This week, the “Secretary of War,” Pete Hegseth, used his platform to criticize the media’s coverage of the Iran war. He went so far as to offer rewrites of specific headlines that he disapproved of, and said that he “can’t wait” for David Ellison to take over CNN.
Billionaire David Ellison is close to Trump and recently acquired CNN (as part of the Warner Bros. Discovery deal). He is expected to make CNN’s coverage more conservative, just as he did with CBS.
Meanwhile, Trump’s FCC Chair, Brendan Carr, has threatened to pull the licenses of TV broadcasters who are critical of the Iran war.
Join hosts Angela Rye, Andrew Gillum, and Bakari Sellers, along with guest Garrison Hayes, for this segment from episode #123 that aired on 03-19-26.
