application deadline is coming up in March! Breznay said the group is also hosting a night at the races on March 8th, as well as an AMBA Blood Analysis program on March 29th! Tickets are available for either event through Kiwanis Club members.

(20:48-30:06) - The 3rd annual Rock n Radio Bowl is almost here, and Keith Mhley stops by to tell listeners about its importance. Mhley helped form Foundation 58 in 2005 following the death of his uncle and Hazleton City Deputy Fire Chief, Gabe Mhley. Since then, the group's mission has been to bring aid and awareness to first responders battling conditions brought on from their careers - such as cancer, PTSD and more. Cumulus Media has partnered with Foundation 58 for each Rock n Radio Bowl, giving a portion of proceeds to the area nonprofit. To date, Foundation 58 has raised around $400,000 towards its cause, and is celebrating its 20th anniversary in April!  The event will be held Sunday, March 2nd at Chacko's Family Bowling Center in Wilkes-Barre from 1-3pm.
