Omar Sy sits down with Fernando Halman for an exclusive Real Talk conversation in Paris about Lupin, identity, fatherhood, representation and the man behind one of Netflix’s biggest characters.

In this interview, Omar explains why Assane Diop is such a personal role for him. He talks about growing up around Paris with African roots, how Lupin turns invisibility into a superpower, and why representation matters. He also opens up about fatherhood, raising children in a rapidly changing world, success, responsibility and what acting has taught him about himself.

One of the most powerful moments comes when Omar explains that becoming other people as an actor has actually helped him understand himself on a deeper level.

We also talk about Lupin Season 4 and the new challenge facing Assane: how do you disappear when the whole world already knows who you are?

This is more than a conversation about a television series. This is the real story behind Lupin told by the man who brought Assane Diop to life.
