With the release of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Mike professes why he doesn’t mind a legacy sequel when done correctly. He shares his Top 8 80’s movies he thinks should get sequels. In the Movie Review, Mike gives his thoughts on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice directed by Tim Burton who also did the original. He shares the history of the 1998 movie and  how the sequel compares to it, Jenna Ortega’s horror legacy and Michael Keaton’s return as the Iconic character. In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and why it is subtly the best video game adaptation right now and how it  brought Jim Carrey out of retirement.

In the Movie Review, Mike and Kelsey got to see an early screening of Project Hail Mary starring Ryan Gosling. It’s about a science teacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship light-years from Earth. As his memory returns, he uncovers a mission to stop a mysterious substance killing the sun, and save Earth. An unexpected friendship may be the key. Mike and Kelsey share what it was like seeing it in 70mm IMAX, how it compared to the book and is it the best Ryan Gosling movie of all-time? In the Trailer Park, Mike breaks down Jake Gyllenhaal's and Henry Cavill’s upcoming action thriller “In The Grey” where they play elite operatives tasked with recovering a stolen billion-dollar fortune from a ruthless despot. Mike uses the opportunity to apologize to Jake Gyllenhaal.

Movie Mike dives into the millennial optimism era which is being described on TikTok as a strangely comforting, slightly delusional time in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Mike shares what movies best represent this era from 500 Days of Summer to Easy A as he remembers a world of hipster aesthetics, early Instagram, and a belief that life would only improve, often contrasting with current, more cynical times.  Mike gives his mini review of Disney-Pixar’s Hoppers. In the Movie Review, Mike shares his thoughts on THE BRIDE! starring Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale. It takes place in 1930s Chicago where a groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious brings a murdered young woman back to life to be a companion for Frankenstein's monster. Mike shares his thoughts on Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale’s amazing performances but ultimately why it felt like Maggie Gyllenhaal was holding back on the story she wanted to tell. In the Trailer Park, Mike breaks down Scary Movie 6 and the long awaited return of the Wayans brothers. Can a raunch parody movie of this magnitude work in today’s climate?   It marks the return of Anna Faris and Regina Hall 26 years after the original film first hit screens.
