Malaysia’s Online Safety Act is entering a major new phase with the introduction of the Child Protection Code and Risk Mitigation Code from June 1. The new rules place significantly greater responsibility on social media and messaging platforms to proactively reduce harmful content, scams, exploitation, and online risks involving children.
