He talks about the science behind movie posters / trailers, the creative writing process when dealing with dark subjects, and reveals just how much blood was spilled (and how much money it cost!) to bring the terrifying vision to life. In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Pixar’s ‘Elemental,' which explores the interconnectedness of the natural world and human emotions. He shares why he thinks it underperformed at the box office despite being a good movie.  In the Trailer Park, Mike takes a sneak peek at 'Kraven the Hunter,' the upcoming anti-hero film from Sony’s Spider-Man universe  in association with Marvel Entertainment.

Movie Mike dives into the millennial optimism era which is being described on TikTok as a strangely comforting, slightly delusional time in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Mike shares what movies best represent this era from 500 Days of Summer to Easy A as he remembers a world of hipster aesthetics, early Instagram, and a belief that life would only improve, often contrasting with current, more cynical times.  Mike gives his mini review of Disney-Pixar’s Hoppers. In the Movie Review, Mike shares his thoughts on THE BRIDE! starring Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale. It takes place in 1930s Chicago where a groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious brings a murdered young woman back to life to be a companion for Frankenstein's monster. Mike shares his thoughts on Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale’s amazing performances but ultimately why it felt like Maggie Gyllenhaal was holding back on the story she wanted to tell. In the Trailer Park, Mike breaks down Scary Movie 6 and the long awaited return of the Wayans brothers. Can a raunch parody movie of this magnitude work in today’s climate?   It marks the return of Anna Faris and Regina Hall 26 years after the original film first hit screens.

Mike and Kelsey are back to recap the Best and Worst Movies of February. Mike shares why he feels personally bad for his worst pic of the month after meeting one of the main actors from the film. Mike and Kelsey also share how they got busted at the movies when going to see Wuthering Heights. In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Scream 7. When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the town where Sidney Prescott has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter becomes the next target. Mike talks about why this movie was hard to watch, the awful Ghost Face Mask and if it’s time to kill this franchise.  In the Trailer Park,  Mike gives his thoughts on Toy Story 5. Everyone’s favorite toys will have to team up once again. This time they’ll need to work together to save Bonnie from her Lilypad smart tablet as screens take over childhood. Mike shares why this feels familiar to Toy Story 1 and why unfortunately Disney-Pixar will never end the series.

He plays a guy who must kill seven of his family members to inherit $28 billion. Mike talks about what the movie failed to set up but how undeniable Glen Powell is as an actor. Is he still on track to be the best big American movie star or is he being shoved down our throats? In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about THE BRIDE! Starring Christian Bale and Jessie Buckley. The story follows a lonely Frankenstein traveling to 1930s Chicago to seek help in creating a companion, resulting in the birth of the Bride.
